    The complete HEFT Lagragian after the LHC Run I

    The complete effective chiral Lagrangian for a dynamical Higgs is presented and constrained by means of a global analysis including electroweak precision data together with Higgs and triple gauge-boson coupling data from the LHC Run I. The operators' basis up to next-to-leading order in the expansion consists of 148 (188 considering right-handed neutrinos) flavour universal terms and it is presented here making explicit the custodial nature of the operators. This effective Lagrangian provides the most general description of the physical Higgs couplings once the electroweak symmetry is assumed, and it allows for deviations from the SU(2)L doublet nature of the Standard Model Higgs. The comparison with the effective linear Lagrangian constructed with an exact SU(2)L doublet Higgs and considering operators with at most canonical dimension six is presented. A promising strategy to disentangle the two descriptions consists in analysing (i) anomalous signals present only in the chiral Lagrangian and not expected in the linear one, that are potentially relevant for LHC searches, and (ii) decorrelation effects between observables that are predicted to be correlated in the linear case and not in the chiral one. The global analysis presented here, which includes several kinematic distributions, is crucial for reducing the allowed parameter space and for controlling the correlations between parameters. This improves previous studies aimed at investigating the Higgs Nature and the origin of the electroweak symmetry breaking

    En esta tercera edición continuamos el análisis del Impuesto Adicional aplicable a los retiros efectivos sin establecimiento permanente que una persona sin domicilio o residencia en nuestro país efectúa desde una empresa chilena. Con este fin particular, recurrimos al enfoque metodológico relativo a las Modalidades del Impuesto, para reconocer y establecer el devengo y aplicación del Impuesto Adicional. Asimismo, el análisis contempla la aplicación del sistema de retención del Impuesto, cuyo deber de cumplimiento recae en el denominado agente retenedor. Para el análisis de la tributación de dichos retiros con fines metodológicos utilizamos un FUT Nocional, a tener presente al momento del retiro y cálculo de la retención, y un FUT Definitivo, a tener presente al término del ejercicio. También se introducen consideraciones a las partidas que deben considerarse retiradas de acuerdo a las normas de control del Art. 21 de la L.I.R. Para el desarrollo de las materias anotadas, se realiza una aplicación práctica del Impuesto Adicional sobre los retiros comentados

    Hahb-4, a homeobox-leucine zipper gene potentially involved in abscisic acid-dependent responses to water stress in sunflower

    The nucleotide sequence data reported will appear in the EMBL, GenBank and DDBJ Nucleotide Sequence Databases under the accession numbers AF339748 and AF339749.Homeodomain-leucine zipper proteins constitute a family of transcription factors found only in plants. We have characterized a full-length cDNA encoding the sunflower homeobox-leucine zipper protein Hahb-4 (Helianthus annuus homeo box-4). The complete cDNA is 674 base pairs long and contains an open reading frame of 177 amino acids that belongs to the Hd-Zip I subfamily. Northern blot and RNAse A protection analysis show that the expression of Hahb-4 is rapidly, strongly and reversibly induced by water deficit in whole seedlings, roots, stems and leaves. A similar fast induction of Hahb-4 expression is observed when seedlings are subjected to a treatment with the hormone abscisic acid (ABA). Nuclei prepared from seedlings treated with ABA or subjected to water stress show a significant increase of protein(s) that specifically bind the sequence 5′-CAAT(A/T)ATTG-3′, recognized in vitro by Hahb-4, suggesting that an active protein is synthesized in response to these treatments. The promoter region of the Hahb-4 gene contains sequences that fit the consensus for a G-box present in some ABA responsive elements (ABREs). We propose that Hahb-4 may function in signalling cascade(s) that control(s) a subset of the ABAmediated responses of sunflower to water stress.This work was supported by grants from CONICET, ANPCyT, Fundación Antorchas (Argentina) and Universidad Nacional del Litoral.     Caracterización petrográfica y petrofísica de la roca encajante de la Cueva del Rull (Vall d'Ebo, Alicante)

    La Cueva del Rull se encuentra en el sector nororiental de la Cordillera Bética, en el denominado Prebético Externo de Alicante (Azema 1977). Regionalmente, la zona de estudio está dominada por la dinámica compresiva de los materiales calizos existentes (Cretácico Superior) afectados, desde el Mioceno Medio y durante el Mioceno Superior, por diversos movimientos tectónicos a partir de los cuales se origina la Depresión de la Vall d'Ebo. Esta fosa tectónica, cuyos bordes norte y sur quedan delimitados por fallas normales con dirección aproximada E-O, está rellena por materiales rudíticos de edad Mioceno Superior, predominantemente conglomeráticos, de espesor variable (decenas a más de 100 metros), localmente plegados y depositados sobre margas de facies “tap” (margas mal estratificadas de carácter arcillo-limoso, desagregadas y de color blanquecino en superficie, cuya edad se atribuye al Mioceno Medio).Este trabajo ha sido financiado por el proyecto CGL2011-25162 del Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad.     Effect of increasing lignin in isoenergetic diets at two soluble fibre levels on digestion, performance and carcass quality of growing rabbits

    [EN] To assess the effect of increasing dietary lignin in isoenergetic diets at two soluble fibre (SF) levels on digestion, performance and carcass quality of growing rabbits, four diets were formulated according a 2 x 2 factorial design: low SF-low lignin (LSF/LL), low SF-high lignin (LSF/HL), high SF-low lignin (HSF/LL) and high SF-high lignin (HSF/HL). On average, in HSF diets SF was increased by 49 g/kg DM, mainly replacing starch ( - 53 g/kg DM), and in HL diets lignin was increased by 40 g/kg, mainly reducing starch (-78 g/kg DM), with increasing EE ( + 31 g/kg DM). Two hundred and sixty crossbred weaned rabbits (35 days old) were assigned to the experimental diets, individually housed and fed ad libitum until 63 days of age. Digestibility (from 49 to 53 days old), growth performance (from 35 to 63 days old), carcass quality (at 63 days old) and caecal environment (at 63 days old) were studied in 12, 65, 45 and 16 rabbits per diet, respectively. High SF diets showed higher CTTAD of fibrous fractions ( + 0.206 +/- 0.011, + 0.207 +/- 0.015, + 0.214 +/- 0.011 and + 0.167 +/- 0.015 for aNDFom, ADFom, hemicelluloses and cellulose, respectively, P < 0.001), OM ( + 0.042 +/- 0.004, P < 0.001) and GE ( + 0.055 +/- 0.005, P < 0.001), resulting in high DE content (10.6 vs. 9.30 MJ/kg DM). In contrast, CTTAD of CP was lower ( - 0.023 +/- 0.009, P = 0.013), as well as the DP content (96.9 vs. 103 g/kg DM). This dietary variation reduced the DM content of caecal digesta ( - 28 +/- 3 g/kg, P < 0.001), besides increasing its VFA concentration ( + 18.0 +/- 4.0 mmol/L, P < 0.001) and reducing its pH ( - 0.28 +/- 0.05, P < 0.001). Feed intake and LW gain decreased, with an improvement of feed to gain ratio ( -13.8 %, - 4.7 %, - 9.4 %, respectively; P < 0.001). The proportion of gastrointestinal tract was increased, with a subsequent reduction in dressing out ( + 19 +/- 2 g/kg LW and -15 +/- 2 g chilled carcass weight/kg LW, respectively, P < 0.001). High lignin diets showed lower CTTAD of OM (-0.055 +/- 0.004, P < 0.001) and GE ( - 0.034 +/- 0.005, P < 0.001) without affecting DE and DP contents. This dietary variation increased DM content of caecal digesta ( +21 +/- 3 g/kg, P < 0.001), but did not affect the other caecal digesta traits. Feed intake was higher ( + 4.9 %, P < 0.001), although differences were dependent on the growth phase and the SF level (maximum difference at 35-49 days with low SF diets, + 11.0 %, P < 0.001; minimum difference at 49-63 days with high SF diets, + 1.0 %, P = 0.689), but did not affect LW gain and consequently impaired the feed to gain ratio ( + 5.1 %, P < 0.001). In particular, repellents and insecticides have been incorporated in β-CD treated textiles to prolong their release. In this case, Citriodiol®, a naturally derived mosquito repellent, was incorporated to β-CD treated polyester (PET) nets. Two methods for citriodiol inclusion were studied; i) pipette dripping or ii) impregnation of fabric in a plastic bag, in order to increase the repellent activity of PET textile substrates. Release profiles were analyzed by gas chromatography and repellency was monitored by in vivo assays with Aedes aegypti mosquitoes.     ¿Existe alguna escala valida para valorar la dificultad de intubación con videolaringoscopio?

    Los videolaringoscopios son unos dispositivos, relativamente novedosos, introducidos en el mercado para facilitar la intubación de los pacientes al no ser necesario la alineación de los ejes oral, faríngeo y laríngeo. La principal limitación que encontramos en su uso es la dirección del tubo endotraqueal hacia la glotis. La escala Cormack-Lehane es el patrón de oro que utilizamos los anestesiólogos para valorar la visualización de la glotis con la laringoscopia directa. Actualmente no existe ninguna escala validad que permita describir la dificultad de intubación con los videolaringoscopios, probablemente por la variedad de dispositivos disponibles en el mercado. ABSTRACT Video laryngoscopes are relatively original devices placed in the market in order to make intubating patients easier as it´ s no  neccessary anymore the alignment of oral, pharyngeal and laryngeal shaft axis. The biggest constraint we face in its handling is the guide of the endotracheal tube to the glottis. Cormack-Lehane scale is the gold standar we anesthesiologists use to evaluate glottis display with direct laryngoscopy. Today there´s no valid scale able to describe intubation difficulty with video laryngoscopes, maybe because the huge ammount of different devices available
