    Consulta de enfermagem a gestantes com anemia ferropriva

    This study was carried out with the following objectives: to set up a protocol of data survey and nursing diagnosis, and to detect the most frequent nursing diagnosis among pregnant women with iron deficiency anemia. The protocol was applied in 52 nursing visits to pregnant women who presented hemoglobin values lower than 11.0g/dl.The most frequent nursing diagnosis were: altered nutrition, risk to infection, impaired maintenance of the home; knowledge deficit on adequate feeding; risk to fetal injury regarding decrease in uteroplacental perfucion; non-compliance risk. Based on nursing diagnoses, interventions and nursing expected results with its application were planned.Realizamos este trabajo con los siguientes objetivos: construir un protocolo de levantamiento de datos y conocer los diagnósticos de enfermería más frecuentes entre las mujeres embarazadas con anemia ferropénica. El protocolo fue aplicado en 52 consultas de enfermería para las gestantes que presentaban valores de hemoglobina abajo de 11,0 g/dl. Los diagnósticos de enfermería más frecuentes fueron: nutrición alterada, riesgo de infección, manutención del hogar perjudicada, déficit de conocimiento sobre la alimentación, riesgo de lesión fetal relacionada con la disminución de perfusión útero-placentária, riesgo de no comprometimiento. A partir de los diagnósticos de enfermería fueron planeadas las intervenciones y los resultados esperados con su aplicación.Este trabalho teve como objetivos: construir um protocolo de levantamento de dados e diagnósticos de enfermagem, e conhecer os diagnósticos de enfermagem mais freqüentes. O protocolo construído foi aplicado em 52 consultas de enfermagem para as gestantes que apresentavam valores de hemoglobina menores que 11,0g/dl. Os diagnósticos de enfermagem mais freqüentes foram: nutrição alterada, risco para infecção, manutenção do lar prejudicada; déficit de conhecimento sobre a alimentação, risco para lesão fetal relacionada a diminuição da perfusão útero-placentária.; risco de não-comprometimento. A partir dos diagnósticos de enfermagem foram planejadas as intervenções e os resultados esperados com a sua aplicação

    2D and 3D-Organized Cardiac Cells Shows Differences in Cellular Morphology, Adhesion Junctions, Presence of Myofibrils and Protein Expression

    Cardiac cells are organized in vivo in a complex tridimensional structural organization that is crucial for heart function. While in vitro studies can reveal details about cardiac cell biology, usually cells are grown on simplified two-dimensional (2D) environments. To address these differences, we established a cardiac cell culture composed of both 2D and three-dimensional (3D)-organized cells. Our results shows significant differences between the two culture contexts in relation to the overall morphology of the cells, contraction ability, proliferation rate, presence of intercellular adhesion structures, organization of myofibrils, mitochondria morphology, endoplasmic reticulum contents, cytoskeletal filaments and extracellular matrix distribution, and expression of markers of cardiac differentiation. Cardiac cells grown in 2D-context displayed a flattened and well spread shape, were mostly isolated and their cytoplasm was filled with a large network of microfilaments and microtubules. In contrast, 3D-cells were smaller in size, were always in close contact with each other with several cellular junctions, and displayed a less conspicuous cytoskeletal network. 3D-cells had more mitochondria and myofibrils and these cells contract spontaneously more often than 2D-cells. On the other hand, endoplasmic reticulum membranes were present in higher amounts in 2D-cells when compared to 3D-cells. The expression of desmin, cadherin and alpha-actinin was higher in 3D-aggregates compared to 2D-spread cells. These findings indicate that the tridimensional environment in which the cardiac cells are grown influence several aspects of cardiac differentiation, including cell adhesion, cell shape, myofibril assembly, mitochondria contents and protein expression. We suggest that the use of this cardiac culture model, with 2D and 3D-context cells, could be useful for studies on the effects of different drugs, or growth factors, giving valuable information on the biological response of cells grown in different spatial organizations

    Tecnologia assistiva e envelhecimento ativo segundo profissionais atuantes em grupos de convivência

    Objective: To identify the knowledge of professionals about assistive technology and its importance in the elderly’s life. Method: Exploratory descriptive qualitative study performed with professionals working in three community groups in the city of Cajazeiras (state of Paraíba/PB). Data were collected through an interview with semi-structured script and analyzed according to the Content Analysis Technique. Results: Participation of 45 professionals. Four categories were identified, namely: Knowledge about assistive technology; Professionals’ lack of knowledge about available assistive technologies for implementation in work with the elderly; Use of assistive technology by the elderly; Impact on professional practices after implementation of assistive technology. Conclusion: Some of professionals have knowledge about assistive technology and others make a wrong interpretation by confusing it with working instruments.     Caracterização de dissertações da enfermagem: tipo de abordagem e produtos gerados

    The purpose of this study was to describe types of approach and delineations of the dissertations produced in the Graduate Program in Nursing of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (PPGEnfUFRN) over the years, and characterize scientific publications produced by students and graduates, and to analyze the existing relations between these aspects. This is a descriptive-exploratory study, documentary, carried out by means of the survey of the dissertations produced in the PPGEnf-UFRN at the academic master’s level, together with the data available in the Plataforma Lattes on productions of students and graduates from 1999 to August 2012. The 185 dissertations produced in the PPGEnfUFRN were published between 1999 and 2012. It was possible to identify that the dissertations present a greater predominance of the qualitative approach (61%), and studies with a non-experimental design (99%). The study evidenced the productive potential of the post-graduate program studied.O presente estudo teve por objetivos descrever tipos de abordagem e delineamentos das dissertações produzidas no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Enfermagem da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte (PPGEnf-UFRN) ao longo dos anos, e caracterizar publicações científicas produzidas por alunos e egressos, e analisar as relações existentes entre esses aspectos. Trata-se de um estudo descritivo-exploratório, documental, realizado através do levantamento das dissertações produzidas no PPGEnf-UFRN em nível de mestrado acadêmico, junto aos dados disponíveis na Plataforma Lattes sobre produções dos alunos e egressos no período de 1999 até agosto de 2012.  As 185 dissertações produzidas no PPGEnf-UFRN foram publicadas entre os anos de 1999 e 2012. Foi possível identificar que as dissertações apresentam maior predominância da abordagem qualitativa (61%), e estudos com delineamento não experimentais (99%). O estudo evidenciou o potencial produtivo do programa de pós-graduação estudado.

    Characterization of aqueous silver nitrate solutions for leakage tests

    OBJECTIVE: To determine the pH over a period of 168 h and the ionic silver content in various concentrations and post-preparation times of aqueous silver nitrate solutions. Also, the possible effects of these factors on microleakage test in adhesive/resin restorations in primary and permanent teeth were evaluated. MATERIAL AND METHODS: A digital pHmeter was used for measuring the pH of the solutions prepared with three types of water (purified, deionized or distilled) and three brands of silver nitrate salt (Merck, Synth or Cennabras) at 0, 1, 2, 24, 48, 72, 96 and 168 h after preparation, and storage in transparent or dark bottles. Ionic silver was assayed according to the post-preparation times (2, 24, 48, 72, 96, 168 h) and concentrations (1, 5, 25, 50%) of solutions by atomic emission spectrometry. For each sample of each condition, three readings were obtained for calculating the mean value. Class V cavities were prepared with enamel margins on primary and permanent teeth and restored with the adhesive systems OptiBond FL or OptiBond SOLO Plus SE and the composite resin Filtek Z-250. After nail polish coverage, the permanent teeth were immersed in 25% or 50% AgNO3 solution and the primary teeth in 5% or 50% AgNO3 solutions for microleakage evaluation. ANOVA and the Tukey's test were used for data analyses (α=5%). RESULTS: The mean pH of the solutions ranged from neutral to alkaline (7.9±2.2 to 11.8±0.9). Mean ionic silver content differed depending on the concentration of the solution (4.75±0.5 to 293±15.3 ppm). In the microleakage test, significant difference was only observed for the adhesive system factor (p=0.000). CONCLUSIONS: Under the tested experimental conditions and based on the obtained results, it may be concluded that the aqueous AgNO3 solutions: have neutral/alkaline pH and service life of up to 168 h; the level of ionic silver is proportional to the concentration of the solution; even at 5% concentration, the solutions were capable of indicating loss of marginal seal in the composite restorations; the 3-step conventional adhesive system had better performance regarding microleakage in enamel on primary and permanent teeth.FAPESPCNPqCAPES - PQ

    PAIN IN THE NEONATAL UNIT: THE KNOWLEDGE, ATTITUDE AND PRACTICE OF THE NURSING TEAM

    Avaliar conhecimento, atitude e prática da equipe de enfermagem no manejo da dor no recém-nascido, segundo a formação profissional. Estudo transversal, realizado na Unidade Neonatal em hospital de referência em Recife, estado de Pernambuco, com 105 profissionais, entre agosto e outubro de 2014. Análise realizada no Stata 12.1, utilizado teste t-Student e considerado p<0,05. Quando comparado conhecimento, atitude e prática da equipe de enfermagem, houve melhor desempenho para atitude, embora não tenha sido estatisticamente significante. Em conhecimento e prática, no nível superior, o valor foi significativo para os que receberam treinamento sobre manejo da dor. No nível médio, todas as diferenças de médias foram significantes (p<0,05). Para todos os profissionais, a atitude apresentou maiores médias. Conclui-se que os profissionais que trabalham com o recém-nascido devem ser capacitados e treinados continuamente, para que o conhecimento teórico reflita sobre a prática profissional.Estudio cuya finalidad fue evaluar conocimiento, actitud y práctica del equipo de enfermería en el manejo del dolor del recién nacido, de acuerdo con la formación profesional. Se concluye que los profesionales que trabajan con el recién nacido deben ser habilitados y entrenados continuamente, para que el conocimiento teórico sea reflejo sobre la práctica profesional.This study aims to evaluate the knowledge, attitude and practice of the nursing team in the management of pain in the newborn, in terms of professional training. It is a transversal study, undertaken in the Neonatal Unit of a specialist hospital in Recife in the Brazilian state of Pernambuco, with 105 professionals, between August and October 2014. Analysis was undertaken using the Stata 12.1 software, Student’s t-test was used and p<0.05 was considered. When the knowledge, attitude and practice of the nursing team was compared, there was better performance for attitude, although this was not statistically significant. In knowledge and practice, among those with higher education, the value was significant for those who had received training on pain management. For those educated to high school level only, all of the differences of means were significant (p<0.05). For all the professionals, attitude presented higher means. It is concluded that the professionals who work with the newborn must be continuously empowered and trained, such that theoretical knowledge may be reflected in the professional practice

    A importância da literatura infantil no processo de desenvolvimento da leitura dos alunos da 2ª série do ensino fundamental

    Pode-se observar que a Literatura Infantil no campo educacional funciona como um importante recurso estimulador da aprendizagem para todos os educandos. Nesse sentido o objetivo geral desta pesquisa é investigar a Literatura como fonte de motivação para o desenvolvimento da criança. De maneira mais especifica buscou enfatizar a análise da literatura infantil como fonte de recursos para o desenvolvimento da criança; investigar as estratégias de motivação dos professores para despertar o interesse dos alunos. Para atingir estes objetivos optou-se pela pesquisa bibliográfica, por ser bastante apropriada para está temática e a pesquisa de campo, fundamentada em pelos pressupostos da metodologia qualitativa, na qual foi utilizado o questionário, aplicado com oito professores da 2ª série e a observação em equipe, com os alunos. A análise de dados evidenciou a importância da literatura como um elemento que possibilita o desenvolvimento da imaginação das crianças e um processo contínuo do aprendizado. O estudo possibilitou uma maior compreensão da literatura infantil no ambiente escolar e como ela pode ser trabalhada na prática diária em sala de aula, concebendo-a como um movimento amplo de interação. Constatou-se, ainda a possibilidade de construção do conhecimento que permite que as crianças consigam redigir melhor, desenvolvendo sua criatividade, confirmando que o ato de ler e o ato de escrever estão intimamente interligados

    O transtorno do desejo sexual hipoativo (TDSH), é uma disfunção sexual, que tem como sintomas principais a deficiência ou ausência de desejo ou fantasia sexual, de maneira persistente, assim, produz sofrimento clínico significativo e piora na qualidade de vida da mulher. O objetivo central do trabalho é, não só, analisar por meio de questionário o TDSH em acadêmicas da área de saúde do centro universitário Uninovafapi, mas também, correlacionar os dados obtidos com privação de sono, consumo de antidepressivos, anticoncepcionais, álcool e drogas ilícitas. Sob essa ótica, dar mais ênfase a esse problema de saúde, tão negligenciado ao longo do tempo

    A prevenção do diabetes e suas complicações é um desafio para a equipe de saúde. O objetivo desta pesquisa foi avaliar o efeito de ação educativa sobre o conhecimento da doença em pacientes portadores de diabetes tipo 2. Foi realizado ensaio clínico randomizado com 62 pacientes cadastrados em serviço de referência para tratamento da hipertensão arterial, no ano 2010. Os dados foram obtidos através de questionário aplicado aos grupos intervenção (GI) e controle (GC), no momento inicial e no final do estudo. O GI participou de atividades educativas em grupo, utilizando a metodologia problematizadora. Os resultados mostraram aumento significativo do conhecimento sobre diabetes nos pacientes do GI, em todas as questões (pLa prevención de diabetes y sus complicaciones es un desafío para el equipo de salud. El objetivo de esta investigación fue evaluar el efecto de acción educativa sobre el conocimiento de la enfermedad en pacientes portadores de diabetes tipo 2.     Inheritance of tolerance to flooded soils in maize

    Maize could be an excellent option for crop rotation in flooded areas in southern Brazil. There are, however,few studies on the genetic basis of tolerance to flooding in maize. The objective of this study was to determine the inheritanceof this tolerance based on plant and root dry matter of young maize plants. Maize lines were crossed to form three populationsin the F1, F2, and backcross generations. Tolerance to flooding was assessed over two years in a greenhouse. The performanceof the generations showed the presence of heterosis. The variances in the segregating generations were higher than in the fixedgenerations throughout, indicating genetic variability for plant and root dry matter. The frequency distribution of F2 suggestedthat tolerance to flooding is controlled by many genes of complementary effect
