    79 p.La presente memoria tiene como objeto principal indagar y analizar al intermediario de comercio que se dedica a mediar para la consecución de ventas a través de sitios web dedicados a realizar remates utilizando la plataforma electrónica que internet proporciona. La importancia del tema radica en la creciente cantidad de comerciantes que escogen a estas empresas para realizar su actividad depositando su confianza en los datos que estas les entregan y que de no ser veraces podrían ocasionar que las obligaciones contraidas no lleguen a cumplirse. Nos referiremos específicamente, en primer lugar, a singularizar a la llamada empresa de venta por remates, para posteriormente descubrir su naturaleza jurídica, señalando una posible definición del sujeto en estudio, y establecer las responsabilidades que le cabe en el ejercicio de sus obligaciones, tanto comerciales como las que escapan de este ámbito. Culminaremos nuestro trabajo exponiendo las conclusiones a que dio lugar la investigación propuesta

    La siguiente investigación tiene como objetivo desarrollar propuestas de mejora para la empresa SUPEMSA, con el fin de poder reducir en gran proporción la cantidad de productos reingresados y mejorar la productividad económica. Por ende, se desarrolló un análisis exhaustivo de la empresa tanto interno como externo para determinar sus principales causas y problemas. Como parte del diagnóstico, se conoció el funcionamiento interno de la empresa, y se identificaron y analizaron los diversos problemas que tenía; posterior a ello, se plantearon alternativas de solución sostenibles, las cuales están alineadas a las principales herramientas de ingeniería descritas y utilizadas en el proyecto. Finalmente se plantearon algunas conclusiones y recomendaciones de la investigación, las cuales dan una visión final de todo lo investigado en este proyecto y de lo que debería realizar la empresa para remediar el problema principal.The following investigation aims to develop improvement proposals for SUPEMSA, in order to be able to reduce the number of re-entered products and improve their productivity. Therefore, an exhaustive analysis internal and external of the company has been developed to determine its main causes and problems. As part of the diagnosis, it was requested to know the internal process of the company and how they operate, many problems were identified and analyzed; after that, sustainable solution alternatives were proposed which are aligned with the main engineering tools described and used in the project.     Merkel Cell Polyomavirus Small T Antigen Promotes Pro-Glycolytic Metabolic Perturbations Required for Transformation

    An accurate analytic model describing the microscopic mechanism of high-harmonic generation (HHG) in solids is derived. Extensive first-principles simulations within a time-dependent density-functional framework corroborate the conclusions of the model. Our results reveal that (i) the emitted HHG spectra are highly anisotropic and laser-polarization dependent even for cubic crystals; (ii) the harmonic emission is enhanced by the inhomogeneity of the electron-nuclei potential; the yield is increased for heavier atoms; and (iii) the cutoff photon energy is driver-wavelength independent. Moreover, we show that it is possible to predict the laser polarization for optimal HHG in bulk crystals solely from the knowledge of their electronic band structure. Our results pave the way to better control and optimize HHG in solids by engineering their band structure

    "Introducción: La pandemia afectó el internado de estudiantes de salud en su asistencia hospitalaria, en la cual realizan las prácticas. Objetivo: Determinar los factores asociados a la percepción de repercusiones del internado hospitalario peruano durante la COVID-19. Métodos: Estudio transversal; se obtuvo estadística descriptiva, analítica bivariada y multivariada basado en una encuesta realizada de forma exploratoria, como parte de otra investigación mayor, a la cual se le asoció variables como edad, sexo, tipo de universidad, estrés, ansiedad, depresión y repercusiones del internado. Resultados: De los 121 encuestados, la mayoría pensó que su familia le hubiese apoyado si se enfermaba de gravedad, que pudo haber infectado a sus familiares o alguna amistad/conocido si acudían al hospital. Muchos estuvieron en desacuerdo con que el hospital o la universidad les darían los implementos de seguridad, por la falta de apoyo de estas entidades. Hubo asociación entre el pensar que se habría contagiado de la COVID-19 si iba al hospital versus el puntaje de ansiedad (p= 0,030), el sexo masculino, según la percepción de que la universidad les daría los materiales para cuidarse (p= 0,029) y el provenir de una universidad privada según el percibir que el hospital no le hubiese apoyado, si se enfermaba de gravedad (p= 0,049). Conclusión: Los factores asociados a la percepción de repercusiones del internado son el apoyo familiar, el poder contagiar a sus familiares, falta de materiales dados por las universidades y hospitales, la ansiedad, el sexo masculino y provenir de universidades privadas.

    Identification of FAM111A as an SV40 Host Range Restriction and Adenovirus Helper Factor

    The small genome of polyomaviruses encodes a limited number of proteins that are highly dependent on interactions with host cell proteins for efficient viral replication. The SV40 large T antigen (LT) contains several discrete functional domains including the LXCXE or RB-binding motif, the DNA binding and helicase domains that contribute to the viral life cycle. In addition, the LT C-terminal region contains the host range and adenovirus helper functions required for lytic infection in certain restrictive cell types. To understand how LT affects the host cell to facilitate viral replication, we expressed full-length or functional domains of LT in cells, identified interacting host proteins and carried out expression profiling. LT perturbed the expression of p53 target genes and subsets of cell-cycle dependent genes regulated by the DREAM and the B-Myb-MuvB complexes. Affinity purification of LT followed by mass spectrometry revealed a specific interaction between the LT C-terminal region and FAM111A, a previously uncharacterized protein. Depletion of FAM111A recapitulated the effects of heterologous expression of the LT C-terminal region, including increased viral gene expression and lytic infection of SV40 host range mutants and adenovirus replication in restrictive cells.     Rectovaginal Colonization with Serotypes of Group B Streptococci with Reduced Penicillin Susceptibility among Pregnant Women in Leon, Nicaragua

    Group B Streptococci (GBS) are important causes of neonatal sepsis and meningitis globally. To elucidate the potential benefits of maternal GBS vaccines, data is needed on the epidemiology of maternal GBS rectovaginal colonization, distribution of serotypes, and resistance to intrapartum antibiotic prophylaxis (IAP). We collected rectal and vaginal samples from 305 pregnant women in León, Nicaragua between 35 and 40 weeks gestation. Samples were cultured for GBS and confirmed using latex agglutination. GBS isolates underwent serotyping by quantitative polymerase chain reaction, and antimicrobial susceptibility testing by disk diffusion and microdilution following Clinical Laboratory Standard Institute guidelines. Sixty-three women (20.7%) were colonized with GBS in either the rectum or the vagina. Of 91 GBS isolates collected from positive cultures, most were serotypes II (28.6%), Ia (27.5%), and III (20.9%). Most GBS isolates (52.9%) were resistant to penicillin, the first-line prophylactic antibiotic. Penicillin resistance was highly correlated with resistance to vancomycin, ceftriaxone, and meropenem. The results of our study suggest that one-fifth of pregnant women in the urban area of León, Nicaragua are colonized with GBS and risk transmitting GBS to their offspring during labor. High resistance to commonly available antibiotics in the region suggests that prophylactic maternal GBS vaccination would be an effective alternative to IAP

    Analysis of the Aspergillus fumigatus Proteome Reveals Metabolic Changes and the Activation of the Pseurotin A Biosynthesis Gene Cluster in Response to Hypoxia

    The mold Aspergillus fumigatus is the most important airborne fungal pathogen. Adaptation to hypoxia represents an important virulence attribute for A. fumigatus. Therefore, we aimed at obtaining a comprehensive overview about this process on the proteome level. To ensure highly reproducible growth conditions, an oxygen-controlled, glucose-limited chemostat cultivation was established. Two-dimensional gel electrophoresis analysis of mycelial and mitochondrial proteins as well as two-dimensional Blue Native/SDS-gel separation of mitochondrial membrane proteins led to the identification of 117 proteins with an altered abundance under hypoxic in comparison to normoxic conditions. Hypoxia induced an increased activity of glycolysis, the TCA-cycle, respiration, and amino acid metabolism. Consistently, the cellular contents in heme, iron, copper, and zinc increased. Furthermore, hypoxia induced biosynthesis of the secondary metabolite pseurotin A as demonstrated at proteomic, transcriptional, and metabolite levels. The observed and so far not reported stimulation of the biosynthesis of a secondary metabolite by oxygen depletion may also affect the survival of A. fumigatus in hypoxic niches of the human host. Among the proteins so far not implicated in hypoxia adaptation, an NO-detoxifying flavohemoprotein was one of the most highly up-regulated proteins which indicates a link between hypoxia and the generation of nitrosative stress in A. fumigatus

    Retrospective evaluation of whole exome and genome mutation calls in 746 cancer samples

    Funder: NCI U24CA211006Abstract: The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and International Cancer Genome Consortium (ICGC) curated consensus somatic mutation calls using whole exome sequencing (WES) and whole genome sequencing (WGS), respectively. Here, as part of the ICGC/TCGA Pan-Cancer Analysis of Whole Genomes (PCAWG) Consortium, which aggregated whole genome sequencing data from 2,658 cancers across 38 tumour types, we compare WES and WGS side-by-side from 746 TCGA samples, finding that ~80% of mutations overlap in covered exonic regions. We estimate that low variant allele fraction (VAF < 15%) and clonal heterogeneity contribute up to 68% of private WGS mutations and 71% of private WES mutations. We observe that ~30% of private WGS mutations trace to mutations identified by a single variant caller in WES consensus efforts. WGS captures both ~50% more variation in exonic regions and un-observed mutations in loci with variable GC-content. Together, our analysis highlights technological divergences between two reproducible somatic variant detection efforts
