Concept of The Environment in expert view of Czechoslovak architects 1960-1971

This study analyses the concept of The Environment among Czechoslovak architects and on the field of architectural theory in the 1960s. Environmental problematic was frequent topic across different expert groups since end of the 1950s and especially in the 1960s. Architects was one those groups and they actively further developed this concept of The Environment and environmental problematics during 1960s. This effort had brought interesting theoretical concepts and ideas and was also influenced by general Czechoslovak intellectual milieu of 1960s. Architects also started to critically address the degradation of natural environment due to increasing industrial pollution. They also accomplished several successes on the field of environmental problematics. They managed to establish specialized field of study and played a key role in some international conferences and meetings dealing with environmental problems under UNESCO, OSN or International Union of Architects. This study indicates some of yet not well known intellectual riches of Czechoslovak 1960s and also points that continuous environmental degradation during the reign of communist party was not caused by insufficient expertise and the source for this major problem should be further researched. Key words: Architecture, Environment,...Práce se zabývá reflexí témat životního prostředí v expertním prostředí československých architektů v šedesátých letech dvacátého století. Životní prostředí se od konce padesátých let a zejména v letech šedesátých stalo frekventovaným tématem napříč různými odbornostmi. Českoslovenští architekti patřili právě k jedné z těchto skupin a během šedesátých let toto téma významně rozvíjeli. To se promítlo nejen do architektonické teorie, ale i konkrétních výstupů jako bylo založení specializovaného oboru nebo výrazným podílem na organizaci a účasti na mezinárodních setkání k problematice životního prostředí v rámci Evropské hospodářské komise OSN, UNESCO nebo Mezinárodní unie architektů. Kromě těchto přímých výstupů přineslo promýšlení témat životního prostředí také zajímavé teoretické koncepty, které zapadají do obecného intelektuálního milieu šedesátých let a dále ukazují na prozatím ne zcela prozkoumanou myšlenkovou bohatost československého intelektuálního a odborného prostředí. Architekti taktéž kriticky poukazovali na pokračující degradaci přírodního prostředí Tato analýza, proto nadále ukazuje, že kontinuální problematický stav životního prostředí v době vlády komunistické strany nebyl způsoben nezájmem o toto téma ze strany odborných kruhů či jeho nedostatečnou reflexí. Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou deformace plechů, které jsou spojené pomocí technologie lepení. V teoretické části lze nalézt informace ohledně technologií rozebíratelných a nerozebíratelných spojů a základní informace ohledně bezkontaktního měření a fotogrammetrie. Cílem praktické části bylo zjištění deformace, vyvolané vytvrzováním lepidla za vysoké teploty v peci u tří typů lepidel. Spindle asymmetry drives non- Mendelian chromosome segregation

International audienceGenetic elements compete for transmission through meiosis, when haploid gametes are created from a diploid parent. Selfish elements can enhance their transmission through a process known as meiotic drive. In female meiosis, selfish elements drive by preferentially attaching to the egg side of the spindle.This implies some asymmetry between the two sides of the spindle, but the molecular mechanisms underlying spindle asymmetry are unknown. Here we found that CDC42 signaling from the cell cortex regulated microtubule tyrosination to induce spindle asymmetry and that non-Mendelian segregation depended on this asymmetry. Cortical CDC42 depends on polarization directed by chromosomes, which are positioned near the cortex to allow the asymmetric cell division.Thus, selfish meiotic drivers exploit the asymmetry inherent in female meiosis to bias their transmission

Quantitative Microscopy Reveals Centromeric Chromatin Stability, Size, and Cell Cycle Mechanisms to Maintain Centromere Homeostasis

This publication hasn't any creative commons license associated.Centromeres are chromatin domains specified by nucleosomes containing the histone H3 variant, CENP-A. This unique centromeric structure is at the heart of a strong self-templating epigenetic mechanism that renders centromeres heritable. We review how specific quantitative microscopy approaches have contributed to the determination of the copy number, architecture, size, and dynamics of centromeric chromatin and its associated centromere complex and kinetochore. These efforts revealed that the key to long-term centromere maintenance is the slow turnover of CENP-A nucleosomes, a critical size of the chromatin domain and its cell cycle-coupled replication. Analysis of shows with gastronomy content and their positions in czech television brodcast

Bachelor thesis follows expansion of gastornomy and culinary trend in modern society and its way of using by mass media. This work does not look for answers to why media use new trends in proces of creation of new media content, nevertheless this work tries to create a picture of how media use these trends and in which way. Following work focused on the presentation of gastronomy in czech media. Published research provides comparation of representation of gastronomy in several TV shows by using content analysis. This research discovers actual share of act of cooking and other examples of gastronomy. One of the goals of this work is to discover how media use gastronomy topic and also for which purpose we, as a spectators, consume their content. One of the main ideas behind this research is strong position of entertainment in media and its influence of rating numbers. Rokczaner family of Prague's Old Town. From councillors to knights

This bachelor's thesis is focused on Rockzaner family, one significant patrician family of Prague's Old Town. The goal of this thesis is to bring wide biographical description of this family. Similiar biography already exists but just as a part of monumental work of Vaclav Vladivoj Tomek from 70's of 19th century. That is why I am persuaded that such biography should be rewriten to better suit modern historical science. Another goal is to prove that topic of prague's patrician families is not exhausted and there is still a plenty of free space for a research to be done. Next to biographical description this thesis also contains one chapter devoted to Rockzaner's rural estates and its's problematic. As for my opinion this biography should stand as a basis for future research of Rockzaner family and their's economical and social activities.
