    Sentiment analysis on predicting presidential election: Twitter used case

It allows users to share/post opinions, social media events, and interact with other political and ordinary people. According to Statista web site 2019 statistical report, it estimated that the number of users on Twitter had grown dramatically over the past couple of years to research 300 million users. Twitter has become the largest source of news and postings for key presidents and political figures. Referring to the Trackalytics 2019 report, the recent president of the USA had posted 4,000 tweets per year, which indicates an average of 11–12 tweets per day. Our research proposes a technique that extracts and analyzes tweets from blogs and predicts election results based on tweets analysis. It assessed the people’s opinion and studied the impact that might predict the final results for the Turkey 2018 presidential election candidates. The final results were compared with the actual election results and had a high accuracy prediction percentage based on the collected 22,000 tweets

    Chapter 10 - Industry

    This chapter provides an update to developments on mitigation in the industry sector since the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) Fourth Assessment Report (AR4) (IPCC, 2007), but has much wider coverage. Industrial activities create all the physical products (e.g., cars, agricultural equipment, fertilizers, textiles, etc.) whose use delivers the final services that satisfy current human needs. Compared to the industry chapter in AR4, this chapter analyzes industrial activities over the whole supply chain, from extraction of primary materials (e.g., ores) or recycling (of waste materials), through product manufacturing, to the demand for the products and their services. It includes a discussion of trends in activity and emissions, options for mitigation (technology, practices, and behavioural aspects), estimates of the mitigation potentials of some of these options and related costs, co-benefits, risks and barriers to their deployment, as well as industry-specific policy instruments. Findings of integrated models (long-term mitigation pathways) are also presented and discussed from the sector perspective. In addition, at the end of the chapter, the hierarchy in waste management and mitigation opportunities are synthesized, covering key waste-related issues that appear across all chapters in the Working Group III contribution to the IPCC Fifth Assessment Report (AR5)

    Two neutrino positron double beta decay of 106^{106}Cd for 0+0+0^+ \to 0^+ transition

    The two neutrino positron double beta decay of 106^{106}Cd for 0+^{+} \to 0+^{+} transition has been studied in the Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov model in conjunction with the summation method. In the first step, the reliability of the intrinsic wave functions of 106^{106}Cd and 106^{106}Pd nuclei has been tested by comparing the theoretically calculated results for yrast spectra, reduced B(E2B(E2:0+2+)0^{+}\to 2^{+}) transition probabilities, quadrupole moments Q(2+)Q(2^{+}) and gyromagnetic factors g(2+)g(2^{+}) with the available experimental data. In the second step, the nuclear transition matrix element M2νM_{2\nu} and the half-life T1/22νT_{1/2}^{2\nu} for 0+^{+}\to 0+^{+} transition have been calculated with these wave functions.     The very red afterglow of GRB 000418 - further evidence for dust extinction in a GRB host galaxy

    We report near-infrared and optical follow-up observations of the afterglow of the Gamma-Ray Burst 000418 starting 2.5 days after the occurrence of the burst and extending over nearly seven weeks. GRB 000418 represents the second case for which the afterglow was initially identified by observations in the near-infrared. During the first 10 days its R-band afterglow was well characterized by a single power-law decay with a slope of 0.86. However, at later times the temporal evolution of the afterglow flattens with respect to a simple power-law decay. Attributing this to an underlying host galaxy we find its magnitude to be R=23.9 and an intrinsic afterglow decay slope of 1.22. The afterglow was very red with R-K=4 mag. The observations can be explained by an adiabatic, spherical fireball solution and a heavy reddening due to dust extinction in the host galaxy.     New Higgs signals induced by mirror fermion mixing effects

    We study the conditions under which flavor violation arises in scalar-fermion interactions, as a result of the mixing phenomena between the standard model and exotic fermions. Phenomenological consequences are discussed within the specific context of a left-right model where these additional fermions have mirror properties under the new SU(2)_R gauge group. Bounds on the parameters of the model are obtained from LFV processes; these results are then used to study the LFV Higgs decays (H --> tau l_j, l_j = e, mu), which reach branching ratios that could be detected at future colliders.Comment: 12 pages, 2 figures, ReVTex4, graphicx, to be published in Phys.     Swift Follow-up Observations of Candidate Gravitational-wave Transient Events

    We present the first multi-wavelength follow-up observations of two candidate gravitational-wave (GW) transient events recorded by LIGO and Virgo in their 2009-2010 science run. The events were selected with low latency by the network of GW detectors (within less than 10 minutes) and their candidate sky locations were observed by the Swift observatory (within 12 hr). Image transient detection was used to analyze the collected electromagnetic data, which were found to be consistent with background. Off-line analysis of the GW data alone has also established that the selected GW events show no evidence of an astrophysical origin; one of them is consistent with background and the other one was a test, part of a blind injection challenge. With this work we demonstrate the feasibility of rapid follow-ups of GW transients and establish the sensitivity improvement joint electromagnetic and GW observations could bring. This is a first step toward an electromagnetic follow-up program in the regime of routine detections with the advanced GW instruments expected within this decade. In that regime, multi-wavelength observations will play a significant role in completing the astrophysical identification of GW sources. We present the methods and results from this first combined analysis and discuss its implications in terms of sensitivity for the present and future instruments. © 2012.     Nuclear deformation and the two neutrino double-\beta decay in ^{124,126}Xe,^{128,130}Te, ^{130,132}Ba and ^{150}Nd isotopes

    The two neutrino double beta decay of 124,126^{124,126}Xe,128,130^{128,130}Te, 130,132 ^{130,132}Ba and 150^{150}Nd isotopes is studied in the Projected Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov (PHFB) model. Theoretical 2ν\nu ββ\beta^{-}\beta ^{-} half-lives of 128,130^{128,130}Te, and 150^{150}Nd isotopes, and 2νβ+β+\nu \beta^{+}\beta^{+}, 2ν\nu β+EC\beta^{+}EC and 2ν\nu ECECECEC for 124,126 ^{124,126}Xe and 130,132^{130,132}Ba nuclei are presented. Calculated quadrupolar transition probabilities B(E2: 0+2+0^+\to 2^+), static quadrupole moments and gg factors in the parent and daughter nuclei reproduce the experimental information, validating the reliability of the model wave functions. The anticorrelation between nuclear deformation and the nuclear transition matrix element M2νM_{2\nu} is confirmed.Comment: 19 page

    Very high column density and small reddening towards GRB 020124 at z = 3.20

    We present optical and near-infrared observations of the dim afterglow of GRB 020124, obtained between 2 and 68 hours after the gamma-ray burst. The burst occurred in a very faint (R > 29.5) Damped Ly-alpha Absorber (DLA) at a redshift of z = 3.198 +- 0.004. The derived column density of neutral hydrogen is log(N_H) = 21.7 +- 0.2 and the rest-frame reddening is constrained to be E(B-V) < 0.065, i.e., A_V < 0.20 for standard extinction laws with R_V ~ 3. The resulting dust-to-gas ratio is less than 11 % of that found in the Milky Way, but consistent with the SMC and high-redshift QSO DLAs, indicating a low metallicity and/or a low dust-to-metals ratio in the burst environment. A grey extinction law (large R_V), produced through preferential destruction of small dust grains by the GRB, could increase the derived A_V and dust-to-gas ratio. The dimness of the afterglow is however fully accounted for by the high redshift: If GRB 020124 had been at z = 1 it would have been approximately 1.8 mag brighter--in the range of typical bright afterglows.Comment: 23 pages, 6 figures, ApJ, in pres
