Design of a Reference Buffer for a Delta-Sigma ADC with Current DAC
In analog to digital conversion, it’s necessary to provide a reference voltage to the Analog
to Digital Converter (ADC), in order to quantify the input signal. However, as the
ADC has a switch constantly commuting on its input it will cause perturbations on the
reference voltage provided by the Bandgap circuit. Thus, it will interfere with the normal
behaviour of the Bandgap circuit, which will longer be capable of provide the desired
reference voltage.
Besides, if the reference voltage is not constant in the desired value the output code generated
by the ADC will have errors.
In order to avoid conversion errors it will be needed to introduce a buffer between the
Bandgap and the ADC. Thus, taking advantage from the characteristics of the buffer (low
output impedance, high input impedance and unitary gain) the system will be capable of
recover from the perturbations introduced by the ADC in the reference voltage.
Therefore, in this thesis are studied some of the already existing architectures of buffers,
in order to see the advantages and disadvantages of each one. This way were chosen the
best three architectures from a theoretical point of view, to implement and simulate, to
obtain all the needed information in order to better compare them
Entanglement of low-energy excitations in Conformal Field Theory
In a quantum critical chain, the scaling regime of the energy and momentum of
the ground state and low lying excitations are described by conformal field
theory (CFT). The same holds true for the von Neumann and Renyi entropies of
the ground state, which display a universal logarithmic behaviour depending on
the central charge. In this letter we generalize this result to those excited
states of the chain that correspond to primary fields in CFT. It is shown that
the n-th Renyi entropy is related to a 2n-point correlator of primary fields.
We verify this statement for the critical XX and XXZ chains. This result
uncovers a new link between quantum information theory and CFT.Comment: 4 pages, 3 figure
Caffeoylquinic acids as inhibitors for HIV-I protease and HIV-I integrase: a molecular docking study
Caffeoylquinic acids are ubiquitous phenolic compounds with several health benefits to humans and they
have been shown to be promisinganti-HIV compounds. In this work, molecular docking was used to study
the inhibition of HIV-I integrase and protease using caffeoylquinic acids. It was possible to establish that the
naturally occurring caffeoylquinic acids are not suitable as inhibitors for protease but are very good
inhibitors for integrase. A new binding site was found for 3, 4-O-di-Caffeoylquinic acid between the chains of
HIV-I integrase that could possibly lead to a disruption of the catalytic process of HIV-I integrase.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio
Morfologia e distribuição dos sedimentos numa zona ripária reflorestada
Sediment distribution patterns of riparian zones reflect the deposition dynamics and the type of deposition event. The purpose of this study is to characterize the morphology and distribution of sediments deposited in a restored riparian forest that were transported from adjacent areas cropped with sugar-cane. In order to study the deposition processes in a riparian forest located in the county of Iracemápolis state of São Paulo, Brazil, soil samples were collected on a transect for micromorphological as well as particle size distribution analyses, using Folk & Ward statistical parameters. Soil samples were dispersed with NaOH + sodium hexametaphosphate and water. The dispersion in water was made to simulate field transport conditions. Particle size distributions together with field and laboratory morphological analyses showed an irregular and non-uniform sediment deposition. This deposition process suggests the occurrence of high intensity erosive events that produce high amount of sediments and runoff characterized by a turbulent flow. The land use change in the riparian area marks the change in the preferential deposition location, which when sugar-cane dominated, corresponded to the alluvial plain and, after the restoration and development of the riparian forest, was dislocated 27 m upslope within the first few meters from the border of the forest.O padrão de distribuição de sedimentos na zona ripária reflete a dinâmica da deposição e os prováveis processos ocorridos.
As técnicas estatísticas
Effect of land use changes in eastern amazonia on soil chemical, physical, and biological attributes
Land use change in rural settlements of the Amazon influences the abundance, diversity, and survival of soil fauna, especially earthworms, affecting the supply of ecosystem services. This study evaluated the effects of forest conversion to pasture on soil attributes and how the changes on the earthworm community affect soil porosity. Soil samples were collected from two toposequences (forest and pasture) at the summit (T1), midslope (T2) and footslope (T3) positions in July 2012 (dry season) and January and March 2013 (wet season). Samples were taken in five replicates at the depths of 0 to 10, 10 to 20, and 20 to 30 cm for determination of moisture, bulk density, total porosity, micromorphometry of pores, surface litter dry matter, chemical properties, and abundance and richness of earthworms. The numbers of macropores andmicropores and S index (S) were calculated. The change on land use increased soil organic matter, pH, and calcium and reduced dry matter, moisture, and S index in pasture, as well as the loss of earthworm morphospecies highly related to themaintenance and formation of soil macroporosity, especially large rounded pores and, secondarily, large complex pores. This resulted in a loss of soil physical quality.Fil: de Pierri Castilho, Selene Cristina. Universidade Do Estado de Mato Grosso (unemat);Fil: Cooper, Miguel.
