In this paper we present seven taxa of vascular plants with chorological interest collected in Spain and Portugal. Four of them are first provincial records and one is the second provincial record. Among them, Sideritis montana has been collected for the first time in Cádiz; this taxon had previously been found only in Cordoba of all Occidental Andalusia. The sheets that testified that are kept in the herbarium of Faculty of Biological Sciences of the University Complutense of Madrid (MACB). The register numbers of the sheets are included.En este trabajo se publican siete taxones de plantas vasculares recolectadas en España y Portugal cuyas citas tienen interés corológico. Entre ellos destaca Sideritis montana, citada en Andalucía occidental únicamente en la provincia de Córdoba y que ahora señalamos en Cádiz; otras tres son primeras citas provinciales y una es la segunda cita provincial. Plantas orientales de Edmond Boissier (1810-1885) en el Herbario del Real Colegio Alfonso XII de San Lorenzo de El Escorial, Madrid (España)

Presentamos dos colecciones de plantas con gran interés histórico que se encuentran en el herbario del Real Colegio Alfonso XII de San Lorenzo de El Escorial. Son parte de las exsiccata repartidas por Eugène Bourgeau con los nombres “Plantae Lyciae, 1860” y “Plantae Armeniacae, 1862” y han aparecido entre los materiales pertenecientes al herbario de Mariano de la Paz Graells. Su evidente interés histórico se acrecienta al contar con plantas que fueron utilizadas como materiales originales por Boissier para sus obras Flora Orientalis y Diagnosis plantarum orientalium novarum, y por De Candolle en el Prodromus. Tambien hay en estas colecciones plantas de especial interés, como material tipo de Ebenus bourgaei Boiss., Euphorbia armena Boiss. y Sideritis bourgaei Boiss., además de otras también valiosas como Campanuda denticulata Boiss. et Huet y Acantholimon armenum Boiss. et Huet, recolectadas por Alfred Huet de Pavillon en la localidad clásica.We present a brief description of two interesting set of plants deposited in the herbarium of the Real Colegio Alfonso XII of San Lorenzo de El Escorial. They are part of the exsiccata distributed by Eugène Bourgeau named “Plantae Lyciae, 1860” and “Plantae Armeniacae, 1862”. These plants were in the Mariano de la Paz Graell´s herbarium. The historical importance of these sheets is increased due to the fact as some of them were used by Boissier as reference plants in their classics Flora Orientalis and Diagnoses plantarum orientalium novarum and by De Candolle in the Prodromus, as clearly stated in that books. Furthermore, some of these sheets as Campanula denticulata Boiss. et Huet and Acantholimon armenum Boiss. et Huet, were collected by Alfred Huet du Pavillon in the loc. class., and three of the sheets are type material of Ebenus bourgaei Boiss., Sideritis bourgaei Boiss. and Euphorbia armena Boiss

Colecciones de Eugène Bourgeau (1813-1877) en el herbario del Real Colegio Alfonso XII de San Lorenzo de El Escorial, Madrid (España): la exsiccata “Plantes D’Espagne, 1850”

En este trabajo estudiamos la colección de las plantas que se conservan en el herbario del Real Colegio Alfonso XII de San Lorenzo de El Escorial, (Herbarium RCAXII), pertenecientes a la exsiccata que Eugène Bourgeau repartió bajo el nombre “Plantes D´Espagne, 1850”. Esta colección, además de su evidente interés histórico, tiene especial importancia dado que varios de los materiales fueron utilizados en la obra de Willkomm y Lange “Prodromus florae hispanicae” para establecer la distribución de las especies en España.In this paper the collection named “Plantes D´Espagne, 1850”, one of the exsiccata distributed by Eugène Bourgeau, at present kept in the herbarium of the Real Colegio Alfonso XII of San Lorenzo de El Escorial, (Herbarium RCAXII), has been studied. Presentamos la colección de plantas españolas procedentes de las herborizaciones de Eduardo Carreño que se encuentran en el herbario del Real Colegio Alfonso XII de San Lorenzo de El Escorial; todas ellas fueron recolectadas en España antes de su traslado a París en 1838. También incluímos un pliego de Festuca rubra Lag., que procede del herbario Lagasca y por tanto fue identificada por el autor del taxón. Esta colección, además de su interés histórico, tiene el valor añadido de ser las únicas plantas que se conservan de Carreño. Tambien se autentifica la letra de Eduardo Carreño y se dirime la cuestión de los destinatarios de su legado testamentario.We introduced a brief description of one set of plants found in the herbarium of the Real Colegio Alfonso XII of San Lorenzo de El Escorial. All of them were collected in Spain by Eduardo Carreño before moving to Paris in 1838. We also include one sheet of Festuca rubra Lag., belonging to Lagasca´s herbaria, therefore was named by its discoverer. Other than the historical importance of these sheets, these are the only preserved plants collected by Carreño in Spain, increasing its historical value. Furthermore, we authenticate the handwriting of Carreño and we annul the current beliefs of who the real beneficiary of his will were

En el herbario del Real Colegio Alfonso XII de San Lorenzo de El Escorial, están depositadas varias de las exsiccata repartidas por Eugène Bourgeau a lo largo de su vida. En este trabajo se presentan los materiales que se conservan de la colección que llamó «Plantes d´Espagne, 1849». Su interés histórico se acrecienta al contar con plantas utilizadas por Willkomm y Lange para establecer la distribución de las especies en la obra Prodromus florae hispanicae

Synthesis and NMR structure determination of new linear geranylphenols by direct geranylation of activated phenols.

Indexación: Web of Science; ScieloThe known geranylhydroquinone 2, geranylorcinol 4 and the derivative (E)-4-(3,7-dimethylocta-2,6-dienyl)-5-methylbenzene-1,3-diol 5, were prepared by Electrophilic Aromatic Substitution (EAS) reactions between the corresponding phenol derivatives containing electron-donor subtituents and geraniol using BF3XOEt2 as a catalyst. In addition, spectroscopic NMR information for 4 and 5 is complemented. Furthermore, the new (E)-2-(3,7-dimethylocta-2,6-dienyl) benzene-1,3,5-triol (geranylphloroglucinol) 13, (E)-2-(3,7-dimethylocta-2,6-dienyl)-1,3,5-trimethoxybenzene 14, (E)-2-(3,7-dimethylocta-2,6-dienyl)-6-methoxyphenol 15, (E)-3-(3,7-dimethylocta-2,6-dienyl)-2-methoxyphenol 16, (E)-5-(3,7-dimethylocta-2,6-dienyl)-2-methoxyphenol 17, (E)-4-(3,7-dimethylocta-2,6-dienyl)benzene-1,3-diol 18, (E)-3-(3,7-dimethylocta-2,6-dienyl)benzene-1,2-diol 19, (E)-4-(3,7-dimethylocta-2,6-dienyl)-5-isopropyl-2-methylphenol 20, (E)-2-(3,7-dimethylocta-2,6-dienyl)-4-isopropyl-3-methylphenol 21, (E)-2-(3,7-dimethylocta-2,6-dienyl)-4-isopropyl-5-methylphenol 22, and(E)-2-tert-butyl-4-(3,7-dimethylocta-2,6-dienyl)-5-methylphenol 23 were also prepared with this synthesis strategy. Más plantas interesantes de los volcanes de Ciudad Real (España)

En este trabajo damos noticia de 10 taxones recolectados sobre materiales volcánicos, que son novedades para el catálogo de la flora vascular de Ciudad Real, o están poco representados en la provincia. De ellos, Teucrium spinosum se cita por primera vez en Castilla-La Mancha. Ononis spinosa subsp. spinosa, Crepis foetida subsp. foetida y Senecio sylvaticus son primeras citas en Ciudad Real. Confirmamos la presencia en la provincia de Reichardia picroides, Schismus barbatus y Juncus striatus cuya única referencia hasta ahora era la antigua y poco precisa de Gandoger en Sierra Morena. Por último Scleranthus verticillatus, Vicia lutea subsp. vestita, y Aster squamatus son segundas citas provinciales. In this paper we present 10 taxa of vascular plants collected on volcanic soils in Ciudad Real province, Spain. Among them, Teucrium spinosum are the first record in Castilla-La Mancha, Ononis spinosa subsp. spinosa, Crepis foetida subsp. foetida and Senecio sylvaticus are the first provincial records and Scleranthus verticillatus, Vicia lutea subsp. Vestita and Aster squamatus are cited by the second time in Ciudad Real province. Also, we confirm the presence in this province of Reichardia picroides, Schismus barbatus and Juncus striatus, whose only previous reference, dated at the beguining of the last century, are the ancient and imprecise due to Gandoger from Sierra Morena.
