A one dimensional discrete approach for the determination of the cross sectional properties of composite rotor blades

This work presents the theoretical aspects of a one dimensional computational approach for the determination of the cross sectional stiffness of composite rotor blades. The method is based on a vector variant of the classical lamination theory embedded into a geometrically exact large deformation-small strain thin-walled beam formulation, which is naturally oriented to multibody problems. The procedures rely on a one-dimensional discretization of the aerodynamic profile of the blade; this generates groups of finite segments of composite laminates which are assembled to find the stiffness properties of the blade cross section. The formulation accounts for warping of the cross section and transverse shear; the warping problem is solved numerically by means of a one dimensional finite element formulation. Different people, different bodies: some examples from historical sources

El presente trabajo aborda la alteridad según el binomio griego/bárbaro a partir de los estudios de la medicina clásica sobre la naturaleza del hombre. Al respecto, los tratados hipocráticos nos ofrecen un punto de vista idóneo sobre la alteridad física que tuvo su repercusión en autores como Heródoto, Jenofonte y Aristóteles.This work deals with the otherness according to the dichotomy Greek/ Barbarian. The studies of classical medicine about the human nature are the starting point of this paper. The ‘Gold of the Ants’: Paradoxography and Geography in the Indian Lógos of Herodotus (HDT. III. 98-106)

En el presente trabajo abordamos la importancia del contacto entre Grecia y la India a finales de la época arcaica y principios de la clásica. A través de los fragmentos de Escílax de Carianda, Hecateo y la obra de Heródoto, mostraremos que la mentalidad griega generó dos versiones sobre la India: la geográfica/etnográfica y la paradoxográfica. La ausencia de un contacto directo y fluido entre Grecia y la India debió ser la causa de que esta división se mantuviera inalterada durante siglos en la cultura greco-romana.The aim of this paper is to analyse the contacts between Greece and India between the end of the Archaic period and the beginning of the Classical period. Through the careful reading and study of the extant fragments of the works of Scylax and Hecateus, and the books written by Herodotus, we can appreciate how India had two versions in the Greek mentality: the geographic and ethnographic one, and the paradoxographic one. The absence of a continuous, direct and fluid contact between India and Greece was surely the main cause why this division was unaltered for centuries in the Graeco-Roman Culture.La investigación se ha realizado en el marco proyecto HICOAN-2014SGR1111

Nuevamente de Heródoto a Tucídides

The aim of this paper is to underline the need to understand the essence of the works of Herodotus and Thucydides in order to reconstruct the history of classical Greece. From ancient ancient times there has been a debate around the primacy of one or another author, creating a situation that does not helo to a better understanding of history. This is why we propose a brief outline of the characteristics of each work in order to offer a basic historical framework that respects the information provided by the sources

Competencias en el día a día de una ETT

Treball Final de Màster Universitari en Psicologia del Treball, de les Organitzacions i en Recursos Humans. Codi: SAK034. Curs: 2014/2015El siguiente trabajo de fin de máster (TFM) corresponde al Máster en psicología del trabajo, de las organizaciones y de los recursos humanos que se imparte en la Universitat Jaume I de Castellón de la plana. El TFM incluye, en primer lugar, un breve resumen de aquellos aspectos que el estudiante responsable ha considerado más importantes de cada asignatura del máster. Posteriormente, se analizan y desarrollan las diferentes competencias, divididas en tres bloques (básicas, profesionales del rol profesional y facilitadoras) que el estudiante ha podido aplicar en sus prácticas externas, y valorando el nivel de las competencias antes y después del máster. A continuación, se realiza una valoración personal, en la que el estudiante hablará de los aspectos tanto positivos como negativos que se pueden mejorar respecto a las competencias. Por último, tendrá lugar una breve reflexión personal acerca de su futuro profesional, hablando de donde se ve y donde le gustaría trabajar de aquí a unos años, y sobre la posibilidad de utilizar los conocimientos aprendidos en el desarrollo de su carrera profesional.The next TFM belongs to the work, organisations and human resources psycology master of the University Jaume I in Castellon de la plana.
