    Ukrainian legislative framework of cross-border cooperation

    The author notes that in the past decade, Ukraine adopted a number of important legal documents aimed at strengthening its cross-border cooperation with neighboring countries-members and non-members of the European Union. The documents allow for a more practical needs of cross-border cooperation, but also contain a number of provisions that require further development and changes, especially under the influence of globalization processes in the world, the EU enlargement, changes in international politics.     An Investigation of Cylindrical Liner Z-pinches as Drivers for Converging Strong Shock Experiments

    A cylindrical liner z-pinch configuration has been used to drive converging radia- tive shock waves into different gases. Experiments were carried out on the MAGPIE (1.4 MA, 250 ns rise-time) pulsed-power device at Imperial College London [1]. On application of the current pulse, a series of cylindrical shocks moving at typical velocities of 20 km s-1 are consecutively launched from the inside liner wall into an initially static gas- ll. The drive current skin depth calculated prior to resis- tive heating was slightly less than the liner wall thickness and no bulk motion of the liner occurred. Axial laser probing images show the shock fronts to be smooth and azimuthally symmetric, with instabilities developing downstream of each shock. Evidence for a radiative precursor ahead of the first shock was seen in laser inter- ferometry imaging and time-gated spatially resolved optical spectroscopy. In addition to investigating the shock waves themselves, the timing of the shocks was used together with their trajectories to gain insight into launching mechanisms. This provided information on the response of the liner to the current pulse, which is useful for the benchmarking of magneto-hydrodynamics (MHD) codes. A new load voltage diagnostic provided evidence for two phase transitions occurring within the liner wall. The voltage probe was also fielded on various other z-pinch loads for measurements of energy deposition and inductance. The response of magnetically thick liners was found to differ significantly from the case where the liner wall was thin with respect to the initial skin depth of the current. In the later case the evolution of the liner is dominated by the ablation of plasma much like during the ablation phase of a wire array z-pinch

    Táto diplomová práca sa zaoberá technológiou Quantum Key Destribution (QKD) a simuláciou tejto technológie pomocou simulátora QKDNetSim. Teoretická časť práce obsahuje úvod do problematiky kvantovej distribúcie kľúčov, ktorá sa nespolieha na matematické problémy ako konvenčne používaná kryptografia ale na zákonitosti kvantovej mechaniky. Praktická časť práce popisuje rozšírenie simulátoru QKDNetSim o viaccestnú komunikáciu a následnú implementáciu. Záver práce sa venuje popisu a experimentálnemu overeniu viaccestnej komunikácie v simuláciách následne zhodnoteniu dosiahnutých výsledkov.This diploma thesis deals with Quantum Key Destruction (QKD) technology and the simulation of this technology using the QKDNetSim simulator. The theoretical part of the thesis contains an introduction to the issues of quantum key distribution, which does not rely on mathematical problems such as conventionally used cryptography but on the laws of quantum mechanics. The practical part of this thesis describes the extension of the QKDNetSim simulator by multipath communication and subsequent implementation.     Bakalárska práca sa zameriava na porovnávanie výsledkov získaných najjednoduchšou konštrukciou dvojramenného Mach-Zehnderova interferometru a konvenčne používanou seizmickou stanicou typu Gaia 2T (ViGeo2) v oblasti koľajovej dopravy. Seizmické stanice sa v koľajovej doprave používajú pre sledovanie vplyvu dopravy na okolité stavby a horninových masív, interferometrický senzor by mohol byť využitý ako lacnejšia alternatíva k seizmickej stanici. Cieľom tejto práce je popísať základne poznatky z oblasti vláknovej optiky a prakticky navrhnúť a zostrojiť funkčný vzor vybraného typu interferometrického senzoru založeného na fázovej modulácii svetla. V praktickej časti práce sú popísané prevedené porovnávacie merania realizované v rámci praktického merania v koľajovej doprave mesta Ostrava, kde základným výstupom je analýza zaznamenaných signálov v časovej a frekvenčnej doméne. Získané poznatky môžu slúžiť ako základ pre rozvoj využitia konceptu vláknovo optických senzorov pre seizmické aplikácie.Bachelor thesis focuses on the comparison of the results provided by the simplest construction of the two-armed Mach-Zehnder interferometer and a normally used seismic station type Gaia 2T (ViGeo2) in the field of rail transport. Seismic stations are used in the rail transport to monitor the influence of the traffic on the surrounding buildings and rock massif, interferometric sensor could be used as an inexpensive alternative to the seismic station. The aim of this thesis is to describe the basic knowledge from the field of fiber optics and, in practice, to design and construct a functioning sample of the chosen type of interferometric sensor based on phase modulation of light. In the practical part of the thesis are described performed comparative measurements realized as a part of the practical measurements of the rail transport in the town Ostrava and the fundamental output is an analysis of recorded signals in the time and frequency domain.     The thesis The Issues of Translation of Realia and Language Phenomena of Oleksiy Chupa's Novel "Fairy tales from my bomb shelter" focuses on the analysis of translation problems and realia of Donbass in the novel by contemporary Ukrainian writer Oleksiy Chupa. This work is specific in its mapping the mental image of contemporary Donbas and its large amount of realia, slang, colloquial expressions, and surzhyk. The first part of the thesis is devoted to an overview of the development of the image of Donbas in Ukrainian literature, in particular, on the example of several contemporary authors; the second part focuses on the selection of translation theories, theoretical and practical methods for the translation of linguistic phenomena occurring in the work under study. Practical examples from the text of the work with possible translation solutions are also presented. The aim of the thesis is to determine the functionality of theoretical translation procedures in the translation of a particular literary work.
