A biplex approach to PageRank centrality: from classic to multiplex networks
In this paper, we present a new view of the PageRank algorithm inspired by multiplex networks. This new approach allows to introduce a new centrality measure for classic complex networks and a new proposal to extend the usual PageRank algorithm to multiplex networks. We give some analytical relations between these new approaches and the classic PageRank centrality measure, and we illustrate the new parameters presented by computing them on real underground networks. © 2016 Author(s).This work has been partially supported by the project MTM2014-59906 (Spanish Ministry) and the Grant URJC-Grupo de Excelencia Investigadora GARECOM (2014-2016).Pedroche Sánchez, F.; Romance, M.; Criado Herrero, R. Level IV fugacity model by a continuous time control system.
A continuos time dynamic control system of the "Level IV Fugacity Model" is presented and applied to selected organic chemicals in evaluative environments system. In order to illustrate the numerical solution by this model a discretization is used to calculate the fugacity, concentration and fugacity settling time for a set of three insecticides applied in a hypothetical three compartmental environmental system. The model employs the fugacity concept and treats three bulk compartments: air, water and bottom sediment. Input to the model consists of a description of the environmental, the physical-chemical and reaction properties of the chemical, and emission rates. Expressions in matrix form are included for emissions, advections, reactions, and inter-phase transference. An algorithm to determine the values of the fugacities, concentrations and fugacity settling time is given
Trajectory Tracking Control of a Timed Event Graph with Specifications Defined by a P-time Event Graph
The aim of this paper is a trajectory tracking control of Timed Event Graphs with specifications defined by a P-time Event Graph. Two problems are solved on a fixed horizon knowing the current state: The optimal control for favorable past evolution; The prediction of the earliest future evolution of the process. These two parts make up an on-line control which is used on a sliding horizon. Completely defined in (max, +) algebra, the proposed approach is a Model Predictive Control using the componentwise order relation
A parallel algorithm for the partial single-input pole assignment problem
AbstractFor a linear control system, we introduce a parallel algorithm to assign a desired subset of eigenvalues to a single-input linear invariant dynamic system. We obtain a sequential algorithm as a particular case. The proposed algorithms are conceptually simple and are based on the computation of left eigenvectors of the state matrix. In addition, the parallel algorithm parallelizes easily as the numerical examples show

The principle of beam lines composed of sections with separated functions was adopted. The main technological characteristics of the equipments (guiding system, buncher, stripper, beam diagnostics and pumping system) are given
Mott transition in lattice boson models
We use mathematically rigorous perturbation theory to study the transition
between the Mott insulator and the conjectured Bose-Einstein condensate in a
hard-core Bose-Hubbard model. The critical line is established to lowest order
in the tunneling amplitude.Comment: 20 page
CINÉTICA DE HIDROXILACIÓN Y OXIDACIÓN DE COMPUESTOS FENÓLICOS POR POLIFENOL OXIDASA DE UVA MONASTRELL (VITIS VINIFERA)
Monastrell grape polyphenol oxidase was purified, showing both activity towards monophenols and o-diphenols. The kinetic parameters, Km and optimal temperature, were evaluated in both activities. Cresolase activity presents a particular lag period, which may be modified by the temperature, enzyme concentration, the presence of o-diphenols and substrate concentration.
Classes of general H-matrices
Abstract Let M(A) denote the comparison matrix of a square H-matrix A, that is, M(A) is an M -matrix. H-matrices such that their comparison matrices are nonsingular are well studied in the literature. In this paper, we study characterizations of H-matrices with either singular or nonsingular comparison matrices. The spectral radius of the Jacobi matrix of M(A) and the generalized diagonal dominance property are used in the characterizations. Finally, a classification of the set of general H-matrices is obtained
Unsteady state fugacity model by a dynamic control system.
A continuous time dynamic system of an unsteady state fugacity model is presented. Properties of this model as stability are studied. In order to evaluate numerical results a discretization preserving the stability and yielding the positivity property of the model is used. Finally, algorithms to determine the values of the fugacities, the concentrations and the dissipation time are given. The above study is illustrated with numerical results in a theree compartmental environmental system
