    Pion-proton scattering and isospin breaking in the Δ0−Δ++\Delta^0-\Delta^{++} system

    We determine the mass and width of the Δ++ (Δ0)\Delta^{++}\ (\Delta^0) resonance from data on π+p (π−p)\pi^+ p\ (\pi^- p) scattering both, in the pole of the SS-matrix and conventional Breit-Wigner approaches to the scattering amplitude. We provide a simple formula that relates the two definitions for the parameters of the Δ\Delta. Isospin symmetry breaking in the \d0-\dm system depends on the definition of the resonant properties: we find M0−M++=0.40±0.57 MeV, Γ0−Γ++=6.89±0.95 MeVM_0-M_{++} = 0.40 \pm 0.57\ {\rm MeV},\ \Gamma_0 -\Gamma_{++} = 6.89 \pm 0.95\ {\rm MeV} in the pole approach while $\wt{M}_0-\wt{M}_{++} = 2.25 \pm 0.68\ {\rm MeV},\ \wt{\Gamma}_0 - \wt{\Gamma}_{++} = 8.45 \pm 1.11\ {\rm MeV}$ in the conventional approach.Comment: Latex, 23 pages, two figures upon reques

    Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk menguji dan menganalisis pengaruh akuntabilitas, transparansi, pengawasan dan pengelolaan keuangan terhadap kinerja keuangan pada Satuan Kerja Perangkat Daerah di Kabupaten Bojonegoro. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Data yang digunakan adalah data primer yang diperoleh melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada responden. Jumlah responden dalam penelitian ini yaitu sebanyak 60 responden yang didapat dari 22 dinas Satuan Kerja Perangkat Daerah Kabupaten Bojonegoro. Variabel bebas yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Akuntabilitas, Transparansi, Pengawasan, Pengelolaan Keuangan dan variabel terikatnya adalah Kinerja Keuangan. Pengujian instrumen menggunakan Uji Validitas dan Uji Reliabilitas. Metode analisis menggunakan analisis regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian ini menujukkan bahwa akuntabilitas berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kinerja keuangan, transparansi berpengaruh positif tidak signifikan terhadap kinerja keuangan, pengawasan berpengaruh positif tidak signifikan terhadap kinerja keuangan dan pengelolaan keuangan berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kinerja keuangan

    Motivation plays an important role for students, low motivation can occur when someone feels there is a discrepancy between what they want and what they achieve. This study aims to determine the relationship between anxiety and motivation in students of SMK Negeri X in Kendal Regency. This study used a quantitative method with 2 scales, namely: the DASS-42 scale to measure anxiety, and the AMS scale to measure motivation. Sampling used saturated sampling, that is, all members of the population were used as samples with a total of 1270 respondents. The technique in this study was the pearson product moment using SPSS 21 for Windows software. The results showed a significance of p = 0.030 (p <0.05) with a correlation value of -0.061. The sign on the negative value of the correlation means that there is a negative relationship between the anxiety variable and the motivation variable. The anxiety variable has an effective contribution value of 0.4% to the motivational variable. This means that the effect of the anxiety variable on the motivational variable is low, but the relationship between the anxiety variable and the motivational variable is proven to be significant and has a negative impact

    On the Mass and Width of the Z-boson and Other Relativistic Quasistable Particles

    The ambiguity in the definition for the mass and width of relativistic resonances is discussed, in particular for the case of the Z-boson. This ambiguity can be removed by requiring that a resonance's width Γ\Gamma (defined by a Breit-Wigner lineshape) and lifetime τ\tau (defined by the exponential law) always and exactly fulfill the relation Γ=ℏ/τ\Gamma = \hbar/\tau. To justify this one needs relativistic Gamow vectors which in turn define the resonance's mass M_R as the real part of the square root ResR\rm{Re}\sqrt{s_R} of the S-matrix pole position s_R. For the Z-boson this means that MR≈MZ−26MeVM_R \approx M_Z - 26{MeV} and ΓR≈ΓZ−1.2MeV\Gamma_R \approx \Gamma_Z-1.2{MeV} where M_Z and ΓZ\Gamma_Z are the values reported in the particle data tables.Comment: 23 page

    The notion that elementary systems correspond to irreducible representations of the Poincare group is the starting point for this paper, which then goes on to discuss how a semigroup for the time evolution of unstable states and resonances could emerge from the underlying Poincare symmetry.     MENEMUKAN KEBAHAGIAAN DALAM EMOSI NEGATIF : TES EKSPERIMENTAL DARI PARADIGMA EXPRESSIVE WRITING

    This study explored how to find happiness in negative emotions using expressive writing method. The method used in this study was an experimental design involving 19 students of Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta State Islamic University from various faculties. This experiment lasted four days, the experimenters gave five scales and one pre-test on the first day, then the subjects were instructed to write their biggest problem and emotional dynamics for four consecutive days. Based on the results of statistical analysis with the Spearman-Rho test technique, it showed Ha was rejected because of p> 0.05 with negative transitions of 0.529 and 0.668 for happiness. Keywords : negative emotions, happiness and expressive writing ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana seseorang menemukan kebahagiaan dalam emosi negatif, yang dilakukan menggunakan metode expressive writing. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimen yang melibatkan 19 mahasiswa UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta dari berbagai fakultas. Eksperimen ini berlangsung selama empat hari berturut-turut. Prosedur yang digunakan adalah dengan memberikan lima buah skala dan satu self-scaling (pre-test) pada hari pertama, kemudian subjek diminta untuk menuliskan permasalahan terbesarnya dan dinamika emosinya selama empat hari berturut-turut, lalu pada hari keempat subjek kembali diberikan skala yang sama dengan hari pertama sebagai post-test. Berdasarkan hasil analisis statistika dengan uji teknik Spearman-Rho tersebut menunjukkan bahwa Ha ditolak karena p > 0.05 dengan emosi negatif sebesar 0.529 dan 0.668 untuk kebahagiaan.     S-matrix approach to two-pion production in e^+e^- annihilation and tau decay

    Based on the S-matrix approach, we introduce a modified formula for the π±\pi^{\pm} electromagnetic form factor which describes very well the experimental data in the energy region 2mπ≀s≀1.12m_{\pi} \leq \sqrt{s} \leq 1.1 GeV. Using the CVC hypothesis we predict B(\tpp) = (24.75 \pm 0.38)\% , in excellent agreement with recent experiments.Comment: Latex, 10 pages, submitted to Phys. Rev.

    Delta-excitations and the three-nucleon force

    We study the three-nucleon force in chiral effective field theory with explicit Delta-resonance degrees of freedom. We show that up to next-to-next-to-leading order, the only contribution to the isospin symmetric three-nucleon force involving the spin-3/2 degrees of freedom is given by the two-pion-exchange diagram with an intermediate delta, frequently called the Fujita-Miyazawa force. We also analyze the leading isospin-breaking corrections due to the delta. For that, we give the first analysis of the delta quartet mass splittings in chiral effective field theory.     Gauge invariance and finite width effects in radiative two-pion tau lepton decay

    The contribution of the rho^{\pm} vector meson to the tau -> pi pi nu gamma decay is considered as a potential source for the determination of the magnetic dipole moment of this light vector meson. In order to keep gauge-invariance of the whole decay amplitude, a procedure similar to the fermion loop-scheme for charged gauge bosons is implemented to incorporate the finite width effects of the rho^{\pm} vector meson. The absorptive pieces of the one-loop corrections to the propagators and electromagnetic vertices of the rho^{\pm} meson and W^{\pm} gauge boson have identical forms in the limit of massless particles in the loops, suggesting this to be a universal feature of spin-one unstable particles. Model-dependent contributions to the tau -> pi pi nu gamma decay are suppressed by fixing the two-pion invariant mass distribution at the rho meson mass value. The resulting photon energy and angular distribution is relatively sensitive to the effects of the rho magnetic dipole moment.Comment: 22 pages, 4 postscript figures, references and comments on relevance of perturbative treatment of rho electromagnetic vertex are added, accepted for pub. in Phys.     Delta isobar masses, large N_c relations, and the quark model

    Motivated by recent remarks on the Delta+ mass and comparisons between the quark model and relations based on large-N_c with perturbative flavor breaking, two sets of Delta masses consistent with these constraints are constructed. These two sets, based either on an experimentally determined mass splitting or a quark model of isospin symmetry breaking, are shown to be inconsistent. The model dependence of this inconsistency is examined, and suggestions for improved experiments are made. An explicit quark model calculation and mass relations based on the large-N_c limit with perturbative flavor breaking are compared. The expected level of accuracy of such relations is realized in the quark model, except for mass relations spanning more than one SU(6) representation. It is shown that the Delta0 and Delta++ pole masses and Delta0 - Delta+ = (Delta- - Delta++)/3 about 1.5 MeV are more consistent with model expectations than the analogous Breit-Wigner masses and their splittings.Comment: 10 pages, including 1 eps figure, revte
