    Get PDF
The work is devoted to the possibility and prospects of the use of all-wheels drive articulated transport systems in the mining complex. A comparative analysis of the traditional methods of exporting minerals in open pit mining and the method of using active trailed elements are given. The trailer has a load factor several times higher than the same rate for mining dump trucks. The use of an active trailer makes it possible to reduce the mass of the tractor and trailer by almost 40 tons and increase the specific power of the road train. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd

The issue of operated-off alkaline nickel-cadmium batteries recycling is currently relevant due to a number of aspects: economic, environmental and social. It is most acute across the national corporation JSC Russian Railways. The article deals with some technological features of operated-off alkaline nickel-cadmium batteries recycling with valuable components being extracted (from the example of nickel-cadmium storage batteries of JSC ”RZD” rolling equipment). The results of leaching in Trilon B synthetic oxides solution, the presence of which is possible in the raw material being processed, are presented in the study. Based on the study of leaching processes of CdO, NiO, FeO, Femet and Fe2O3 in Trilon B solution, the dependence of complexing on the pH of the solution was revealed. The experimental site of the hydrometallurgical processing of the research center (OCGP IC) in the GMO KhMC PJSC ”Uralelectromed” was selected as the testing one for the technology proposed. As a raw material for the tests, a lot of negative lamellae packed in alkaline storage batteries of two different types were used. They were obtained as a result of preliminary drying and cutting at OOO Kursk factory ”Accumulator”. The particle size is 90% - 0.1 mm. The results obtained during the research allowed the author to formulate a hypothesis about the practical use of Trilon B for the processing of operated-off alkaline nickel-cadmium batteries with the extraction of valuable components having greater economic, environmental and social benefits compared to methods based on pyro metallurgy. Keywords: nickel-cadmium batteries, recycling, Trilon B, Russian Railways, hydrometallurgica

Using the simulation modeling with stochastic estimation of trafficability of forest transport systems

Forecasting trafficability of logging and forest transport systems on the ground, which have a multi-sectional layout solution is considered in the paper. Trafficability problems are evaluated from the point of view of the stochastic character of indicators of traction properties - the forces of resistance to movement and the adhesion force of the driving wheels with the supporting surface. With the stochastic estimation of trafficability the law of Gaussian distribution for random values of the rolling resistance coefficient and the two-parameter Weibull distribution law with a negative asymmetry coefficient or values of the shape parameter greater than 4 for the cohesion coefficient was adopted. A stochastic approach to the evaluation of trafficability allows to ensure a rational distribution of the power flows between propulsors of the transport-technological system, which is shown in this paper. © 2019 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd

Dynamic behaviour of strongly nonlinear non-smooth discontinuous vibroimpact system isstudied. Under variation of system parameters we find the disconti nuousbi furcati onsthat are the dangerousones. It is phenomenon unique to non-smooth systems with discontinuous right-hand side. We investigate the 2-DOF vibroimpact system by numerical parameter continuation method in conjunction with shooting and Newton-Raphson methods, Wife simulate the impact by nonlinear contact interactive force according to Hertz's contact law. We find the discontinuous bifurcations by Floquet multipliers values. At such points set-valued Floquet multipliers cross the unit circle by jump that istheir moduli becoming more than unit by jump. Wealso learn the bifurcation picture change when the impact between system bodi es became the soft one due the change of system parameters, This paper is the continuation of the previous works

Method of induction control of iron weight fraction in magnetite ore

    Get PDF
This paper analyzes the peculiarities of existing methods and means of induction control of magnetic susceptibility of the medium are analyzed. It is concluded that these means have a common drawback due to the low measurement accuracy caused by the wave-like dependence of the instrument sensitivity on the gap between the probe and the medium surface. The ways of increasing the instrument sensitivity and measurement accuracy of controlled parameters by means of inductive measuring transducers are revealed. A method for induction resonance control of iron weight fraction in magnetite ore has been developed, and its effectiveness has been estimated using simulation modeling. Practical recommendations for the development of quality control instruments for magnetite ores have been developed. A variant of the quality control unit layout for working with magnetite ores is proposed

Techniques of continual fracture process modelling of complex shape circular and prismatic bodies under elastic high-cycle deformation and in condition of creep under prolonged static load is presented in this paper. The semianalytic finite element method (SFEM) to determine the stress-strain state is used. SFEM involves the application of finite element mesh in the cross section of the body, and using one finite element in the direction of straight or curved creating, which provides significantly lower computational cost for three- dimensional problems solving. The Kachanov-Rabotnov’s scalar damage parameter to describe the continual fracture of the material and the degree dependence of the damage parameter accumulation rate of on the stress state parameters are used. Stepping algorithms for the stress-strain state and damage parameter determining for considered deformation process have been developed. The algorithm of simulation of evolutionary processes of macroscopic defects (continual fracture zone) growth after local loss of material bearing capacity because of damage parameter’s critical value has been obtained. A solution of practical problems of determining of the calculated lifetime (to local loss of material bearing capacity) and the additional lifetime (time of continual fracture zone growth) for high pressure connecting pipe and the gas turbine blade has been presented. It is shown, that for the connecting pipe which represents thick-wall rotation body, lifetime is not limited to local loss of material bearing capacity and can be significantly extended by additional lifetime. At the same time for the blade under creep condition lifetime is completely determined by the local loss of material bearing capacity, because the value of additional lifetime is related to the continual fracture zone growth of only about 5% of the calculated lifetime

    – The article presents the author's methodology for the formation of a key indicator system for the evaluation of the ecological and economic potential of the metallurgical cluster. This being the case, special attention was paid to the development of an indicator system for evaluating the second-level potentials uniting the environmental and economic components of the integrated study subject. The study aims to develop a comprehensive methodology for evaluating the ecological and economic potential adapted to unique features of the metallurgical cluster of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In preparing the material, the authors used comparative analysis and integral economic and statistical indicator building methods. Individual assessments of the first and second tiers were integrated by calculating criterion integrated indicators. The study concluded that a balanced evaluation of the ecological and economic potential of the metallurgical cluster can be obtained by integrating estimates of second-tier potentials representing the joint influence of a group of enterprises in the metallurgical industrial cluster. The provisions and conclusions of the described paper can be applied by the management of iron and steel companies to justify corporate development programmes, as well as regional authorities to identify areas of investment attractiveness growth of the region. The empirical basis of the analysis was obtained from the results of studies carried out as part of the research work "Improvement of the state policy regulation for accelerated clustering of the industrial regions", executed under grant financing of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. ©2020 Irina Turgel, Larissa Bozhko, Oleg Bazhenov
