Audiovisual ao vivo: Feedbacks entre os cinemas experimentais, as artes do vídeo e o audiovisual contemporâneo

Conceitos como montagem ou plano são centrais na linguagem audiovisual. Mesmo com mudanças periódicas no processo de produção dos formatos resultantes de articulações entre imagem em movimento e som, são conceitos que persistem. Em certos momentos (por exemplo, o surgimento das ilhas eletrônicas e das artes do vídeo), o estatuto da linguagem audiovisual é questionado, seus conceitos centrais colocados na berlinda. Em geral, as diferenças passam a ser percebidas como novas possibilidades. Pesquisas recentes buscam reler as histórias do audiovisual em função desta diversidade, que dificulta sustentar campos estáveis e padrões fixos, ainda mais em um momento em que novos dispositivos mudam de forma significativa as formas de fruição. Este artigo articula estes desdobramentos com o pensamento de autores que formularam maneiras outras de refletir sobre o audiovisual (seja  mudando os modelos de pensamento vigentes ou respondendo a ciclos tecnológicos reorganizadores das linguagens em uso)

The article discusses the way in which scientific knowledge has lost importance in the context of fake news that takes over contemporary processes of mediation in network. There is a questioning about the extent to which the processes of numbing by the excess of information can be responsible for the alienation of the user, resulting in the anesthesia of his critical sense. This debate takes into account examples of confusion between fiction and reality in the history of media, such as the escape from the cinema room when the train approaches the foreground in the first Lumière projections, the transmission of War of the Worlds on CBS and the confusion between the chatterbot Eliza and a real person.El artículo analiza la forma en que el conocimiento científico ha perdido importancia en el contexto de las fake news que se apoderan de los procesos contemporáneos de mediación en red. Se cuestiona hasta qué punto los procesos de adormecimiento por el exceso de información pueden ser responsables de la alienación del usuario, dando lugar a la anestesia de su sentido crítico. Este debate tiene en cuenta ejemplos de confusión entre la ficción y la realidad en la historia de los medios de comunicación, como la huida de la sala de cine cuando el tren se acerca al primer plano en las primeras proyecciones de los Lumière, la transmisión de La guerra de los Mundos en la CBS y la confusión entre la chatterbot Eliza y una persona real.O artigo debate a forma como o saber científico perdeu importância no contexto de notícias falsas que toma conta dos processos contemporâneos de mediação em rede. Treatment of chronic periodontitis decreases serum prohepcidin levels in patients with chronic kidney disease

OBJECTIVE: To determine the impact of periodontal treatment on serum levels of prohepcidin (the prohormone of hepcidin) and systemic inflammation markers, as well as correlations among these markers, in patients with chronic periodontitis and chronic kidney disease who were not undergoing dialysis. METHODS: We included 56 chronic periodontitis patients, 36 with chronic kidney disease and 20 without systemic diseases and with normal renal function (control group). Chronic kidney disease was defined as suggested by the clinical practice guidelines in the National Kidney Foundation. Chronic periodontitis was defined through clinical attachment level and by probing pocket depth, according to the American Association of Periodontology. The inflammatory markers ultrasensitive C-reactive protein, interleukin-6, and prohepcidin were evaluated before and 3 months after periodontal treatment. RESULTS: The efficacy of periodontal treatment was confirmed by the improvement in clinical parameters of chronic periodontitis in the control and chronic kidney disease groups. Periodontal treatment resulted in significant reductions in ultrasensitive C-reactive protein, interleukin-6 and serum prohepcidin levels in both groups. Moreover, in multivariate linear regression, the reduction in prohepcidin after periodontal treatment was significantly and independently associated with interleukin-6 levels in the control group. CONCLUSIONS: By inducing a decline in the systemic inflammatory response and a decrease in serum prohepcidin, successful periodontal treatment may represent an important means of ameliorating the inflammatory burden seen in patients with chronic kidney disease
