From a collegially elected council to a director: the evolution of Portuguese school management
School management in Portugal has been a singular case in the European context for over 30 years. A recent legislation implied great changes in the collegial nature of educational management in Portugal. These changes brought Portuguese school management closer to other European countries’ models, especially because the collegial and elected nature of management was lost. In order to understand this context, we shall present a brief history of the Portuguese school management in the last 35 years and the changes it has suffered in attempts from several governments to move towards international policies and trends in educational management
Linguistic studies (Barbosa, 1965 and 1994; Gonçalves, 2008; Martinet, 1985) suggest
that the spoken speech in the north of mainland Portugal shows a particular phonetic
variation characterized by the dominance of the variant [a] in all contexts in which the
vowel occurs in stressed and open syllable. In view of this theoretical assumption, this
paper reports the results of an acoustic study aimed at examining the phonetic realizations
of vowel /a/ and identify which of the variants ([a] or [ɐ]) characterizes the speech
of the city of Braga. To test the hypothesis on the predominant occurrence of the open
vowel ([a]) in this city, the realizations of the target vowel (/a/) adjacent to nasal and oral
consonants were acoustically analyzed in terms of the spectral quality by measuring the
frequencies of the first two formants (F1 and F2). Furthermore, given that level of education
is likely to be a determining factor in the phonetic realization of vowel /a/ (Rodrigues,
2003; Votre, 2004), we analyzed the speech production of two groups of informants with
different levels of education (basic education and higher education). Our results show
that in Braga’s speech the production of vowel [a] tends to occur in all studied contexts
and that level of education had no effect on the productions of /a/ since the two groups of
informants with different levels of schooling tended to show similar formant configurations
in the production of [a] and [ɐ]. Finally, our results suggest that the phonetic variant
that characterizes Braga’s speech is in fact the open vowel [a]
responsabilidade social e o Marketing. A metodologia adotada possui caráter bibliográfico. A
terceiro setor possuem o fim social. E baseadas neste fim lucrativo , as empresas têm
Devido à particularidade do digital, onde
In today's context where new information technologies are increasingly powerful,
communication companies are constantly changing along with the social sphere. The evolution of
the web world and the new ways of digital communication (computer, smartphone, etc.) held an
important role in the emergence of new concepts such as cyber culture, cyberspace and virtual
communities. These concepts would change the process of online communication and contribute
to a new social and cultural landscape.
Through my learning process of Communication Science, Public Relations and Publicity in
particular, I chose to upgrade my knowledge in Digital Marketing, as the strategic communication
has an extremely useful role when it comes to digital communication. Knowing that when working
with the digital there is no physical contact, it is very important to learn how the company
presents itself at both verbal and visual levels, besides the structure and development of their
contents.
This is a demanding field since you need well-defined strategic capabilities to create good
Digital (or online) Marketing. Your main goal is defining a strategic communication that will work
as whole in terms of strategy, as well as the planning of goals, feedback and interaction obtained
by the target audience. When combined with digital communication, it is necessary to deepen its
relevance in order to achieve communication goals and obtain valid results for a communication
to be conducted successfully between an institution / company / brand and its users. Discarding
any physical environment, widely used by Traditional Marketing, a purely digital communication
becomes a consequence of an increasingly digitized society. Companies or businesses with no
online presence might, soon enough, disappear. The adaptation of marketing becomes a direct
consequence of this social/digital panorama so that our online content works as an extension of
ourselves.
Given these social, cultural and economic changes, Digital Marketing had to evolve in both
personal and spiritual aspects in order to reach certain consumers thus the emerging concept of
Digital Marketing 3.0. This latest concept would change and open other doors for the way a
brand, company or organization builts its communication strategy as well as the way of formal
and informal interaction with your target audience or consumer. In this universe of more personal
and consumer-focused Marketing, several crucial points complement the importance it has for
today’s businesses if they are to achieve success among the vast and aggressive competition.
Crucial factors such as the production and management of digital content, managing web sites, social networking acquisition and management and search engine optimization have become a
key to successful forms of communication between the company and the consumer. Its viability
and knowledge among the target audience is growing, not forgetting the differentiating factor
between competition in the digital world where it is becoming more aggressive and competitive.
To better understand these concepts, as well as the importance they have for corporate
communication today, I chose to make my traineeship in a company that specializes in Digital
Marketing. During this internship I encountered certain difficulties and challenges, only to
conclude that they became a vital source of learning and maturing, both in a professional and
personal way. In this internship report, I intend to articulate Digital Marketing in strategic
communication and how they complement each other, beyond explanation and differentiation of
Digital Marketing with Traditional Marketing.
Also as a decisive factor for success of any strategic online communication, I will address
the importance of management and production of embedded digital content in the thematic of
Digital Marketing in strategic communication. Because of my internship experience, I will discuss
the relevance of good management and production of digital content for the success of an
enterprise digital level and how these are included in Digital Marketing

Life (OHRQoL) is a multidimensional construction that combines traditional clinical indicators, such as the DMF (Decay, missing, filled teeth) Index, with subjective indicators, such as pain, functional, psychological and social, playing a crucial role in the therapeutic approach and in promotion and prevention of oral health.
Objective: The aim of this study is know the OHRQoL, to assess the prevalence and severity of Early Childhood Caries (ECC) and associated factors in a preschool population from the parish of Alvalade.
Material and Methods: A cross-sectional study was carried out, in which a questionnaire regarding behaviors related to oral health was applied to parents/caregivers. An intraoral observation was also carried out by properly calibrated observers. For the diagnosis of dental caries, the criteria of the DMF Index were used, whereas for the study of the OHRQoL, the ECOHIS instrument (Early Childhood Oral Health Quality of Life). For the statistical analysis, the Chi-square, the Mann-Whitney and the Kruskall-Wallis tests were used (α=0,05%).
Results: Overall, the sample consisted of 56 children, with an average age of 3.91 years (sd=0,75). The global score of ECOHIS was 3.0(sd=2,8). The prevalence of ECC was 22,8% and the mean DMF was 0,67 (sd=1,7). The only factor with a significant association with OHRQoL was the child’s age and at the level of the family section of ECOHIS. The main factors associated with ECC were age, use of fluoride toothpaste, daily help in brushing teeth, beginning of brushing before the first year of life and the kindergarten attended.
Conclusion: Although the sample analyzed presented a good OHRQoL and low prevalence of ECC, it would be important to reinforce healthy oral health behaviors, such as, the behavioral factors that were found to be associated with ECC

This research has as main objective to increase knowledge of the Academy relatively to the factors influencing the psychological capital of workers, working as an important tool of action for organizations.
