Els concerts històrics de Carles G. Vidiella

Carles Gumersind Vidiella (1856-1915) es uno de los pianistas catalanes más destacados de su época; su formación se inició en Barcelona con Joan Baptista Pujol y se amplió en París en 1878, con A. F. Marmontel. Vidiella depuró el gusto pianístico, para alejarse del repertorio habitual de carácter salonnier y de las fantasías operísticas e introducir las grandes obras del romanticismo. Ello comportaba también el «concierto histórico», muestra de la incorporación de obras del pasado en la contemporaneidad, que Marmontel cultivó entre sus discípulos y que Vidiella hizo fructificar con excelencia. The Influence of oral environment on diet choices in goats: a focus on saliva protein composition

There is ample evidence that ruminants are capable of making choices between different foods that provide a more balanced diet that would be obtained by eating at random. In the particular case of goats, they occupy a diversity of habitats and different breeds present variability of feeding behaviors resultant from adaptations to the existent plant species. In their food search activity, individuals are faced with variable amounts of plant secondary metabolites (PSMs), which may present some toxic and anti-nutritional effects depending on the individual’s ability to deal with it. The oral cavity has a key role in the recognition and decision processes of ingestion or rejection. In this chapter we will first consider how goats identify foods and behave according to the food items available. Focus will be done on the importance of taste sense in this process and the information available on the main structures involved in taste detection and perception in goats will be reviewed. In a second section we will focus on the characteristics of goat’s saliva, particularly in terms of their protein composition, presenting results obtained by our research team

Some regard ecclesiastical properties. The title page (f. i recto) contains a later list of revised deeds, organized by year and page number, dated 1656. Divided into sections based on date, from 1552 to 1569. Most of the interactions and goods described are located near or in Florence. Many concern Giovanni Baptista Detti, Camillo de\u27 Medici, Francisco from the ship Decumano, and a Bartolomeo. Many of the properties have been entrusted to Carlo de\u27 Medici, who then rented them out. Details included about the various properties regard crops, houses, the kinds of trees on a property, barrels for wine, and so on. Last quire is detached from the rest of the codex. Contains marginal notes, mostly in Italian summarizing the Latin text, throughout, as well as a few notarial signets. Simpósio "Agricultura, Energia e Ambiente"

O crescimento populacional esperado para os próximos anos conduzirá à necessidade de aumentar a produção agrícola de modo a satisfazer o aumento da procura. Nos últimos anos tem-se assistido a uma evolução tecnológica nos sistemas de produção que tem permitido aumentar a produtividade agrícola, mas por vezes à custa de elevados consumos de energia e com práticas nem sempre ambientalmente corretas. Os desafios que se colocam atualmente são no sentido de melhorar a conservação de recursos escassos, como o solo e a água, de aumentar a eficiência de uso de factores de produção, de encontrar novas culturas, do desenvolvimento da biotecnologia, da diminuição dos consumos energéticos e de melhorar ainda mais as tecnologias associadas à produção. A intensificação dos sistemas de produção para responder à procura, a necessidade de encontrar fontes alternativas de energia, com a competição entre a produção de culturas para biocombustíveis ou alimentos, a necessidade de diminuir desperdícios, de reaproveitar a água usada, mas não consumida na produção agrícola, ou águas residuais tratadas, e tornar a agricultura uma prática compatível com a manutenção de uma biodiversidade ambiental, são questões que têm de ser pensadas e discutidas por todos nós. Deste modo, a Secção Especializada de Engenharia Rural (SEER), da Sociedade de Ciências Agrárias de Portugal, e o Instituto de Ciências Agrárias e Ambientais Mediterrânicas decidiram organizar o Simpósio “Agricultura, Energia e Ambiente”, onde pretendemos que investigadores, técnicos, produtores, e todas as pessoas interessadas nestes temas, os possam discutir
