    Los presupuestos del estado en la provincia de Buenos Aires para afrontar las inundaciones de los campos, 1910-1930

    Nos proponemos estudiar la participación de la agencia estatal en el presupuesto provincial puesto que indica la inversión pública y ponderar el aporte privado toda vez que se compelía a los propietarios a pagar un impuesto especial. Nuestro período se extiende desde 1910 pues en esta década se cierra un primer ciclo de intervenciones estatales en la cuestión de las inundaciones y 1930 en que empieza un ciclo más seco y los problemas en los métodos de desagüe se postergan (Zarrilli, 1997; Taboada, et. al., 2009 y Skansi, et. al. 2012). Enfocaremos el análisis a través de los registros oficiales y los mensajes de los gobernadores. En primer lugar realizaremos una descripción de las medidas tomadas en relación con la canalización, rectificación de cursos y utilización de los ríos, las obras en canales de desagüe en los campos y en las ciudades. Luego vamos a ponderar la importancia del Ministerio de Obras Públicas (MOP) entre los diferentes rubros aprobados por la legislatura en el período 1910-1930, seguidamente veremos con mayor detalle las transformaciones en la agencia dedicada a las cuestiones hídricas y la, todavía escasa, información sobre los gastos especiales en obras, en un contexto en el que desde mediados del siglo XIX estaba cambiando el régimen de lluvias, que fue aumentando progresivamente hasta nuestros días (Deschamps, Otero y Tonni, 2003; Laprida y Valero Garcés, 2009).     Digital storytelling nella formazione iniziale dei docenti. Potenzialità e limiti nella pratica educativa

    This article presents the results of a pilot study conducted at Ca’ Foscari University, in which a group of teachers in pre-service education (lower and upper school) pioneered the use of digital storytelling, through a workshop. The study aimed to explore and examine the perceptions and reflections of teachers in the use of Digital Storytelling, on its possible application in the classroom, and finally the possible obstacles that could hinder its use. The results of this research suggest that, although almost all teachers involved have positive feelings about the use of digital storytelling, half of them reported the presence of substantial barriers to its effective and continuative application (such as availability of time, curriculum’s limits, limited access to technology, and the situation of the overall school system ). This outcome was recorded in spite of the teachers declaring to be positively affected by the method, and that they noticed an improvement in their professional skills together with a higher level of motivation and commitment.

    En el artículo se aborda el ejercicio de la autoridad en la frontera sur desde la perspectiva de su vinculación con las prácticas consuetudinarias que regulaban la producción ganadera en el mundo rural bonaerense de principios del siglo XIX. A partir de la reconstrucción de las actividades económicas y del comportamiento como funcionario de Juan Lorenzo Castro se procede a caracterizar la influencia que las costumbres ejercían en el accionar de las autoridades locales a la hora de resolver conflictos originados en la producción pecuaria.     A Case Study on the Impact of Digital Relationships on Unaccompanied Minors during the COVID-19 Lockdown

    Abstract.The exploratory study investigates how unaccompanied minors (UAMs) in Italy dealt with social isolation at the time of the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Have they suffered from the effects of the lockdown? How did their relationships change? What feelings characterised their experience? What factors helped them? Did ICT help them, or did it increase their social and economic marginalisation? Very little researchhasinvestigatedthe issues of UAMs, socialisation, technologies, and pandemics together. The data were collected through a purpose-built questionnaire that obtained an excellent Cronbach Alpha index (0.91) for internal consistency, which was administered to the migrant students of a school in North-East Italy. The answers indicatedthat they perceived the change in their social relations;but they coped with it, thanks to their internal resources, such as resilience and self-efficacy, and external ones, including digital devices and social support from family and teachers. Their friendship networks are regrettably fragile, and the youths do not rely much on them. On the other hand, the results show the crucial role of adults for the UAMs’ well-being: everyone, from the developers of policies to teachers, should take this aspect into account. Providing teenagers with appropriate communication technologies, ensuring the support of caregivers and teachers, and organising activities that strengthen peer networks are the actions of paramount importance, toensure their welfare

    Apprendimento narrativo in attività di coding: differenze di genere nella scuola di primo grado

    The recent introduction in Italy of Computational Thinking at the primary and secondary levels by the Educational Reform Act (October 2015) raises two critical issues: first, women are underrepresented in the computer field (OECD, 2015a; OECD, 2015b); second, girls lose their interest in computer sciences during adolescence (Gras-Velazquez et al., 2009). Therefore, the aim of this study is to investigate gender differences in self-efficacy and engagementthrough educational narrative methods for learning programming at middle school, a period considered critical in the research literature (Bandura, 1997; Pajares & Schunk, 2001a; Pajares & Schunk, 2001b). This is generally due to a decline in the self-efficacy beliefs of girls in science. Although this is an exploratory study, the implications that emerged show the potential of narrative educational activities to serve as a “cognitive bridge” to engage and improve the self-efficacy of the girls in computational thinking activities.La comunità scientifica a livello internazionale esprime da tempo preoccupazione sulla questione delle differenze di genere in quanto le donne continuano ad essere sottorappresentate nel settore tecnologico (OCDE 2015). Da diversi ricerche emerge (European Schoolnet, 2013; Bandura, 1977, Pajares, & Schunk, 2001a, b) che le ragazze perdono il loro interesse durante il periodo adolescenziale, momento decisivo nella scelta degli studi superiori,in quanto si registra un declino di self-efficacy e di interesse per l’ambito scientifico.Tale questione risulta cruciale, data la recente Riforma Educativa che prevede l’introduzione del Computational Thinking in tutta la filiera formativa. Pertanto, lo scopo di questo lavoro è di indagare le differenze di genere sulle credenze di self-efficacy e del coinvolgimento percepito in un laboratorio di programmazione, rivolto ad adolescenti tra i 10 e 12 anni, progettato su metodi didattici narrativi. L’obiettivo è di verificare come e quanto tale strategia di apprendimento possa coinvolgere le/gli adolescenti. Sebbene sitratti di uno studio esplorativo, le implicazioni emerse mostrano il potenziale ruolo delle attività narrative come “ponti cognitivi” per coinvolgere e migliorare la self efficacy e il coinvolgimento delle ragazze in attività di programmazione
