On the progenitor and early evolution of the type II supernova 2009kr

We report the identification of a source coincident with SN 2009kr in HST pre-explosion images. The object appears to be a single point source with an intrinsic colour V-I = 1.1 and M_V = -7.6. If this is a single star it would be a yellow supergiant of log L/L_{sol} \sim 5.1 and a mass of 15 (+5/-4) M_{sol}. The spatial resolution does not allow us yet to definitively determine if the progenitor object is a single star, a binary system, or a compact cluster. We show that the early lightcurve is flat, similar to IIP SNe, but that the the spectra are somewhat peculiar, displaying unusual P-Cygni profiles. The evolution of the expanding ejecta will play an important role in understanding the progenitor object.Comment: Submitted to ApJ Letter

Development of software for modeling of one dimensional contours with given conditions

EN: The algorithm and its implementation for modeling of one-dimensional contours with a monotonous change of curvature is developed. The initial data for the modeling arе the coordinates of the points, the order of smoothness and law of change of the radiuses of curvature along the contour. The positions of the centers of curvature and normals to the curve, which are appointed in the initial points, are the parameters of controlling the shape of contour

SN 1999ga: a low-luminosity linear type II supernova?

Type II-linear supernovae are thought to arise from progenitors that have lost most of their H envelope by the time of the explosion, and they are poorly understood because they are only occasionally discovered. It is possible that they are intrinsically rare, but selection effects due to their rapid luminosity evolution may also play an important role in limiting the number of detections. In this context, the discovery of a subluminous type II-linear event is even more interesting. We investigate the physical properties and characterise the explosion site of the type II SN 1999ga, which exploded in the nearby spiral galaxy NGC 2442. Spectroscopic and photometric observations of SN 1999ga allow us to constrain the energetics of the explosion and to estimate the mass of the ejected material, shedding light on the nature of the progenitor star in the final stages of its life. The study of the environment in the vicinity of the explosion site provides information on a possible relation between these unusual supernovae and the properties of the galaxies hosting them. Despite the lack of early-time observations, we provide reasonable evidence that SN 1999ga was probably a type II-linear supernova that ejected a few solar masses of material, with a very small amount of radioactive elements of the order of 0.01 solar masses.Comment: 11 pages, 9 figures. Modeling of long length and complex shaped chain and planed conveyor noise forming

    No full text
The article presents an analysis of the chain-slat conveyor in terms of noise generation. It is shown that, due to the volumetric layout and long length, it is one of the main sources of noise generation. Based on these studies, a theoretical model of its noise generation is developed. The model has been tested experimentally. The coincidence of the calculation of the results and experimental data is quite acceptable. This gives reason to talk about the possibility of using the model for calculating the noise of the conveyor of other schemes

Investigation of the processes of pollution and reduction of aquatic environment pollution on the example of artificial fish breeding enterprise activities

An important problem of modem society is the provision of the population with ecologically clean food products in quantity, range and quality, which guarantees an increase in their living standards and preservation of health. The solution to this problem is possible with the effective functioning of food market, dynamic development of agro-industrial complex, including production of marketable fish. Significant reserves for increasing fish production are water bodies existing in rural areas and new ponds being built on lands unsuitable for growing agricultural crops. As practice shows, when using inconvenient land for animal husbandry, we can get the following increase in cattle meat (kg/ha): in low-lying wetlands – 42, steppe, semi-steppe, desert pastures – 20. At the same time, from 1 hectare of pond mirrors built on such lands, an average of 200-300 kg of fish is obtained due to natural fish productivity, and with the use of fertilizers, various methods of reclamation and feeding fish up to 1000-1500 kg/ha. However, on the way to increasing fish productivity is the problem of ensuring water quality of the water body. Thus, the study of the causes and sequence of stages of pollution of water bodies determined the relevance of the research topic [1-3]

Assessment of grain losses during harvesting of grain crops on the basis of technical and economic indicators

    No full text
The article presents a method for determining the optimal losses of grain during combine harvesting (direct and with the selection of rolls). Based on the quoted operating costs. It is shown that there is no need to limit the losses from mechanical damage to the grain. But their level should not exceed 2.2%. Under these conditions, the cleaning period should be no more than 14 days and there will be a reduction in the reduced costs by 0.3%

Ecological problems in the Russian Federation. Impact on the health of people and the country’s economy

    No full text
The article discusses The transition to sustainable development of the Russian Federation as a whole is possible only if sustainable development of all its regions is ensured. This presupposes the formation of an effective spatial structure of the country’s economy while maintaining a balance of interests of all constituent entities of the Russian Federation, which predetermines the need to develop and implement programs for the transition to sustainable development for each region, as well as to further integrate these programs in the development of state policy in the field of sustainable development. Problems solved in each region should largely correspond to federal tasks, but at the same time, local specifics must be taken into account
