Reflexões sobre as influências da indústria cultural na difusão de valores estéticos: a TV aberta brasileira e a padronização da beleza

A busca pelo reconhecimento perante a sociedade tem feito com que as pessoas se deixem influenciar pelo consumo desmedido de produtos ofertados pelas indústrias culturais. Isso se dá, dentre outros fatores, pela constante evolução e aprimoramento de tecnologias de comunicação, que possibilitam a circulação de informações de forma rápida e abrangente. Neste contexto, observa-se que a difusão de valores estéticos realizada pelas mídias, e em especial pela TV aberta, torna-se essencial para o sustento da “indústria cultural da beleza” que faz com que o indivíduo, na necessidade de ser reconhecido como parte de um todo, absorva tais valores muitas vezes sem questionamentos. Tais efeitos podem ser atribuídos principalmente ao alto poder de penetração e abrangência da TV aberta, que atualmente está presente na maioria dos lares brasileiros. Diante do exposto, apresentam-se neste artigo, baseando-se nos pressupostos teóricos que envolvem a comunicação midiática e a indústria cultural proposta por Adorno e Horkheimer, reflexões sobre a penetração das mídias, seus efeitos bem como sua relação com a indústria cultural, no que se refere à difusão de valores estéticos impostos à sociedade como padrões aceitáveis de beleza.The search for recognition by society has led people to be influenced by the disproportionate consumption of products offered by cultural industries. This is the result, among other factors, of the constant evolution and improvement of communication technologies, which enable the circulation of information in a rapid and far-reaching way. As such, one can observe that the diffusion of aesthetic values by the media, especially by unsubscribed TV, is essential for the sustenance of the “beauty industry”, which very often makes individuals absorb such values without any questioning, following the need to be recognized as part of a whole . Such effects can be attributed principally to the large penetration power and farreaching abilities of unsubscribed TV, which currently is present in the majority of Brazilian homes. New biostratigraphic data from the Early Pleistocene tyrrhenian PALEOCOAST (Western Umbria, Central Italy)

Plio-quaternary marine deposits are largely documented in western Umbria (central Italy), although they still lack biostratigraphic definition. Contrary to published data, Early Pleistocene deposits outcrop more extensively than previously reported in the Orvieto area. A composite biostratigraphic succession, almost continuous from the top of the G. gr. crassaformis Zone to the top of the Gl. cariacoensis Zone, can be reconstructed in offshore clay sections. Nannofossil assemblages and marker events (bmG, tCm, blG, tHs, tlG) from the MNN16a to MNN19e subzones have been documented. Lower shoreface - transition to offshore sections as described, are characterized by poor planktonic assemblages; nevertheless, they are still referable to the same stratigraphic interval. Deposits can be partially inserted into the "Chiani - Tevere" depositional cycle, also documented in this area. Moreover, marine conditions persist in the area from the base of the Gelasian to the top of the Calabrian, and it can be modelled as a peripheral, survival sea-branch, cut-off from the main river supply and from continental influence. However, Zanclean to Piacenzian deposits occur in a small area, localized around the town of Orvieto, so the former distinction of superimposed depositional cycles can only be speculative

Modellazione di dettaglio di un sistema innovativo di rinforzo esterno per il miglioramento sismico degli edifici senza interruzione d’uso.

Lo scopo della tesi è quello di ideare e validare un sistema innovativo di rinforzo esterno dei fabbricati basato sull’utilizzo di casseforme coibentanti in polistirene con armature metalliche integrate, getti di calcestruzzo e relativi sistemi di collegamento alle strutture portanti dell’edificio esistente. Il vantaggio nell’utilizzo di queste tecnologie risiede principalmente nella possibilità di messa in opera del rinforzo per fasi successive senza una significativa interruzione d’uso della costruzione e con tempi di messa in opera relativamente ridotti. In particolare, il tema della tesi riguarda la modellazione numerica di dettaglio a supporto della fase di sviluppo della tecnologia. Nell’elaborato si approfondisce il comportamento di un singolo modulo rappresentativo del rinforzo in modo tale da prevedere i possibili esiti delle sperimentazioni in laboratorio. Lo studio del modulo comprende delle analisi statiche lineari, atte a individuare la geometria più efficiente, gli elementi strutturalmente rilevanti e la rigidezza del modulo in campo elastico. I risultati ottenuti servono inoltre da supporto e da controllo per le analisi statiche non lineari per materiale svolte successivamente che hanno lo scopo di individuare i meccanismi resistenti che si generano in campo plastico e le conseguenti riserve di resistenza del modulo. Infine, vengono effettuate delle analisi lineari di buckling tramite le quali si vuole valutare se il modulo può risentire di effetti del secondo ordine in campo elastico e come questi si possono manifestare. Il sistema di miglioramento sismico Timesafe si presenta quindi come una soluzione molto versatile sia costruttivamente, in quanto applicabile indistintamente a strutture in muratura e in calcestruzzo armato, sia strutturalmente. Essa infatti, può essere concepita come una struttura di rinforzo puramente a telaio o come una struttura più complessa in cui considerare anche il contributo irrigidente della parete di completamento

Hypogean geology of the Camerano site(Marches, Italy)

The historical Camerano town (Ancona, Central Italy), built on the top of a hill at the rear of the Conero Mt. promontory, holds a broad underground system of remarkable man-drilled caves. Contrary to the roughly total lack of subaerial accessible outcrops, the caves allow to reconstruct the geological evolution and to describe a composite sedimentological and stratigraphic section into Early Pleistocene (Calabrian) marine deposits. The present study is aimed to a better definition of the sedimentological and palaeoenvironmental context for the Camerano area, and also improves the knowledge of the Camerano caves. Sediments are mainly regarded as massive to laminated yellow-brown bioclastic sand and massive grey-green clay couplets, variable in thickness, each couplet showing erosive basal surface and normal gradation, from sand to clay. Plane-parallel lamination, marked by recurring variations in grain size, is referred to “traction carpets”, and the sand horizons are described as carbonatic turbidites with eastern supply (Conero Mt.). Conversely, clay reflects both western river deltas distal supply and local contribution from marine productivity. Along the section, matrix-supported gravel beds also occur made of heterometric clay fragments dispersed into a bioclastic sandy matrix. Described facies only partially insert in the former geological schemes, and offer new insights to the palaeoenvironmental restoration for the Camerano area, which involves a tectonically active Early Pleistocene basin, mainly dominated by clay sedimentation, periodically reached by storm- to seismic-induced carbonatic turbidites. The large clay fragments, matrix-supported gravels probably derive from remobilization of partially lithified deposits along the basin’s flank and represent the distal evolution of west- coming slumps.</p

Telefones celulares, redes sociais e interacionismo simbólico: conexões possíveis

The emergence of new communication technologies makes social practices keep pace with the constant mobility and adaptation to the new communicative reality. Thus, as the new technologies are the result of socio-technological evolution, this same society absorbs them and constantly alters its dynamics of interaction and sociability. From these suppositions we can pinpoint a communicational technology, which undoubtedly finds the necessary support in contemporary societies for its ever increasing permanence and acceptability: cell phones. Currently these artifacts are not only a synchronous person-to-person communication object in real time, but have transformed themselves into a hybrid and multifunctional device, which surpasses its main functionality and has become one of the most utilized mobile digital technologies on the planet. This paper proposes to take a look at the relationships between this artifact and the symbolic interactionism concept widely discussed by Mead and Blumer, to seek a reconfiguration of the debate about the contemporary technological nuances, especially cell phones.A emergência de novas tecnologias de comunicação faz com que as práticas sociais estejam em constante movimento e adaptação à nova realidade comunicativa. Deste modo, assim como as novas tecnologias são fruto da evolução tecnológica social, esta mesma sociedade as absorve e consequentemente alteram suas dinâmicas de interação e sociabilidade. A partir de tais pressupostos, apontamos uma tecnologia comunicacional que indubitavelmente encontra nas sociedades contemporâneas o aporte necessário à sua permanência e aceitabilidade cada vez maior: os celulares. Tais artefatos atualmente deixam de ser apenas objeto de comunicação síncrona em tempo real pessoa-pessoa, para se transformar em um dispositivo híbrido e multifuncional, que ultrapassa sua funcionalidade prima e se torna uma das tecnologias digitais móveis mais utilizadas no planeta. O e-consumidor à luz da teoria do valor percebido: um estudo sobre a aceitação ao mobile commerce

With the advancement of technologies and devices such as smartphones that allow connection to the internet, other forms of online consumption have emerged. E-commerce, once defined as a computer-mediated trading market, has turned into mobile commerce, or m-commerce, an abbreviated form of the term. However, not all consumers are willing to adopt this new format to consume products and services. The consumer tends to have the intention to consume products and services in which he or she perceives added value in the exchange process. Therefore, this study sought to analyze the antecedent factors of the perceived value and how these factors influence the intention to purchase m-commerce via cell phones. In methodological terms, the data collection was performed through the application of online questionnaires with the help of the Google Forms tool, with 452 of the questionnaires being validated. Constructs from Theories and Models of acceptance of technology are viewed in this study as the prism through which to analyze the acceptance of m-commerce by consumers. Moreover, they are the predictors for the perceived value. The results showed that the constructs perceived utility, perceived ease of use, relative advantage, compatibility, pleasure, and perceived security have a direct influence on the perceived value.Keywords: smartphones, e-consumer, m-commerce, perceived value.Com o avanço de tecnologias e dispositivos como smartphones que permitem conexão com a internet, outras formas de consumir online emergiram. O e-commerce, que antes era definido como um mercado de trocas mediado por computador, transforma-se no mobile commerce, ou m-commerce, uma forma abreviada do termo. Todavia, nem todos os consumidores estão dispostos a adotarem esse novo formato de consumir produtos e serviços. O consumidor tende a ter a intenção em consumir produtos e serviços nos quais ele percebe valor agregado na relação de troca. Nessa direção, este estudo buscou analisar os fatores antecedentes do valor percebido, e como esse influencia a intenção de compra no m-commerce por intermédio de telefones celulares. Em termos metodológicos, a coleta de dados se deu por meio da aplicação de questionários online com o auxílio da ferramenta Google Forms, sendo validados 452 deles. Constructos de teorias e modelos de aceitação de tecnologia são vistos neste estudo como o prisma através do qual se analisa a aceitação do m-commerce pelos consumidores. Além disso, eles são os preditores do valor percebido. Os resultados mostraram que os construtos utilidade percebida, facilidade de uso percebida, vantagem relativa, compatibilidade, prazer e segurança percebida têm influência direta sobre o valor percebido.Palavras-chave: smartphones, e-consumidor, m-commerce, valor percebido

Sorption of CO2, CH4 and Their Mixtures in Amorphous Poly(2,6-dimethyl-1,4-phenylene)oxide (PPO)

Sorption of pure CO2 and CH4 and CO2/CH4 binary gas mixtures in amorphous glassy Poly(2,6-dimethyl-1,4-phenylene) oxide (PPO) at 35 °C up to 1000 Torr was investigated. Sorption experiments were carried out using an approach that combines barometry with FTIR spectroscopy in the transmission mode to quantify the sorption of pure and mixed gases in polymers. The pressure range was chosen to prevent any variation of the glassy polymer density. The solubility within the polymer of the CO2 present in the gaseous binary mixtures was practically coincident with the solubility of pure gaseous CO2, up to a total pressure of the gaseous mixtures equal to 1000 Torr and for CO2 mole fractions of ~0.5 mol mol-1 and ~0.3 mol mol-1. The Non-Equilibrium Thermodynamics for Glassy Polymers (NET-GP) modelling approach has been applied to the Non-Random Hydrogen Bonding (NRHB) lattice fluid model to fit the solubility data of pure gases. We have assumed here that no specific interactions were occurring between the matrix and the absorbed gas. The same thermodynamic approach has been then used to predict the solubility of CO2/CH4 mixed gases in PPO, resulting in a deviation lower than 9.5% from the experimental results for CO2 solubility

Este trabalho tem como objetivo despertar o interesse pela doença em médicos veterinários para que estes colaborem com o controle à infecção em animais domésticos, de produção, e em animais silvestres em cativeiro.The American Trypanosomiasis is an anthropozoonosis restricted to Latin America; it affects the entire mammalian class. The infection can be lethal to humans, and remains circulating in natural environments to the present day. The purpose of this work is to create in veterinarians the interest in the disease, so that they can help fighting the infection in domestic animals, production, and even in captive wild animals
