© 2016 IEEE. With the emergence of smartphones and the widespread use of social media services, distribution of multimedia files over the Internet, and using mobile phones, has increased exponentially over the past few years. A significant number of cybercrimes pertain to illicit possession, modification, and distribution of multimedia files. The use of smartphones for this purpose makes these mobile phones rich sources of evidence. Therefore, it is crucial for forensic examiners to have the capability of recovering, analyzing, and authenticating the source of multimedia contents stored on these devices. This paper focuses on the analysis of multimedia files created on the most popular smartphones in order to ascertain the source and examine whether the files are original or edited through these devices. The popular smartphones brands analyzed in this paper include iPhone 5, iPhone 6, Blackberry Z10, Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Nokia Lumia 930, and Lenovo A536. Experimental results on all these brands are also presented

Tulung Rejo village and Pelem village were located in Pare District, Kediri Regency, East Java. On these villages which were generally known as "Kampung Inggris", spreaded 104 english courses. By having wide-large area and large number of the courses, it still have less informations such as the names, locations, and facilities of those courses. In order to accomplish this problem, it was needed geographic information system to manage and provide spatial and non spatial data. This research used coordinate data which was gotten by GPS handheld. First step was by designing an application, which consisted of use case scenario, activity diagram, class diagram, and user interface. The second was by coding the application using HTML 5 by framework ionic. The last was by running the application using emulator of pc for ensuring the application was match with the first plan. After it perfectly fixed, it can be appropriately compatible on AndroidThe output of this research was a mobile GIS application which had an informations about the courses at Tulung Rejo Village and Pelem Village. It offered the names, locations, facilities, and some other supporting informations. It was expected this application can provide useful informations and hopefully this research can be developed in the future

Influence of different dry milling processes on the properties of an attapulgite clay, contribution of inverse gas chromatography

Attention, cette publication comporte un corrigendum.International audienceThe effect of dry milling processes on the surface properties of an attapulgite clay, also called palygorskite, was investigated by carrying out experiments with different types of grinding devices. Ground products were then characterized by size measurement, scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, adsorption-desorption of N-2 and inverse gas chromatography at infinite dilution (IGC-ID) as well as finite concentration conditions (IGC-PC). These analyses were performed to evaluate the changes in particle size distribution, morphology, crystallinity and surface properties of attapulgite powder, respectively. Among the tested dry grinding devices, grinding in an air jet mill (Alpine 50 AS) and a vibratory ball mill (Pulverisette 0) led to the most significant particle size reduction. SEM photomicrographs showed that a breakage of the fibrous structure took place during dry grinding. Moreover, long grinding in Pulverisette 0 resulted in the complete destruction of fibre morphology followed by agglomeration. XRD analysis showed that whatever the grinding process, the microstructure of the attapulgite was not affected. IGC confirmed that only grinding in Pulverisette 0 affected the surface properties notably. In this case, the most significant decreases were observed in the dispersive component of the surface energy (164 to 116 mJ/m(2)) and in the specific surface area obtained with the octane probe (114.5 m(2)/g to 62.6 m(2)/g) by IGC-ID and IGC-FC, respectively. At the same time, a modification of the distribution functions of the adsorption energies (DFAE), giving information about surface heterogeneity, was noticed

Abstract Haplophyllum tuberculatum Forssk. is a medicinal plant growing in Tunisia. It is widely used in traditional medicine against gastro-intestinal problems, fevers, ear infections and rheumatisms. The present investigation evaluated the effects of leaves, stems and leaves + stems essential oils of Haplophyllum tuberculatum Forssk. and of their pure compounds on free radicals as well as their anticandidal activities. Screening for the antioxidant activity of the oils, R-(+)-limonene, S-(−)-limonene and 1-octanol was conducted by DPPH, ABTS and β-carotene/linoleic acid radical scavenging assays. The essentials oils and their compounds were screened for antifungal activity against four Candida species: Candida albicans ATCC 90028; Candida glabrata ATCC 90030; Candida parapsilosis ATCC 27853 and Candida krusei ATCC 6258. When compared with ascorbic acid as standard, it was found that the essential oils have a significant inhibition in scavenging free radicals, resulting in an important IC50. The pure compounds were inactive against the free radicals. The anticandidal test results showed that leaves, stems and leaves + stems oils strongly inhibited the growth of Candida krusei at 30 μg/mL leaves oils and 70 μg/mL for other oils and that moderately of the 3 other Candida species. The pure compound, 1-octanol, was active one against the candida species, with MIC-values between 0.07 and 1.25 mg/mL. In all in vitro assays, a significant correlation existed between the concentrations of the essential oils, the percentage inhibition of free radicals and of the growth inhibitory of tested candida species. The results indicate the essential oils may be applied for treating diseases related to free radicals, potentially to prevent cancer development and as an antifungal agent against Candida
