Th ree new triploid Sorbus species, S. concavifolia, S. rhombiformis, and S. vallusensis are described in Sorbus nothosubgenus Tormaria (Sorbus latifolia group) from the Keszthely Mts (Hungary). Illustrations (photographs of the type specimens, leaves, and fruits) and detailed distribution maps are provided, as well as photographs of in situ fl owering and fruiting individuals

Self-concept and sociometrical position in children with learning disabilities

    No full text
The diploma paper looks at specific learning difficulties as a factor affecting, inter alia, social life of individuals. The initial section pays attention to theoretical concepts encountered in this field whilethe main part explores dyslectic adults and compares them with individuals undergoing normal development. The research effort aims primarily at the socially relevant aspects of their lives, in particular the self-concept

Sources of Sorbus aria agg. variation

    No full text
Genus Sorbus is a very complex group of vascular plants. Various genetic lineages which can be fixed by apomixis are driven by interspecific hybridisation and polyploidy. Species from S. aria agg. have the highest variation probably due to an extra mechanism - introgressive hybridisation. There are several concepts of the aggregate which are usually based on three main species: S. aria, S. umbellatta and S. graeca. Therefore, new microspecies are derived by genome doubling and hybridisation between the main species. Units of the aggregate are assessed differently as the distinction of taxa is very complicated due to the overlap of the morphological variability. The aggregate itself can be sometimes considered as a category for species of uncertain origin or identification. Four species from S. aria agg. occur in the Czech Republic. In addition, the conclusion offers questions that will be addressed in the master's thesis

    Prenatal communication

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na prenatální komunikaci. Tématem této práce bylo seznámení s problematikou navázání kontaktu matky a dítěte v prenatálním období. Práce obsahuje pouze teoretickou část. Tato část popisuje hlavní poznatky o početí, průběhu těhotenství, změnách v organismu ženy i jejích psychických změnách v období těhotenství a o její správné životosprávě. Další část se věnuje vývoji dítěte v tomto období, rozvoji smyslů a pohybu. Dále se zabývá komunikací v prenatálním období na úrovni smyslové a emocionální.Katedra psychologieObhájenoThis thesis is focused on prenatal communication. The theme of this thesis was to familiarize the reader with communication of mother and child in prenatal period. The thesis contains only theoretical part. This part describes findings about conception, gravidity process, changes in organism and psyche of woman during gravidity and about her right way of living. Next part is dedicated to development of the child in this period, evolution of its senses and movements. Furthermore it is dedicated to communication in prenatal period on sense and emotional level

Sources of Sorbus aria agg. variation

The main drivers of microevolution in the genus Sorbus are interspecific hybridisation and polyploidy. The fate of new hybrid and polyploid taxa is determined by their mode of reproduction. Especially apomixis could be very advantageous for these new taxa. The S. aria agg. (subg. Aria) plays an important role within the genus since its members are involved in all hybridisation events and thereby is responsible for the substantial part of variation of the genus. Flow cytometry, molecular markers and multivariate morphological analyses were employed to evaluate the processes generating the variability in the S. aria group. Three ploidy levels were detected among species from subg. Aria in the Czech Republic. All of them could be found in the South Moravia, whereas only tetraploids occur in the Bohemia region. Moreover, most of the Czech taxa (5 out of 7) grow also only in the South Moravia which is therefore considered as a centre of diversity of the genus Sorbus in the Czech Republic. Flow cytometry seed screen revealed 7 modes of reproduction among the individuals from S. aria agg. A wide range of sexual and apomictic types of reproduction including reduced and unreduced gametes was detected. All of the diploid individuals are completely sexual. Among polyploid taxa, most of the species are..

Pregnancy from prenatal psychology point of view

ObhájenoThe thesis concentrates on pregnancy from the prenatal psychology point of view. The theoretical part concentrates on the prenatal psychology, the prenatal psychologists, basic findings about pregnancy, prenatal care, prenatal communication and its influence on further development of the baby. The practical part of this thesis is concentrated on modern mothers, the progress of their pregnancy, feelings, which they experienced during this period of time, and their opinion on prenatal communication. The questionnaire helped to find out, which feelings the mothers have and how they treat their baby even before birth

Pedagogical aspects of the development of academic stress

    No full text
Stress and its effects bring a number of problems and complications for university students. Long-term and frequent exposure to negative factors can lead not only to students dropping out of studies but also to the development of health complications. The aim of the present study was to analyse the pedagogical aspects that contribute to the emergence and impact of academic stress, with more than half of the respondents reporting that they encountered stressful situations at least twice a week. One of the biggest burdens the students indicated was performance assessment, with the traditional grading system reported as insufficient to their needs. Other elements were reported as contributing to the development of stress, including the attitude of teachers, the lack of information about the university operations as well as the perceived lack of meaning in the presented curriculum. The questionnaire and other tools used for data collection and analysis were suitably adapted to the university context, with the research sample consisting of 984 students. The data were analysed using factor exploratory analysis, the Pearson correlation coefficient and the coefficient of determination. Six factors were extracted by exploratory factor analysis: organizational aspects, communication, meaning of study, perceived deprivation, interpersonal relationships, and university environment. © 2023 The Author(s). Analysis of the pedagogical aspects of academic stress research at university: A systematic review

    Get PDF
The objective of this professional text is to create a review study covering the phenomenon of academic stress. For this purpose, the method of analysing available sources from the Web of Science and SCOPUS databases was used. In total, 38 academic sources were identified that focused on researching academic stress amongst higher education students. For the selected studies, we analysed the context of the research, research concept and the recommendations given by these studies. In addition to this analysis, we also produce a SWOT analysis looking at the strengths and weaknesses of the research surveys alongside the opportunities and threats for further investigations. © 2022, North American Business Press. The abandoned underground mine as a semi-natural ecosystem: The story of Flaschar's Mine (Czechia)

    No full text
We have investigated a typical abandoned underground slate mine situated in the Bohemian Massif (Central Europe) in order to describe its elementary components and to outline the varied relations among them. Based on the results from geological, geomorphological, hydrological, microclimatic, and biological investigation, we have defined the abandoned underground mine as an important but overlooked semi-natural ecosystem that represents an azonal and relatively fast evolving environment. Unlike any other studies published so far, we have found it also vulnerable in terms of fragility and time-limited stability. Our results together with a comprehensive discussion highlight the fundamental features of the abandoned underground mine and finally serve as a basis on which we introduce a conceptual model of the abandoned underground mine. The complex and interdisciplinary perception of abandoned underground mines is crucial for appropriate environmental assessment, tourist management, natural protection or remediation.Web of Science213art. no. 10617
