    Get PDF
This study aims to determine the effect of internationalization and funding decisions on the performance of manufacturing companies in the last 5 (five) years from 2014-2018 registered in Kompas 100. This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach with secondary analysis. The analytical tool used is multiple linear regression analysis with the help of the SPSS 26 program. Based on the results of data analysis, internationalization (foreign sales to total sales) and funding decisions (DER) partially affect the company's performance (Tobin's Q). Simultaneously internationalization and funding decisions affect company performance. This means companies that are able to increase their exports selectively and strategically will have an impact on the company's performance through increasing effective funding to finance export performance so that it will increase revenue and create better profits, overall affecting the performance of a company through better company value, seen by the increasing value of the company's shares. Finally, this article contributes to the knowledge and understanding of companies especially in Indonesia relating to the performance of a company and its impact on the manufacturing industry, challenges, and future prospects. Therefore it is recommended that in order to improve the performance of companies, especially manufacturing industries, companies when appointing managers, management of manufacturing companies must consider factors such as individual knowledge of the manufacturing industry, export-import, and corporate financial managemen

The Effect of Foreign Direct Investment and Economic Development on Renewable Energy in Indonesia

    Get PDF
The study aims to explore the indicators of foreign direct investment (FDI) and their impact on economic development, with a specific focus on renewable energy in Indonesia. It is well-known that FDI plays a significant role in the development of developing countries, and Indonesia, being one of them, still faces challenges in meeting the energy needs of its citizens. The empirical analysis utilizes the Multiple Regression approach with data spanning from 1981 to 2021. The results indicate a cointegration relationship between model parameters and cross-sectional dependence. Additionally, the study finds that FDI and inflation have a negative impact on renewable energy, while population and GDP have a positive and significant effect. Furthermore, economic growth and fossil fuel consumption also positively influence renewable energy consumption. In the long term, the estimation results suggest that FDI and financial development have a simultaneous effect on energy consumption, which aligns with economic growth but not necessarily with renewable energy consumption. This implies that while FDI and financial development contribute to overall energy consumption as the economy grows, they may not directly impact the adoption of renewable energy sources. Based on the research findings, policymakers in Indonesia are encouraged to focus on sustainable development and consider policy transformations that facilitate the transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy sources. Keywords: FDI, GDP, inflation, population, renewable energy, multiple regressio

Many people think that young people will be the leaders of tomorrow, but in reality, they are the leaders of today, and their diverse upbringing and life experiences will influence how they view politics. They must thus become more politically educated and engaged in order to direct their efforts toward constructive change and position themselves as leaders in the defense and advancement of democracy. Young people who are politically engaged develop a civic ethic that extends beyond politics and includes community service through involvement in health, education, and philanthropic endeavors. Voting, taking part in political revelations, and signing petitions on certain causes are all examples of political involvement, which is a more focused form of civic commitment or contribution. Young people's involvement in politics is not only advantageous in the near run, but it also lays the groundwork for sustained political activism in the future.
