    This Research can be demonstrated from students who are less active and do not dare to ask during the process of KBM, feel awkward when dealing with many people, unable to respect himself or others, and often compare themselves. The population of this research is all students of VHS Nusa Bhakti Semarang which amounted to 278 students with a sample number of research of 157 students taken with a proportional random sampling technique. The Data Collector tool used in this study is the psychological scale of self-esteem, the psychological scale of social support, and the psychological scale of self-confidence. The results of the first hypothesis analysis show that there is a significant positive relationship between self-esteem and confidence (β = 0.416; t = 5,834; p 3,03, p<0,05.

    OVERCOMING STUDENT BULLYING BEHAVIOUR THROUGH ROLE-PLAYING TECHNIQUE GROUP COUNSELING. This study aims to determine the impact of group counselling on role-playing techniques on student bullying behaviour at SMP Negeri 1 Terisi Indramayu. The pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group experimental design was used in this study by involving a total of 14 students of class VIII who were selected using the purposive sampling technique as participants and divided into two groups. Bullying behaviour data were collected through a form of bullying scale-perpetration. The data analysis technique used is nonparametric statistics using the Wilcoxon test with a significant level of 5%.     MENINGKATKAN HARDINESS TUNANETRA DENGAN TEKNIK COGNITIVE RESTRUCTURING DAN SELF-TALK

    AbstractHardiness is a mental state to face challenges and difficulties. A person with a high level of hardiness can avoid stress. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of group counselling on cognitive restructuring and self-talk in increasing the hardiness of the blind. In this study, the experimental design used was "Randomized Pretest-Posttest Comparison Group. As a step to obtain data, it involved 21 blind people who were selected by random assignment. There were 3 groups that were given treatment with 7 visually impaired each. The experimental group used cognitive restructuring techniques, self-talk techniques, and combined cognitive restructuring and self-talk techniques. When the treatment was finished, the average value of group A (cognitive restructuring technique) was M = 95.57, while in group B (self-talk technique) it was M = 102.4 and in group C (combination technique) the M value was = 104.1. So, the combination of cognitive restructuring and self-talk techniques has a significant effect on the hardiness of the blind. Keyword: Cognitive Restructuring, and Self-Talk, Group Counseling, Hardiness,  The BlindAbstrakHardiness merupakan keadaan mental untuk menghadapi tantangan dan kesulitan. Seseorang dengan tingkat hardiness yang tinggi dapat terhindar dari stres. Tujuan penelitian  ini untuk menganalisis keefektifan konseling kelompok cognitive restructuring dan self-talk dalam meningkatkan hardiness tunanetra. Dalam penelitian ini desain eksperimen yang digunakan adalah Randomized Pretest-Posttest Comparasion Group. Sebagai langkah memperoleh data maka melibatkan 21 tunanetra yang dipilih secara random assignment. Ada 3 kelompok yang diberikan perlakuan dengan masing-masing 7 tunanetra. Kelompok eksperimen tersebut menggunakan teknik cognitive restructuring, teknik self-talk, serta teknik gabungan cognitive restructuring dan self-talk. Pada saat treatment selesai diberikan, nilai rata-rata kelompok A (teknik cognitive restructuring) sebesar M = 95.57 sedangkan  pada kelompok B (teknik self-talk) sebesar M = 102.4 serta pada kelompok C (teknik kombinasi) nilai M sebesar = 104.1. Maka, gabungan teknik cognitive restructuring dan teknik self-talk memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap hardiness tunanetra.                                   Kata Kunci: Cognitive Restructuring, Self-Talk, Konseling Kelompok, Hardiness, Tunanetr

    Predicting Video Game Addiction: The Effects of Composite Regulatory Focus and Interpersonal Competence Among Indonesian Teenagers During COVID-19 Pandemic

    Video game addiction is recognized as a mental health problem caused by uncontrolled access to video gaming platforms. Proper assistance and counseling programs based on the addiction causing factors are required to reduce the tendencies of video game addiction. The study aims to identify the correlation between regulatory focus theory and interpersonal competence towards the tendencies of video game addiction. The study is a type of cross-sectional research with the adapted psychological scales. A total of 136 teenagers, consisting of 86 males and 50 females participated in the survey of self-reported video game addiction. The data were analyzed using multiple regression analysis. The findings revealed that regulatory focus and interpersonal competence simultaneously had a significant effect on the tendencies of video game addiction behavior. The findings of the study can provide the basis to provide proper assistance services, in an attempt to reduce the tendencies of video game addiction among teenagers

    Qur'an-Based Psychoeducation to Prevent Premarital Sexual Behavior Among Muslim Adolescents

    The increasing trend of premarital sex is a serious threat to social and religious values. However, the intervention of a medical and psychological-based psychoeducational model alone is not effective enough to reduce the Premarital sexual behavior of Indonesian Muslim adolescents. This study aims to analyze the Qur'an-based psychoeducational model, which touches on aspects of cognition, affection, psychomotor and spirituality. This is a qualitative research. The data were obtained through interviews and documentation, which then analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s model data analysis tools. The results of this study reveal that the Qur'anic psychoeducational model is used as an alternative way to prevent Premarital sex. The Qur'an contains values ​​that regulate sexual behavior. The doctrine of sexual behavior in the Qur'an has proven to be effective as a reference for implementing psychoeducational models among adolescents. The basic teachings about covering certain body parts, lowering the gaze, and the prohibition of approaching adultery contribute to the psychoeducational group program for the development of cognitive, affective, behavioral and spiritual aspects. This study, theoretically contributes to expanding the dimensions of psychoeducational programs, especially in combining psychological approaches with the teachings of the Qur'an, faith, and spirituality to protect, reduce, and overcome the problems of premarital sexual behavior of Indonesian Muslim adolescents

    THE ROLE OF PARENTS IN THE IMPLEMENTATION OF GUIDANCE AND COUNSELING SERVICES TECHNOLOGY DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

    During the COVID-19 pandemic, guidance and counseling teachers are demanded to keep running counseling services using various alternatives of online learning applications. At the same time, parents as the main assistants in the online counseling process should actively encourage their children to have active participation. It is because the majority of parents consider that all the things related to school activities are totally teachers’ responsibility. Thus, the present study attempted to find, reveal, and describe the role of parents in the implementation of supporting technology for online counseling services during the COVID-19 pandemic. To do so, the researchers adopted an online survey method and cross-sectional technique to analyze the data of 350 student's parents in Semarang Regency as the respondents of this study. Generally, the findings indicated that parents with high level of understanding tend to provide great support for the online counseling services given to their children.  Article visualizations

    MODÉL DIRECT INSTRUCTION DINA PANGAJARAN NULIS GUGURITAN : Studi Kuasi Ékspérimén di Kelas VIII-A SMP Negeri 1 Lembang Taun Ajaran 2018/2019

    Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah kurangnya kemampuan menulis guguritan siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan menulis guguritan siswa sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan model Direct Instruction, dan perbedaan kemampuan siswa sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan model Direct Instruction. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kuasi eksperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif, serta menggunakan desain one group pre-test post-test ke 30 siswa kelas VIII-A SMP Negeri 1 Lembang tahun ajaran 2018/2019. Teknik yang digunakan yaitu teknik tes, sedangkan instrumen yang digunakan dalam mengumpulkan data adalah tes menulis guguritan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah: (1) kemampuan menulis guguritan siswa sebelum menggunakan model Direct Instruction termasuk dalam kategori belum mampu, dengan rata-rata 53.3, (2) kemampuan menulis guguritan siswa sesudah menggunakan model Direct Instrcution termasuk dalam kategori mampu, dengan rata-rata 79.2, dan (3) berdasarkan hasil uji perbedaan (t-test) terdapat perbedaan antara kemampuan menulis guguritan sebelum dan sesudah model Direct Instruction. Hal ini terlihat dari nilai signifikansinya adalah Sig.= 0.000<0.05. Oleh karena itu, H_1 diterima atau H_0 ditolak. Jadi, model Direct Instruction dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis guguritan siswa kelas VIII-A SMP Negeri 1 Lembang tahun ajaran 2018/2019. Kata Kunci: Model Direct Instruction, Menulis Guguritan ------- The background of this research is the lack of students’ writing guguritan ability. This research aim to describe students’ writing guguritan ability before and after using a Direct Instruction models. The method used in this study is quasi experiment with one group pre-test post-test design to junior high school students of grade VIII class A in the academic year of 2018/2019. Technique used in this research is written test, with written test in guguritan topic as a instrument to collect data. The results are: (1) the students’ writing in guguritan ability before used Direct Instruction models belongs to hasn’t been able to, with an average of 53.3, (2) the students’ writing in guguritan ability after used Direct Instruction models belongs to has been able to, with an average of 79.2, (3) based on the t-test result there are differences in writing ability before and after using Direct Instruction models. The significancy value is Sig= 0.000 < 0.05, with H_1 accepted and H_0 rejected. In conclusion the used of Direct Instruction model in writing guguritan can improving the ability and showed that there is a significant difference between before and after using the Direct Instruction model in the writing guguritan.
