La radiología y su aplicación a la ciencia forense

Este trabajo describe y busca evidenciar la importancia que tiene la radiología forense y toda la información que puede aportar para la resolución de crímenes, demostrando los diferentes métodos y formas de aplicación según corresponda para cada área, dentro de éste se indicará la ruta que tiene la cadena de custodia dentro del medio legal, los métodos de identificación que priman en Colombia y las diferentes fases que presentan los fenómenos cadavéricos según el tiempo de sucedida la muerte, así mismo las medidas de bioseguridad que debemos tener presentes a la hora de su manipulación sin perder lo que nos define y caracteriza como seres humanos, nuestra humanización en pacientes y así mismo en cadáveres, respetando la vida que un día tuvieron.The present work seeks to demonstrate the importance of forensic radiology and all the information it can provide for the resolution of crimes, demonstrating the different methods and forms of application as appropriate for each area, within it the route of the chain will be indicated. of custody within the legal environment, the identification methods that prevail in Colombia and the different phases that cadaveric phenomena present according to the time that the corpse has died, as well as the biosecurity measures that we must keep in mind when handling it without losing what defines and characterizes us as human beings, our humanization in patients and also in corpses, respecting the life they once had

Água, pobreza e eqüidade: uma análise assimétrica

The aim of this article is geared toward reflection on gaps present in certain elements which define access to water for the poor and the persistence of this inequality in Colombia. The methodology applied favor a theoretical method and statistical approach where the asymmetric analysis of poverty is addressed, the coverage of water supply, access to water and impact born in providing an inadequate water supply service, all viewed in the urban and rural contexts. The results show that the slow development of political will to intervene the problem is also reflected in the slow progress of the variables that eliminate the inequality gap as poverty of 21.8 percentage points (PP), service coverage 47.1 PP and access to water at 44.4 PP. This, somehow, can be understood as a lack of social and environmental ethics from public affairs.El objetivo del presente artículo se orienta hacia una reflexión en torno a las brechas presentes en determinados elementos que tipifican el acceso al agua de la población pobre y la persistencia de esa inequidad en Colombia. La metodología y método aplicados favorecen un acercamiento teórico y estadístico donde se aborda el análisis asimétrico de la pobreza, la cobertura de acueducto, el acceso al agua y el impacto nacido en la prestación de un servicio de abastecimiento hídrico inadecuado, todo ello visto en los contextos urbano y rural. Los resultados obtenidos evidencian que el lento desarrollo de la voluntad política para intervenir la problemática se refleja igualmente en el lento avance de las variables que permiten eliminar la brecha de inequidad en cuanto pobreza de 21,8 puntos porcentuales (PP), cobertura del servicio en 47,1 PP y acceso al agua en 44,4 PP. Esto, de alguna manera, se puede entender como una falta de ética social y ambiental desde el quehacer público.O objetivo deste artigo é voltado para a reflexão sobre as lacunas presentes emcertos elementos que defi­nem o acesso à água para os pobres eapersistênciadessadesigualdade na Colômbia. Ecoarte: Una oportunidad para conocer la biodiversidad y cuidar el medio ambiente

La enseñanza de las artes plásticas en la educación primaria permite a los estudiantes, entre muchas cosas, expresar sus emociones, experimentar con diferentes técnicas y materiales, tener una aproximación a la historia y la cultura a través del estudio y contemplación de las grandes obras y fortalecer la creatividad, el pensamiento divergente y el desarrollo motriz. Ahora bien, atendiendo a las necesidades educativas actuales, el estudio del arte en la escuela no debe ser entendido como un fin en sí mismo, sino un medio para movilizar diferentes competencias y saberes en los estudiantes, superando el discurso del arte por el arte, para aportar a su desarrollo como sujetos sociales, fortaleciendo las habilidades necesarias para enfrentar los retos que la contemporaneidad impone, atendiendo a las problemáticas propias de cada comunidad y contexto a las que va dirigida la enseñanza.The teaching of visual arts in primary education allows students, among many things, to express their emotions, experiment with different techniques and materials, to have an approach to history and culture through the study and contemplation of great works and to enhance creativity, divergent thinking and motor development. Pathological cell assembly dynamics in a striatal MSN network model

Under normal conditions the principal cells of the striatum, medium spiny neurons (MSNs), show structured cell assembly activity patterns which alternate sequentially over exceedingly long timescales of many minutes. It is important to understand this activity since it is characteristically disrupted in multiple pathologies, such as Parkinson's disease and dyskinesia, and thought to be caused by alterations in the MSN to MSN lateral inhibitory connections and in the strength and distribution of cortical excitation to MSNs. To understand how these long timescales arise we extended a previous network model of MSN cells to include synapses with short-term plasticity, with parameters taken from a recent detailed striatal connectome study. We first confirmed the presence of sequentially switching cell clusters using the non-linear dimensionality reduction technique, Uniform Manifold Approximation and Projection (UMAP). We found that the network could generate non-stationary activity patterns varying extremely slowly on the order of minutes under biologically realistic conditions. Next we used Simulation Based Inference (SBI) to train a deep net to map features of the MSN network generated cell assembly activity to MSN network parameters. We used the trained SBI model to estimate MSN network parameters from ex-vivo brain slice calcium imaging data. We found that best fit network parameters were very close to their physiologically observed values. On the other hand network parameters estimated from Parkinsonian, decorticated and dyskinetic ex-vivo slice preparations were different. Our work may provide a pipeline for diagnosis of basal ganglia pathology from spiking data as well as for the design pharmacological treatments

Cellular and Humoral Responses Follow-up for 8 Months after Vaccination with mRNA-Based Anti-SARS-CoV-2 Vaccines

Vaccination against SARS-CoV-2 has become the main method of reducing mortality and severity of COVID-19. This work aims to study the evolution of the cellular and humoral responses conferred by two mRNA vaccines after two doses against SARS-CoV-2. On days 30 and 240 after the second dose of both vaccines, the anti-S antibodies in plasma were evaluated from 82 volunteers vaccinated with BNT162b2 and 68 vaccinated with mRNA-1273. Peripheral blood was stimulated with peptides encompassing the entire SARS-CoV-2 Spike sequence. IgG Anti-S antibodies (humoral) were quantified on plasma, and inflammatory cytokines (cellular) were measured after stimulation. We observed a higher response (both humoral and cellular) with the mRNA-1273 vaccine. Stratifying by age and gender, differences between vaccines were observed, especially in women under 48 and men over 48 years old. La imagen y la narrativa como herramientas para el abordaje psicosocial en escenarios de violencia. Departamento de Santander

Dentro de un proceso de acompañamiento psicosocial es importante la implementación de acciones, que permitan mitigar situaciones de negatividad, a las cuales han estado expuestas las víctimas, ya sea dentro de contextos familiares, sociales o culturales. Es indispensable que, en el momento de abordar a cada individuo, tengamos presente dos elementos fundamentales: la primera es, conectarnos de manera efectiva con la historia de la persona, teniendo en cuenta los diferentes acontecimientos de la vida, las distintas subjetividades arraigadas dentro del proceso, y la segunda, identificación de sentimientos y emociones de cada uno de los miembros de la comunidad, así lograremos empezar la construcción de un apoyo adecuado a partir de dolor y la tristeza, pero a la vez queriendo trasformar estas situaciones en historias de vida esperanzadoras. Desde el enfoque narrativo analizamos cada una de las diferentes historias de vida de las víctimas del conflicto, pero que a su vez se basa en la emancipación de diferentes narrativas en razón de cada una de las maneras de pensar, sentir y actuar de manera colectiva y a partir de las creencias de la comunidad afectada. De igual modo este trabajo presenta cada uno de los ejercicios de voz realizados por el grupo, donde se establece la imagen como una herramienta de acompañamiento y diagnostico psicosocial, puesto que el objetivo de esta, es reflejar más cosas que no son fáciles de captar o percibir y que muchas veces pasamos desapercibidas.Within a psychosocial accompaniment process, it is important to implement actions that allow mitigating situations of negativity, to which victims have been exposed, whether within family, social or cultural contexts. It is essential that, when addressing each individual, we bear in mind two fundamental elements: the first is, to connect effectively with the person's history, taking into account the different events in life, the different subjectivities rooted within the process, and the second, identification of feelings and emotions of each of the members of the community, thus we will be able to begin the construction of an adequate support based on pain and sadness, but at the same time wanting to transform these situations into life stories hopeful. From the narrative perspective, we analyze each of the different life stories of the victims of the conflict, but which in turn is based on the emancipation of different narratives due to each of the ways of thinking, feeling and acting collectively and from the beliefs of the affected community. Similarly, this work presents each of the voice exercises carried out by the group, where the image is established as a tool for accompaniment and psychosocial diagnosis, since the objective of this is to reflect more things that are not easy to capture or perceive and that many times we go unnoticed

Caracterización de los Grupos Empresariales Colombianos de Cara a la Aplicación de las Normas Internacionales de Información Financiera (NIIF)

En este artículo se desarrolla una caracterización de los grupos empresariales colombianos de cara a la aplicación de las Normas Internacionales de Información Financiera, en contraste parcial con las normas contables locales. Se realiza una contextualiz1ación desde el punto de vista teórico de los grupos empresariales, así como una comparación de la normatividad local y las NIIF, considerando diferencias en los conceptos que enmarcan el tema tratado. Para desarrollar el trabajo de campo se seleccionaron algunos de los grupos empresariales más representativos en la economía del país, desagregados por sectores, se recolectó y procesó la información necesaria para concluir acerca del reconocimiento, presentación y revelación de las inversiones patrimoniales en los Estados Financieros Consolidados. En este punto se realizan análisis cuantitativos sobre los rubros de inversiones, interés minoritario y patrimonio, y las variaciones en algunos indicadores financieros, sin considerar para lo anterior los efectos de cambios en la medición de las demás partidas. Se incluye también un análisis cualitativo de las revelaciones exigidas por NIIF, calificando objetivamente la información presentada en las notas a los estados financieros, evaluando implicaciones en este apartado para los Grupos Empresariales en Colombia.This article presents a characterization of Colombian business groups, facing the application of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), in partial contrast with local accounting standards is developed. one contextualization is made from the theoretical point of view of business groups, and a comparison of local regulations and IFRS, considering differences in the concepts that frame the subject. To develop fieldwork some of the most representative business groups were selected in the economy, disaggregated by sector, collected and processed the information necessary to conclude about the recognition, presentation and disclosure of equity investments in the Consolidated Financial Statements . At this point quantitative analysis of the areas of investments, minority interest and equity, and changes in some financial indicators, without regard to the above the effects of changes in the measurement of other items are made. a qualitative analysis of the disclosures required by IFRS It also includes objectively describing the information presented in the notes to the financial statements, assessing implications in this section for business groups in Colombia

Efeito do tratamento térmico sobre as propriedades tribológicas do recobrimento autocatalítico níquel-boro

Nesta pesquisa avaliaram-se as propriedades tribológicas de recobrimentos autocatalíticos Ni-B depositados sobre aço ao carbono AISI/SAE 1018 antes e depois de aplicar um tratamento térmico a 450 °C durante 1 hora. Adicionalmente, realizaram-se ensaios tribológicos por deslizamento em seco, utilizando uma carga de 5 N e uma velocidade de deslizamento de 0.012 m/s, em um tribômetro ball-on-disk fabricado pelo CIDEMAT de acordo com a norma ASTM G99. De acordo com a avaliação tribológica, estabeleceu-se que o tratamento térmico aplicado melhora significativamenteo rendimento tribológico dos recobrimentos autocatalíticos Ni-B.Los recubrimientos autocatalíticos de níquel-boro son utilizados en diferentes industrias para mejorar las propiedades mecánicas de materiales, como la dureza y la resistencia al desgaste. En esta investigación se evaluaron las propiedades tribológicas de recubrimientos autocatalíticos Ni-B depositados sobre acero al carbono AISI/SAE 1018 antes y después de aplicar un tratamiento térmico a 450 °C durante 1 hora. De acuerdo con la evaluación tribológica, se estableció que el tratamiento térmico aplicado mejora significativamente el rendimiento tribológico de los recubrimientos autocatalíticos Ni-B.Nickel-Boron autocatalytic coatings are widely used in several industries to improve mechanical properties of materials such as hardness and wear resistance. Tribological properties were evaluated in Ni-B autocatalytic coatings deposited on AISI/SAE 1018 carbon steel before and after a heat treatment at 450 °C for one hour. Tribological tests were carried out by dry sliding, using a load of 5 N and a sliding speed of 0.012 m/s, in a homemade ball-on-disk tribometer, which followed ASTM G99 standard. According to the tribological evaluation, the heat treatments applied to Ni-B coatings improved their tribological performance. This research corroborates that by applying an adequate heat treatment, hardness and wear resistance of Ni-B coatings can be improved significantly.Bibliografía: página 110
