Contribution of Educational Management to Optimal Service of Educational Development

Education has a momentous and influential role in developing this country. The specific function of educational management may not be fully depended on the central government. In line with local autonomy era, local government (municipality) must also be able to initiate and play its extended role in order to enhance the educational quality at the local level. On the other hand the existence of higher education institutions at local levels, in particular those offering educational management or concentration on educational policy management, have to be able to develop their competencies to collaborate with the municipal educational offices towards further development and improvement of the educational quality at the local levels. This paper will explain several ways that can be done by the Educational Management or Administration in collaboration with the Municipal Educational and Cultural Office to initiate and play its extended role in order to enhance the educational quality at the local level

Memacu Pelaksan·aan Cara Belajar Siswa Aktif (Cbsa) Melalui Pelaya,nan Supervisi

Dalam transformasi pendidikan dan pengajaran, metode meng· ajar merupakan salah satu komponen penting yang tergolong dalam kategori masukan instrumental di samping kurikulum, guru, dan sarana. Usaha-USAha yang dilakukan oleh para pendidik untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa pada umumnya diarahkan pada komponen-komponen tersebut secara langsung, yaitu dalam bentuk memperbaiki pendekatan, metode mengajar, melengkapi sarana, dan sebagainya.Upaya peningkatan pend,ekatan atau metode mengajar yang dilakukan telah dikaitkan dengan peningkatan k,eterlibatan siswa dalam kegiatan belajar-mengajar. Cara Belajar Siswa Aktif (CBSA) yang merupakan salah satu bentuk pembaharuan pendidikan dalam pendekatan. Walaupun, pelaksanaannya memakan waktu cukup lama, cara tersebut telah disadari perlunya, kemudian diterima oleh para guru sebagai suatu cara untuk meningkatkan kualitas perolehan siswa.Dalam keseluruhan sistem pendidikan, supervisi merupakan bantuan bagi guru untuk meningkatkan kualitas mengajarnya seperti dikatakan oleh Kimball Wiles "supervision is assistance"in the development of a botter teaching-learning situation" (1, 1956:8). Demikiamah dalam tulisan ini akan disajikan sebuah uraian mengenai keterlibatan supervisi untuk menunjang pelaksanaan Cara Belajar Siswa Aktif, satu bentuk uji coba yang dilakukan oleh Balitbang Dikbuddi kabupaten Cianjur bagi pendidikan dasar pacta tahun 1979

Efektivitas Pengelolaan Kegiatan Kelompok Kerja Guru (Kkg) Di Kecamatan Rembang Kabupaten Purbalingga

This research aimed to obtain the description concerning participants, superintendent, materials, activities, and facilities/infrastructure on the effectiveness of the management of Kelompok Kerja Guru (KKG)/Teacher Working Group activities in UPT Dinas Pendidikan (Sub-district Education Office) of Rembang Sub-district, Purbalingga. The data were collected by using questionnaires distributed to 303 respondents. The questionnaires involved questions participants, coaches, materials, activities, and facilities /infrastructure on the effectiveness of the management of KKG activities in UPT Dinas Pendidikan Rembang Sub-district, Purbalingga. The analysis instruments adopted comprised instrument test (validitity, and reliability) analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Based on the analysis, it could be concluded that the component of participants is 96% very effective, 4% effective. Component of superintendent is 81.8% very effective, and 18.2% effective. The component of materials is 80,5 very effective, 19.5% effective. The component of activities is 96.7% very effective, 3.3% effective. The component of facilities/infrastructure is 90.8%, and 9.2% effective

PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA SCRABBLE UNTUK MENDUKUNG KETERAMPILAN BERBICARA BAHASA JAWA KRAMA SISWA KELAS 5 SD NEGERI 2 PETIR BANTUL

This study aims to develop Javanese learning media for Krama Language material to support speaking skills that can help teachers deliver the material. This research is a research and development (R&D) using the 4D (four-D) development model. This research was conducted on fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 2 Petir Bantul. The product trial subjects are six students, and the trial run is 18 students. This study used instruments in the form of questionnaires and oral tests. The analysis of this research is qualitative and quantitative analysis. The results of the study from expert validation got an average value of 88.76 (Very Good). Product trials were obtained from the responses of teachers and students with grades of 96.88 (Very Good) and 93.33 (Very Good). Students' oral test scores before using the media are 60 (good); then, after using get a value of 95 (Very Good) trial use of the response of teachers and students get a value of 96.63 (Very Good); and 96.97 (Very Good). The oral test of students before using the media is 48.89 (less); after using get a value of 86.11 (Very Good). Overall, data from all assessments of the quality and feasibility of Kramaic Scrabble media are included in the category of Very Good (SB)

Novice Counselor's Work Readiness

This descriptive study aims to find out the novice counselors’ work readiness. To this end, fifty-four novice counselors graduated from the guidance and counseling department of Ahmad Dahlan University were recruited. The data were collected using a work readiness scale and analyzed using a quantitative descriptive technique. The result showed that the school counselors’ strongest aspect lay in work attitude, while the weakest aspect lay in interpersonal communication. Based on the focus group discussion, novice counselors still faced some difficulties when providing guidance and counseling services at school. The most frequently found obstacles were their ability to deal with the students’ mental, assertiveness, group counseling services, collaboration service, and service management. This study can be used as the basis to develop a service or training strategy to improve the novice counselors’ work readiness

Manajemen Penelitian

MANAJEMEN PENELITIAN Bidang penelitian dewasa ini mendapatkan prioritas terutama bagi mereka yang menginginkan penemuan – penemuan atau hal yang baru. Jika ditelaah lebih jauh, kegiatan penelitian dan segenap unsure yang terkait baik adrimistrasi maupun metode – metode yang digunakan adalah kunci keberhasilan pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan yang diteliti tersebut. Bab – bab yang dibahas dalam buku ini adalah sama pentingnya antara yang satu dengan yang lain. Namun apabila seorang peneliti ingin mengetahui hasil dan kegiatan penelitiannya, maka seorang peneliti hendaklah menggunakan metode – metode yang sudah ada, dan hasilnya pun harus dapat mempertanggung jawabkan. Mengingat pentingnya kegiatan penelitian Lembaga pendidikan dan pengembangan, maka buku ini kiranya dapat dijadikan bahan referensi atau pedoman teoretis. Disamping itu, sejalan dengan SK. Menteri penertiban aparatur Negara nomor 26 Tahun 1989 yang memberikan kesempatan kepada guru untuk kenaikan pangkat berdasarkan angka kredit, maka buku ini akan sangat membantu mereka dalam mengisi butir kegiatan penelitian. Dengan demikian semua guru dan tingkat sekolah dasar sampai dengan SLTA dapat menggunakan buku ini
