Contabilidade e sustentabilidade nos Enanpads: 2010-2016

Based on environmental concerns, has emerged at United Nations Organizations a Committee to discuss sustainability and sustainable development, from which emerged several other research, reports and materials for academic and public policy use. In this sense, the theme became important and studied in several areas, such as Accounting and Administration, winning thematic sessions at events such as EnANPAD - Meeting of the National Association of Management Research - the largest Brazilian event in the area. Considering this gain of importance, this paper aims to analyze the articles published in the line Accounting and Sustainability from 2010 to 2016. For this, all articles were collected for a quantitative analysis, based on a frequency analysis, using the NVivo® software. The results show the most common words and themes in titles, abstracts. From the results, it is possible to conclude that there is a diversity of approaches given to this theme, but it is noticed that the publications have a focus on issues of measurement and disclosure of actions related to sustainability. Thus, within the accounting approach, sustainability is related to thinking about the future of the organization and its image, that is, the dissemination of its results.A partir das preocupações com o meio ambiente, surgiu, na Organização das Nações Unidas, uma comissão para discutir sustentabilidade e desenvolvimento sustentável, da qual emergiram diversas outras pesquisas, relatórios e materiais de uso acadêmico e de uso em políticas públicas. Nesse sentido, o tema se tornou importante e tem sido estudado em diversas áreas, como na Contabilidade e na Administração, ganhando, inclusive, sessões temáticas em eventos, como o Encontro da Associação Nacional de Pesquisa em Administração (EnANPAD), maior evento brasileiro da área. Visto esse ganho de importância, este trabalho tem por objetivo analisar os artigos publicados na linha Contabilidade e Sustentabilidade, de 2010 a 2016. Para tal, coletou-se todos os artigos para uma análise quantitativa, a partir de uma análise frequencial, utilizando-se o software NVivo®. Os resultados mostram as palavras e temas mais comuns nos títulos e resumos. A partir dos resultados, é possível concluir que há uma diversidade de abordagens direcionadas a essa temática, mas percebe-se que as publicações possuem um enfoque em temas de mensuração e divulgação das ações relacionadas à sustentabilidade. Assim, dentro da abordagem contábil, a sustentabilidade está relacionada a pensar no futuro da organização e sua imagem, ou seja, à divulgação de seus resultados

Box–Cox Transformation and Random Regression Models for Fecal egg Count Data

Accurate genetic evaluation of livestock is based on appropriate modeling of phenotypic measurements. In ruminants, fecal egg count (FEC) is commonly used to measure resistance to nematodes. FEC values are not normally distributed and logarithmic transformations have been used in an effort to achieve normality before analysis. However, the transformed data are often still not normally distributed, especially when data are extremely skewed. A series of repeated FEC measurements may provide information about the population dynamics of a group or individual. A total of 6375 FEC measures were obtained for 410 animals between 1992 and 2003 from the Beltsville Agricultural Research Center Angus herd. Original data were transformed using an extension of the Box–Cox transformation to approach normality and to estimate (co)variance components. We also proposed using random regression models (RRM) for genetic and non-genetic studies of FEC. Phenotypes were analyzed using RRM and restricted maximum likelihood. Within the different orders of Legendre polynomials used, those with more parameters (order 4) adjusted FEC data best. Results indicated that the transformation of FEC data utilizing the Box–Cox transformation family was effective in reducing the skewness and kurtosis, and dramatically increased estimates of heritability, and measurements of FEC obtained in the period between 12 and 26 weeks in a 26-week experimental challenge period are genetically correlated

Is arthrodesis still a good indication for non-inflammatory arthrosis of the wrist?

AbstractObjectiveThe aim of this study was to objectively and subjectively evaluate wrist function after total arthrodesis, among patients with sequelae of non-inflammatory arthritis who were treated with rigid internal fixation using a DCP plate.MethodsThirty-two patients with sequelae of non-inflammatory degenerative arthritis were treated using total arthrodesis of the wrist. Of these, two patients were treated with Kirschner wires and four discontinued the treatment, thus leaving 26 patients. The indication for arthrodesis of the wrist was the presence of intracarpal pathological conditions: eight wrists presented sequelae from fractures of the distal radius; 13 had sequelae from fractures of the scaphoid; and five had sequelae from Kienbock's disease. The cases were evaluated using the visual analogue scale (VAS), the muscle strength test, the Jebsen–Taylor functional test and the Buck-Gramcko test.ResultsIt was observed that there were no significant differences at the level of 5%, in the variables of grip strength, VAS, Jebsen–Taylor functional test or Buck-Gramcko/Lohmann test, between the pathological conditions.ConclusionTotal arthrodesis of the wrist using a plate in the dorsal region was shown to be a safe and efficient technique for patients with different types of pathological arthrosis of the wrist, since it did not cause any important functional incapacity and brought great pain relief

Organogênese in vitro como método eficiente para a propagação de Dalbergia nigra

The objective of this work was to establish an efficient protocol for the in vitro organogenesis of Dalbergia nigra. For this purpose, 30-day-old seedlings were sectioned at their cotyledonary nodes and nodal segments. These materials were cultivated in a medium with different combinations of the 6-benzylaminopurine and thidiazuron cytokinins. After 60 days in a growth chamber set at 27°C and a 16-hour photoperiod, growth characteristics were analyzed. Explants from the cotyledonary nodes show a greater morphogenetic potential, regardless of the addition of cytokinins. Cotyledonary nodes in the medium supplemented with 2.22 µmol L-1 BAP show the best combination for the in vitro propagation of D. nigra.O objetivo deste trabalho foi estabelecer um protocolo eficiente para a organogênese in vitro de Dalbergia nigra. Para isso, plântulas com 30 dias de idade foram seccionadas em seus nós cotiledonares e segmentos nodais. Esses materiais foram cultivados em meio com diferentes combinações das citocininas 6-benzilaminopurina e tidiazuron. Após 60 dias em sala de crescimento mantida a 27°C e submetida a fotoperíodo de 16 horas, foram analisadas as características de crescimento. Explantes dos nós cotiledonares apresentam maior potencial morfogenético, independentemente da adição de citocininas. Nós cotiledonares em meio suplementado com 2.22 µmol L-1 de BAP são a melhor combinação para a propagação in vitro de D. nigra

Perspectivas da Mauritia flexuosa como potencial agente anti-hipertensivo / Perspectives of Mauritia flexuosa as a potential anti-hypertensive agent

INTRODUÇÃO: As doenças cardiovasculares representam desafio de saúde pública, destacando-se a hipertensão arterial sistêmica (HAS), devido ao alto índice de incidência populacional. O buriti (Mauritia flexuosa (MF)) é uma palmeira, encontrada nas regiões norte, nordeste e centro oeste, abundante em carotenoides e polifenóis, sendo empregado, farmacologicamente, como agente cicatrizante e antibacteriano. OBJETIVO: Investigar as perspectivas da MF como potencial agente anti-hipertensivo. METODOLOGIA: Trata-se de uma revisão de literatura, realizada de dezembro/2021 a fevereiro/2022 através dos bancos de dados on-line: PubMed, Scielo e Lilacs, utilizando os descritores: Mauritia flexuosa, buriti, sistema cardiovascular e hipertensão, nas línguas inglesa e portuguesa. Os artigos selecionados atendem ao período de 2008 a 2016, abordando-se a relação da MF com o sistema cardiovascular (SCV). Os dados foram organizados e expressos em tabela, utilizando-se o programa Excel®. RESULTADOS: De 46 artigos encontrados, 6 foram selecionados. Nenhum estudo emprega o buriti como agente hipotensor e anti-hipertensivo. Entretanto, constatou-se que a MF é rica em substâncias químicas com potencial antioxidante, antitrombótica e anti-plaquetária, tais como o ß-caroteno e ácidos graxos. CONCLUSÃO: Há escassez de estudos acerca da ação da MF sobre o SCV. Contudo, os constituintes químicos da MF representam potente perspectiva anti-hipertensiva, necessitando estudos farmacológicos do seu papel na fisiopatologia da HAS

Formação e Capacitação de Treinadores de Basquetebol em Cadeira de Rodas do Estado de Goiás

Este estudo objetivou identificar e descrever a formação e capacitação dos treinadores de oito equipes de basquetebol em cadeira de rodas filiadas à Federação Goiana de Basquetebol em Cadeira de Rodas. A metodologia baseou-se numa pesquisa descritivoexploratória de caráter qualitativo. Para a coleta de dados utilizou-se a técnica da inquirição por meio da aplicação de uma entrevistaestruturada. Para a análise dos dados utilizou-se a técnica de análise de conteúdo. Os dados obtidos apontam para uma formação precária destes profissionais para atuar com o esporte adaptado e de forma mais específica com as pessoas com deficiência física
