    Rice is an important component of farming in Indonesia, because it is a staplecrop that should be available at all times. Therefore, rice production must be improvedboth intensive and extension. One of the increase in rice yield can be done by adjustingthe cropping system include the SRI (The System of Rice Intensification) . But rice withSRI method resulted weeds growth, because the SRI system, conditioned water withoutflooded. The object of the experiment was to study the characteristics of weeds and yieldcomponents of rice (Oryza sativa L.) on the SRI paddy cultivation due to Presence ofWeed. The design of experiment was a Randomized Block Design with eight treatmentand replicated 3 times. Eight treatments were as follows : A = With weeds to harvest, B =With weeds until the age of 21 days after planting (DAP), C = With weeds until the ageof 42 DAP, D = With weeds until the age of 63 DAP, E = weeds free until the age of 21DAP , F = weeds free until the age of 42 DAP, G = weeds free until the age of 63 DAP,H = weeds free until harvest. The results of this experiment showed that : There arenine species of weeds, which consists of seven dominant species, the 3 species ofbroadleaf groups, two species of grass and two species of seedges groups, Yieldcomponents of paddy crop in the SRI system is influenced by the presence of a weed in aplantation, so that weeding will be done on SRI's cropping system. Control of weeds incropping systems SRI, should be done at the right time, at least until the age of the plant42 days after planting

    Penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kombinasi dosis pupuk NPK (14:14:17) dan mineral  pembenah  tanah terhadap  pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman tembakau (Nicotianatabacum L.) kultivar Sano telah dilaksanakan di Kebun Penelitian  Faperta UNIBBA  Sipatahunan, Kecamatan Baleendah, Kabupaten Bandung, Jawa Barat, dengan ketinggian tempat 580 meter di atas permukaan laut, menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 9 perlakuan dan 3 kali ulangan .Perlakuan terdiri dari : A = 16 g/tan  NPK Berlian, B = 16 g/tan NPK + 6 g/tan Azomite,  C =  16 g/tan NPK + 4 g/tan Azomite,  D =  16 g/tan NPK + 16 g/tan Zeolit,  E =  16 g/tan NPK + 12 g/tan Zeolit, F =  11,2 g/tan NPK  + 6 g/tan Azomite, G. = 11,2 g/tan NPK + 4 g/tan Azomite, H =  11,2 g/tan NPK + 16 g/tan Zeolite, dan I =  11,2 g/tan NPK + 12 g/tan Zeolit . Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi pemupukan 11,2 g/tan NPK + 6 g/tan  Azomite  memberikan pengaruh lebih baik terhadap  tinggi batang,  jumlah daun, dan bobot kering akar, namun tidak memberikan pengaruh yang nyata terhadap hasil tanaman (bobot krosok). Kata kunci : Zeolit, Azomite, Pupuk NPK , Tembakau.

    Pertumbuhan dan Hasil Bawang Daun (Allium fistulosum L.) Varietas Linda Akibat Pemberian Pupuk Kandang Ayam dan Pupuk Urea

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kombinasi pupuk kandang ayam dan pupuk urea terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil bawang daun. Penelitian dilaksanakan di kampung Legokkaso Desa Cinanggela Kecamatan Pacet Kabupaten Bandung Provinsi Jawa Barat. dengan jenis tanah Latosol dengan pH 5,7, terletak pada ketinggian 1.200 m di atas permukaan laut. Curah hujan 2.205 mm/tahun termasuk curah hujan tipe C3 (Oldeman, 1979). Percobaan dilaksanakan dari bulan Maret sampai dengan bulan Mei 2014. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) yang terdiri dari 6 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan kombinasi pupuk kandang ayam dan pupuk urea adalah sebagai berikut: A (0g+2,2g), B (12g+2,0g), C (14g+1,8g), D (16g+1,6g), E (18g+1,4g), F (20g+0g).Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa pemberian dosis 16 g pupuk kandang ayam dan 1,6 g pupuk urea memberikan pengaruh yang lebih baik terhadap pertumbuhan tinggi tanaman, jumlah anakan,  dan hasil per tanaman bawang daun varietas Linda. This study aimed to determine the effect of chicken manure and urea dosage combination on the growth and yield of spring onions. The experiment was conducted in the Legokkaso Residential, Cinanggela Village, Pacet Subdistrict, Bandung Regency, of West Java Province. The soil was Latosol with pH 5.7, located at an altitude of 1,200 m above sea level. Rainfall was 2.205 mm/years including precipitation C3 type (Oldeman, 1979). The experiment was conducted from March to May 2014. The research method used was randomized block design method (RBD) consisting of 6 treatments and 4 replications. The treatment was combination of chicken manure and urea as follows: A (0g + 2,2g), B (12g + 2,0g), C (14g + 1,8g), D (16g + 1,6g), E (18g + 1,4g), F (20g + 0g). The result showed that dosage 16g of chicken manure and 1.6 g urea gave a better effect on the growth of plant height, number of tillers, yield of plant

    Komposisi Gulma pada Berbagai Jarak Tanam Padi Secara IPAT–BO dan Konvensional

    Penelitian yang bertujuan mempelajari komposisi gulma tanaman padi sawah pada sistem bertanam secara IPAT-BO dan konvensional  telah dilaksanakan pada bulan April 2013 sampai bulan Juli 2013 di Kelompok Tani Sadang Mukti, Kampung Sadang Sari, Kabupaten Bandung Jawa Barat yang terletak pada ketinggian 668 m di atas permukaan laut. Penelitian menggunakan metode eksperimen, dengan Rancangan Petak Terpisah, 3 kali ulangan, sebagai petak utama  yaitu faktor metode pengairan (M), yang terdiri dari pengairan secara IPAT-BO dan konvensional, sedangkan anak petak adalah jarak tanam (J), yang terdiri dari : 30 x 35 cm, 30 x 25 cm, 35 x 35 cm,dan 30 x 30 cm. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi interaksi antara metode pengairan dan jarak tanam terhadap nilai jumlah dominasi gulma, dan bobot kering gulma.Gulma yang dominan pada perlakuan IPAT-BO lebih banyak dibanding perlakuan konvensional, sedangkan bobot kering gulma terberat terjadi pada metode IPAT-BO dengan jarak tanam 35 cm x 35 cm. The research was aimed to assess the effect of different plant spacing to weed composition and lowland rice yield in SOBARI and conventional irrigation methods. The experiment had been conducted in Farmers Groups Sadang Mukti, Sadang Sari Village, Bandung District, West Java at 668 m above sea level, from April 2013 to July 2013. It was arranged in split plot design, consisted of two factor, irrigation methods factor (M) as main plot, namely: irrigation methods in SOBARI (m1) and conventional (m2),subplot was plant spacing factor (J), which consisted of four levels of factors, namely: 30 x 35 cm, 30 x 25 cm, 35 x 35 cm, and 30 x 30 cm. The results showed that there was interaction between irrigation method and plant spacing on the value of domination number of weeds, and weed dry weight. Dominantweeds in SOBARI method were more than conventional treatment, weed dry weight in SOBARI method with spacing of 35 cm x 35 cm had greater than the other treatments

    Pertumbuhan Setek Sambung Kina (Cinchona sp.) Klon QRC Akibat Perbedaan Panjang Setek Batang Atas

    Penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mempelajari pengaruh variasi panjang setek terhadap  pertumbuhan setek sambung kina (Cinchona sp) klon QRC telah dilaksanakan di kebun percobaan Pusat Penelitian Teh dan Kina (PPTK) Gambung, Kabupaten Bandung, dengan ketinggian kurang lebih 1300 meter di atas permukaan laut, jenis tanah Andisol, tipe iklim B menurut klasifikasi Schmidt dan Fergusson (1951) dengan curah hujan rata-rata antara 2000 - 3000 mm per tahun dan suhu rata-rata 13,5oC- 21,1oC.  Kelembaban relatif antara 68% sampai 97%. Menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 5 perlakuan dan diulang lima kali. Jumlah tanaman per plot adalah 50 tanaman: perlakuan panjang setek terdiri dari  5 cm,  7 cm,  9 cm, 11 cm, dan 13 cm. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Panjang setek sambung atas yang berbeda memberikan pengaruh yang berbeda terhadap persentase setek hidup, panjang setek, jumlah daun, jumlah akar dan panjang akar bibit kina di pembibitan. Penggunaan setek sambung dengan panjang 7 cm,  memberikan pengaruh yang paling baik terhadap pertumbuhan bibit sambung kina (Cinchona ledgeriana Moens) di pembibitan yang ditunjukkan oleh persentase hidup, jumlah daun, tinggi bibit dan jumlah akar yang lebih tinggi dibanding perlakuan yang lain. The objective of this research was to evaluate the effect of variation in the length of cuttings on the growth of grafted cutting of cinchona (Cinchona  Sp. ) clone QRC. The research was conducted in Gambung Experimental Garden, Research Institute for Tea and Cinchona, Bandung at 1,300 m above sea level, Andisol soil type with type B of climate according to the classification of Schmidt and Fergusson (1951), average of rainfall between 2,000 mm – 3,000 mm per year, average temperature of 13,5oC – 21,1oC, and relative humidity of 68% – 97%. The research used randomized block design (RBD) with five treatments and five replications. The treatment was length of cutting was consisted of 5, 7, 9, 11, and 13 cm. The result showed that the different length gave a different effect on the percentage of live grafted cutting, length of grafted cutting, number of leaves, number of root as well as length of root of seedling in  nursery. The used of 7 cm of cutting gave the best effect on the growth of grafted cinchona seedling in nursery indicated by the percentage of live seedling which was better than other treatments

    Effect of Difference Weed Control Methods to Yield of Lowland Rice in the SOBARI

    AbstractWeed competition will reduce rice yield. The research aimed to study the effect of difference weed control methods on rice yield in SOBARI. It has been conducted from October 2013 until February 2014, using Randomized Block design with five treatments (A = manual weeding, B = unweed control, C = herbicide containing Penoxulam + Cyhalofop-butyl, D = Bispyribac sodium, and E = 2, 4 D + Methyl metsulfuron). The results showed that weed control using herbicides containing Bispyribac sodium and 2.4 D + Methyl metsulfuron showed similar results as manual weed control on rice yield
