It is essential to adopt new techniques and management practices as integrated nutrient management. The combined use of organic, inorganic manures and bio-fertilizer not only increases the crop yield but also improves the physical, Chemical and biological properties of soil. As enhance these properties, we can enhance the growth rate at flowering and nodule weight of plant, Phaseolus vulgaris. It did positive impact on quality and yield of Rajama. To study this, nine treatments, three replications, RBD design and Dibbling sowing method was adopted. The growth and yield attributes i.e. height, number of branches plant-1, Number of pods plant-1, number of grains pod-1 were recorded highest when only inorganic fertilizers @ 150% RDF was applied and these plant characters were recorded lowest when only vermicompost was applied. Biomass production at flowering, grain and straw yield were highest due to application of 150% RDF of NPK through inorganic fertilizers. The lowest biomass production at flowering was recorded where 2.5 t vermicompost at sowing and 50 % N through urea at flowering were applied. The lowest grain yield and straw yield was recorded when only vermicompost @ 5 tonnes ha-1 was applied. Fresh weights of nodules were negligible

The Evaluation of Nickel Toxicty on Lamellidens marginalis

The study deals with calculation of LC10 and LC50 values for 24 and 96 hours. In present study, the toxicity of Nickel Chloride on Lamellidens marginalis showed that with increasing time and concentration, mortality rate increase. From this investigation, the exact cause of their death is not known but it is proved that nickel chloride brings some changes in physiochemical properties of water and it affects the metabolic rate severally leading to the death of animals. The toxicity study provides the level of safe concentration of toxicant

Get PDF
Background: The 5 years since the publication of the first International Consensus Statement on Allergy and Rhinology: Rhinosinusitis (ICAR‐RS) has witnessed foundational progress in our understanding and treatment of rhinologic disease. These advances are reflected within the more than 40 new topics covered within the ICAR‐RS‐2021 as well as updates to the original 140 topics. This executive summary consolidates the evidence‐based findings of the document. Methods: ICAR‐RS presents over 180 topics in the forms of evidence‐based reviews with recommendations (EBRRs), evidence‐based reviews, and literature reviews. The highest grade structured recommendations of the EBRR sections are summarized in this executive summary. Results: ICAR‐RS‐2021 covers 22 topics regarding the medical management of RS, which are grade A/B and are presented in the executive summary. Additionally, 4 topics regarding the surgical management of RS are grade A/B and are presented in the executive summary. Finally, a comprehensive evidence‐based management algorithm is provided. Conclusion: This ICAR‐RS‐2021 executive summary provides a compilation of the evidence‐based recommendations for medical and surgical treatment of the most common forms of RS

Effect of nickel induced respiratory alterations in fresh water bivalve, lammellidens marginalis

The rate of oxygen consumption was measured in nickel chloride treated bivalve for 15 and 30 days and compared to the levels of controlled bivalves. The study shows that the average oxygen consumption rate was decreased in treated as compared to controlled bivalves

Cholesterol biotransformation in monophasic systems by solvent tolerant Bacillus subtilis AF 333249

389-393New developments in biotechnology are focused on new products or the introduction of new processes as a substitute to the conventional way, or improvements in performance of existing biotechnological applications. The examples of application of non-conventional media are organic solvents, supercritical solvents or aqueous two phases systems. Steroid biotransformation is a multi million-dollar industry and the pharmaceutical uses of steroids are numerous. Steroids like cholesterol are completely soluble in some organic solvents like benzene, toluene and butanol. Biphasic systems wherein the cells are present in the aqueous phase and steroids dissolved in the organic phase is considered an ideal set-up. The major problem here is the fact that most bacteria and their enzymes are inactivated or destroyed in the presence of these toxic organic solvents, also it is necessary that the microbes contain relevant enzymes in sufficient amounts and in high specific activities, even in the presence of the generally destructive apolar phase. This can be very well accomplished by using organic solvent tolerant bacteria having desired enzyme activities. One such application is being discussed

This study done with the observations of biochemical changes in bimolecular contents of, DNA, RNA, protein and collagen after chronic exposure (at 15 and 30days) to nickel chloride (0.227ppm, equivalent to the LC50/10 of 96 hours exposure) from various tissues such as gill, foot, digestive gland and whole body of control and experimental bivalves, Lamellidens mrginalis. It was observed that protein, collagen, DNA and RNA were dramatically decreased in treated bivalves as compeered to controlled bivalves

Automatic Dish Antenna Positioning System

Dish antenna positioning is very important for getting broadcast signals from a satellite. If the dish position is adjusted manually, it becomes difficult to align it at the best possible position. In order to achieve the best possible position of the dish we can rotate the dish using remote operation and automatically . The main aim of this project is to control a dish position automatically, which is capable of receiving the standard broadcast signals from the satellite. According to maximum signal strength dish will rotate automatically. It will rotate horizontal as well as vertical direction. So in order to overcome the difficulty of adjusting manually, this proposed system helps in adjusting the position of the dish through an Android application device or bluetooth. Android application may be achieved by any smart- phone/Tablet etc.General Terms: Microcontroller, power mete

A simple, rapid, accurate, and sensitive method was developed for quantitative analysis of Brexpiprazole in bulk dosage form using reverse phase high-performance liquid chromatography with UV detection. The chromatography separation was achieved on Kromasil -C18, (250 mm × 4.6 mm i.d., 5 ÎŒm particle size), at column temperature 25°C ± 2, in the isocratic mobile phase mode using acetonitrile 5% ortho-phosphoric acid: water (60:40 v/v) at a flow rate of 1.0 mL/min. The determination was performed using waters HPLC with UV detector set at 216 nm. Samples were prepared with diluent methanol, and the volume injected was 20 ÎŒL. The retention time for brexpiprazole was 3.89 min. The analytical curve was linear (r2=0.99994) over a wide concentration range (0.51–7.50 ÎŒg/mL). The presence of components of the bulk did not interfere in the results of the analysis. The method showed adequate precision with a relative standard deviation <2%

WASTE-HEAT ENERGY OF IC ENGINE FOR THERMOELECTRIC POWER GENERATION

No full text
Energy conservation is the need of today’s globalised world. Initiatives to save the resources were making it possible to improve the performance of the present systems. The combustion engines complies the losses in the form of the heat. This generated heat is probably the waste energy. Authors have presented the approach of thermoelectric generation from the heatgenerated from the IC engines. In coming future we are expecting almost all the vehicles with this great feature, i.e. an initiative towards saving the energy. Authors implemented the same concept of electricity generation in this paper. Use of the thermoelectric generator is the basis for the study carried out
