International audienceWAREHOUSE IS ONE OF THE AREAS THAT LEAD TO GREATS AMOUNTS OF COSTS TO THE RETAIL SECTOR. THAT BEING SAID, THEIR PROCESSES MUST BE CONSTANTLY OBSERVED TO REDUCE INEFFECTIVE ACTIVITIES. SO, THIS ARTICLE AIMS TO MAP THE PROCESSES OF STORAGE OFF A DISTRIBUTION CENTER SUPERMARKET IN FORTALEZA/ CE AND PROPOSED IMPROVEMENTS THROUGH THE USE OR BUSINESS PROCESS MODELER NOTATION (BPMN). IN ORDER TO DO SO, BIBLIOGRAPHIC RESEARCH WAS CONDUCTED AND PROCESSES OF A CD IN FORTALEZA WERE MAPPED. FAILURES IN STOCKAGE AND PRODUCT PICKING WERE OBSERVED. TO SOLVE THOSE ISSUES, NEW PROCESSES FLOWS WERE GENERATED AND THE MOST LIKELY CHANGES WERE POINTED OUT TO BE IMPLEMENTED WITH USE OF TECHNOLOGY.A ARMAZENAGEM É UMA DAS ÁREAS QUE MAIS ACARRETAM CUSTOS PARA O SETOR VAREJISTA, DEVENDO SEUS PROCESSOS SEREMCONSTANTEMENTE OBSERVADOS PARA A REDUÇÃO DE ATIVIDADES DESNECESSÁRIAS. DESTA FORMA, O PRESENTE ARTIGO PRETENDE MAPEAR OS PROCESSOS DE ARMAZENAGEM DE UM CENTRO DE DISTRIBUIÇÃO DE SUPERMERCADO EM FORTALEZA/CE E PROPOR MELHORIAS, ATRAVÉS DO USO BUSINESS PROCESS MODELER NOTATION OU MODELAGEM DE PROCESSOS DE NEGÓCIO (BPMN). PARA TAL, FOI LEVANTADO PESQUISA BIBLIOGRÁFICA E MAPEADO OS PROCESSOS DE UM CD EM FORTALEZA. PODE-SE OBSERVAR FALHAS NA ESTOCAGEM E NA SEPARAÇÃO DE PRODUTOS. PARA SOLUCIONAR ESTES PROBLEMAS, FORAM ELABORADOS NOVOS FLUXOS DE PROCESSOS E APONTADOS POSSÍVEIS MUDANÇAS A SEREM IMPLANTADAS COM A UTILIZAÇÃO DA TECNOLOGI

Emergence and deployment of interorganizational knowledge management in cooperatives : the case of a cooperative network through Brazil
With fast technological advances, new consumer demands, companies are faced with an environment of perpetual changes. In this context, the purpose of this doctoral dissertation is to participate in the understanding of interorganizational knowledge management (IKM) in the network formed by the members of a cooperative and their partners, that is, the cooperative network (CN). Through the prism of knowledge-based view (KBV) and social capital (SC), the work explores the characteristics of SC affecting the emergence and deployment of an IKM in the Brazilian cooperative environment. We firstly conducted a literature review which enabled to build a theorical research model. Secondarily, through an empirical study of the field, we enrich the model with new proposals resulting initially from interviews with experts, researchers and professionals in the cooperative environment; then, interviews with members of the Brazilian CN Justa Trama, selected for its extra-regional development across the country. Among the results, we found that IKM is spontaneously practiced in CN. The creation and exchange of knowledge are commonly practiced there, but mainly through interpersonal relationships, and the capitalization of knowledge is only partially achieved. Cooperative principles, and therefore their organizational specificity, play an essential role for the research and dissemination of knowledge, and so, foster their SC which promotes the creation, exchange and use of knowledge
Maturity analysis method of storage process in distribution centers from Fortaleza-CE’s supermarkets: a multicase study
Logistics and processes, especially storage, are presented as one of the ways the company has to reduce
costs and add value to stakeholders. This article aims to develop a method for analyzing maturity to
evaluate the storage process at Distribution Centers (DC) in Fortaleza / CE. Maturity is defined as
how involved the DC is in a particular area or process. Through this analysis, the distribution center
can leverage strengths and resolve or mitigate weaknesses. To this end, attributes, dimensions and
practices for infrastructure organization, people and technology, as well as internal and external interfaces
were established. The instrument was also developed for diagnosing the DC. For elaborating
the method, library research and validation were performed with professional logistics. The tool was
applied to distribution centers and the heterogeneity of the maturity of Fortaleza DCs was observed

12,500+ and counting: biodiversity of the Brazilian Pampa
Knowledge on biodiversity is fundamental for conservation strategies. The Brazilian Pampa region, located in subtropical southern Brazil, is neglected in terms of conservation, and knowledge of its biodiversity is fragmented. We aim to answer the question: how many, and which, species occur in the Brazilian Pampa? In a collaborative effort, we built species lists for plants, animals, bacteria, and fungi that occur in the Brazilian Pampa. We included information on distribution patterns, main habitat types, and conservation status. Our study resulted in referenced lists totaling 12,503 species (12,854 taxa, when considering infraspecific taxonomic categories [or units]). Vascular plants amount to 3,642 species (including 165 Pteridophytes), while algae have 2,046 species (2,378 taxa) and bryophytes 316 species (318 taxa). Fungi (incl. lichenized fungi) contains 1,141 species (1,144 taxa). Animals total 5,358 species (5,372 taxa). Among the latter, vertebrates comprise 1,136 species, while invertebrates are represented by 4,222 species. Our data indicate that, according to current knowledge, the Pampa holds approximately 9% of the Brazilian biodiversity in an area of little more than 2% of Brazil’s total land. The proportion of species restricted to the Brazilian Pampa is low (with few groups as exceptions), as it is part of a larger grassland ecoregion and in a transitional climatic setting. Our study yielded considerably higher species numbers than previously known for many species groups; for some, it provides the first published compilation. Further efforts are needed to increase knowledge in the Pampa and other regions of Brazil. Considering the strategic importance of biodiversity and its conservation, appropriate government policies are needed to fund studies on biodiversity, create accessible and constantly updated biodiversity databases, and consider biodiversity in school curricula and other outreach activities
