Zakah Compliance Among Owners' Mutual Funds in Saudi Arabia

This study has been done to examine the relationship between attitude and subjective norms and zakah compliance intention among owners’ of mutual funds in Saudi Arabia by using the Theory of Reasoned Action (TRA). One hundred and seventy three (173) completed questionnaires were returned that measured respondents' attitude (ATT) towards zakah on mutual funds, subjective norm (SN) about zakah on mutual funds, and intention (ITT) to pay zakah on mutual funds. A study on Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) practices in oil and gas industry / Alia Abdullah Saleh, Al-Hafzan Abdullah Halim and Anas Zafirol Abdullah Halim

The recent development of oil and gas industry has seen the aggressive and rigorous activities by the organizations directly and indirectly involved in exploration and production of oil and gas. Realizing the importance of risk management of which, once were the secondary activities to the organizations in Malaysia, this dissertation titled "Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Practices in Oil and Gas Industry" is documented. This first objective of doing this research is to identify the ERM practices in oil and gas industry in particular to PETRONAS Berhad and CNPE Services Sdn Bhd as the case studies. The second objective is to analyze the opinion from personnel on ERM implementation within the oil and gas organization. Analysis for the research comprises of comparative and descriptive approach as well as qualitative analysis which are based on case studies and questionnaire-guided interview. The findings revealed that ERM practices is systematically established, implemented and enforced as part of risk management tool in oil and gas industry in Malaysia. In addition, the opinions gathered from respondents in oil and gas industry shows that ERM practices and implementation are very encouraging. The information is obtained from oil and gas a personnel working in multiple disciplines within the organization comprises of oil and gas operators, consulting companies and service providers, where the results were then thoroughly analyzed. From the observations and findings, the author anticipate that this research would provide better perception to the readers on the scenario of ERM practices within oil and gas industry and the extent of risk management awareness in Malaysia. It is suggested that an in-depth research on the ERM practices are undertaken within the oil and gas industry or related industry to establish the degree of effectiveness and as a benchmark for adoption by the other industries

An analysis of conceptual metaphor used in Sky Sports News of FIFA World Cup 2022

ENGLISH: This research examines the metaphors used in Sky Sports News articles related to the 2022 FIFA World Cup. The researcher specifically focused on articles published on November 20 and 21, 2022. This study aims to achieve two objectives: firstly, to identify the meaning of the types of metaphorical concepts used in these sports news articles and secondly to determine the use of metaphorical concepts in Sky Sports News stories about the 2022 FIFA World Cup. The theoretical framework for this analysis is based on Lakoff and Johnson's (1980) theory of metaphor. The researcher used a qualitative descriptive method, using an explanatory technique. The findings of this study consisted of 37 data extracted from three articles, which revealed the existence of three types of metaphorical concepts: structural metaphors, ontological metaphors, and orientational metaphors. In terms of specific examples, the study identified 5 examples of structural metaphors, 15 examples of ontological metaphors, and 17 examples of orientational metaphors. The results of the analysis show that orientational metaphors are frequently used in Sky Sports News articles about the 2022 FIFA World Cup. In this study, the researcher can help readers that there are types of conceptual metaphors in Sky Sports news. The researcher suggests investigating conceptual metaphors in news articles that cover a wide variety of subjects, given the constantly updated news content. In addition, future researchers can expand their research on metaphors by including other media, such as videos or podcasts. In addition, the researcher encourages future researchers to explore conceptual metaphors using other theories. INDONESIA: Penelitian ini meneliti metafora yang digunakan dalam artikel-artikel Sky Sports News yang terkait dengan Piala Dunia FIFA 2022. Peneliti secara khusus berfokus pada artikel yang diterbitkan pada tanggal 20 dan 21 November 2022. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencapai dua tujuan: pertama, untuk mengidentifikasi makna didalam jenis-jenis konsep metafora yang digunakan dalam artikel-artikel berita olahraga ini dan kedua untuk mengetahui penggunaan konsep-konsep metafora dalam berita Sky Sports News tentang Piala Dunia FIFA 2022. Kerangka teori untuk analisis ini didasarkan pada teori metafora Lakoff dan Johnson (1980). Peneliti menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, dengan menggunakan teknik eksplanasi. Temuan dari penelitian ini terdiri dari 37 data yang diekstrak dari tiga artikel, yang mengungkapkan adanya tiga jenis konsep metafora: metafora struktural, metafora ontologis, dan metafora orientasi. Dalam hal contoh spesifik, penelitian ini mengidentifikasi 5 contoh metafora struktural, 15 contoh metafora ontologis, dan 17 contoh metafora orientasi. Hasil dari analisis menunjukkan bahwa metafora orientasi sering digunakan dalam artikel Sky Sports News tentang Piala Dunia FIFA 2022. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti dapat membantu pembaca bahwa terdapat jenis-jenis metafora konseptual dalam berita Sky Sports. Peneliti menyarankan untuk menyelidiki metafora konseptual dalam artikel berita yang mencakup berbagai macam subjek, mengingat konten berita yang terus diperbarui. Selain itu, peneliti selanjutnya dapat memperluas penelitian mereka tentang metafora dengan memasukkan media lain, seperti video atau podcast. Selain itu, peneliti mendorong peneliti selanjutnya untuk mengeksplorasi metafora konseptual dengan menggunakan teori-teori lain. ANALISIS MUTU KIMIA BIJI KAKAO (Theobroma cacao L.) DENGAN LAMA PENGERINGAN YANG BERBEDA

ANALISIS MUTU KIMIA BIJI KAKAO (Theobroma cacao L.) DENGAN LAMA PENGERINGAN YANG BERBEDA Anas Sulaiman Abdullah (11582103800) Di bawah bimbingan Tahrir Aulawi dan Zulfahmi INTISARI Penanganan pasca panen biji kakao sangat menentukan mutu biji kakao. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan lama waktu pengeringan oven terbaik terhadap mutu biji kakao. Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan pada bulan Febuari-Maret 2020 di Laboratorium Teknologi Hasil Pertanian Universitas Riau. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) non faktorial dengan 5 taraf perlakuan yaitu, 5 jam, 7 jam, 9 jam, 11 jam dan 13 jam. Hasil penelitian menunjukan perlakuan terbaik biji kakao diperoleh pada lama pengeringan 13 jam. Perlakuan tersebut diperoleh biji kakao dengan karakteristik rendemen kadar lemak 50,97%, pH 5,77, kadar protein 14,44%, kadar abu 3,86% dan kadar air 3,87% dan semakin menurun kandungan biji kakao pada parameter kadar air dan kadar abu. Perlakuan lama pengeringan berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap parameter kimia kadar lemak, pH, kadar protein dan kadar abu. Kata kunci : kakao, mutu kimia, waktu pengeringan

PENERAPAN MESIN PEMECAH BIJI JAGUNG UNTUK PAKAN TERNAK AYAM DI BORISALLO GOWA

Desa Borisallo merupakan salah satu desa penghasil jagung di Kabupaten Gowa, Namun, di Desa Borisallo, masyarakat belum memiliki alat pemecah biji jagung untuk pakan ternak ayam. Rata-rata mereka masih menggunakan alat penumbuk seperti lesung, sehingga tidak efisien dan memakan waktu lama. Berdasarkan kondisi ini, maka tujuan pelaksanaan kegiatan PKM yaitu memberikan pengenalan dan pelatihan kepada mitra tentang pembuatan alat pemecah biji jagung untuk pakan ternak ayam serta memotivasi dalam kewirausahaan. Metode yang digunakan yakni metode ceramah dan metode partisipatif yang bersifat eksperimen dan demonstrasi tentang pengenalan alat dan bahan, cara pembuatan,  hingga pengoperasian alat pemecah biji jagung untuk pakan ternak ayam. Kemudian, memberikan motivasi jiwa kewirausahaan untuk untuk mengembangkan dan menggunakan alat tersebut pada industri rumah tangga. Hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan PKM yang dilaksanakan di halaman kantor Desa Borisallo Kecamatan Parangloe Kabupaten Gowa, secara keseluruhan terlaksana dengan baik. Respon serta partisipasi mitra Dampang Ujungloe cukup baik. Bahkan, ikut ambil bagian dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan mulai dari sosialisasi, pelatihan, hingga demonstrasi uji coba alat. Dalam pelaksanaan uji coba, alat pemecah biji jagung ini berfungsi dengan baik. Alat bekerja secara otomatis memecahkan jagung yang telah dipipil menjadi ukuran lebih kecil, yang ditujukan untuk pakan ternak ayam, termasuk pada ayam yang berusia di atas 1 bulan. Berdasarkan kapasitas mesin, maka hasil pemecahan biji jagung menghasilkan pakan ternak ayam sebesar 100 kg/jam. Kemudian, tingkat pengetahuan tentang kewirausahaan juga semakin baik
