    Due to students’ problems and difficulties to learn English text, it is the teachers’ job to choose a suitable method in teaching reading comprehension. Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) is one method that is considered appropriate in making the students feel happy and enjoy their learning. When they are taught by using an enjoyable method, they will be able to enrich their reading comprehension easily and, in turn, they are expected to be able to master reading comprehension well. The problem and difficulties in learning reading comprehension were faced by the students at MTs Aswaja Tunggangri Kalidawir, and, thus, a study aimed at knowing the effectiveness of student team achievement division (STAD) technique in teaching reading comprehension was conducted in this school. The research design of this research was Pre-experimental design. The research finding in this research showed the difference between the averages of students’ score reading comprehension when they were taught without student team achievement division (STAD) technique (72,55 %) and when they were taught using student team achievement division (STAD) technique (77,6 %). Statistical calculation using T-test showed that the score of T count (10.254) was greater than that of T table (1.725) with significant level 5 % and degree of freedom of 32. It was concluded that student team achievement division (STAD) technique is an effective method in teaching reading comprehension to junior high school, especially for eight grade at MTs Aswaja Tunggangri Kalidawir

    ABSTRACT   The aim of this research is design a machine for corn sheller which the results canbe used as raw material for animal feed, especially poultry. The results of thedesign the corn shellerusing a power drive motor AC electric one phase 3/4 Hp. The main components of the engine used are frames, hoppers, crushing chambers,filters, output lines, shafts and bearings. Based on the results of the machine worktest, the engine capacity is 13.13 kg / hour with the results of the analysis ofgranules held by mesh 10 is 70.56%, retained by mesh 18 is 13.20% and passmesh sieve is 16.24%. The material used in this study was dry corn grains with amoisture content of 10.5%. The resulting particle grain size is 2 mm, 1 mm and inthe form granules smooth, the granules are already very good for poultry feed rawmaterials. The results of the economic analysis of the machine designed wereobtained that the cost needed to break 1 kg of dry corn grains was Rp. 2361.ABSTRAK   Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah merancang mesin untuk pemipil jagung yang hasilnya dapat digunakan sebagai bahan baku pakan ternak, terutama unggas. Hasil perancangan cangkang jagung melanjutkan power drive motor listrik AC satu fase 3/4 Hp. Komponen utama mesin adalah rangka, hopper, ruang penghancur, filter, saluran keluaran, poros, dan bantalan. Berdasarkan hasil uji kerja mesin, kapasitas mesin adalah 13.13 kg / jam dengan hasil analisis butiran dipegang oleh mesh 10 adalah 70.56%, ditahan oleh mesh 18 adalah 13.20% dan lulus saringan mesh adalah 16.24%. Bahan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah biji jagung kering dengan kadar air 10.5%. Ukuran butiran partikel yang dihasilkan adalah 2 mm, 1 mm dan dalam bentuk butiran halus, butiran sudah sangat baik untuk bahan baku pakan unggas. Hasil analisis ekonomi dari mesin yang dirancang diperoleh bahwa biaya yang diperlukan untuk memecahkan 1 kg biji jagung kering adalah Rp. 2361

    Analysis of students' generic science skills at Muhammadiyah 22 Surakarta Elementary School.

    Science learning in elementary schools is expected to provide students with an understanding of scientific terms through experiments that can provide generic science skills. But this is still rarely done at the elementary school level. This study aims to analyze the science generic skills of elementary school students as an effort by the teacher to create learning that is able to make students understand and remember scientific terms. This study is qualitative approach. Sources of data in this study were obtained from class teachers and fifth grade students at Elementary School Muhammadiyah 22 Surakarta. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. Test the validity of the data using the credibility test and source triangulation. Data analysis techniques consist of data collection, data presentation, drawing conclusions, and verification. The results showed that students' generic science skills in science learning obtained a percentage of 75%. The highest score is in the aspect of symbolic language (25%) shown by the activities of students mentioning symbols, symbols and scientific terms in presentations related to the water cycle process. The lowest score 0% absence of student activities. The research contribution is teachers must teach science through experimental activities of measuring rainfall, or similar experiments that are adapted to the topic of the material so that aspects of generic science skills can be developed in a more balanced way in each aspect so as to be able to provide more comprehensive science skills and knowledge in learners

    The Qur’an has a variety of language styles that make the reading beautiful to hear which is reflected through the similarity of sounds at the end of each verse in the Qur’an, one of which is poetry. Poetry plays a role in beautifying the language of the Qur’an. Poetry is one of the branches of balaghah in the study of badi’ science which is studied in Arabic learning. The purpose of this study was to determine the number of poems contained in juz 30 in the Qur’an al-karim as well as the kinds and signs that exist in juz 30. In this study, the researcher uses the descriptive analysis method, because the researcher analyzes, describes, and explains the poems contained in the Qur’an, especially in juz 30. The results of the study show that number of poems in juz 30 is 99 poems. As for the kinds of poems in juz 30, is three kinds of poems, namely mutharraf’s poems have 86 poems and mutaeFRwazi’s poems have 10 poems and murassha’ poems have 3 poems. As for the signs, there are also three according to the type of rhyme, namely the mutharraf rhyme sign is the difference in the last word in terms of wazan and the suitability of the final letter. The mutawazi rhyming is the compatibility of the last word in terms of wazan and the final letter. As for the sign in the murassha’ rhyme is the compatibility of all or part of the lafadz in two or more sentences in terms of wazan and the final lette

    Modulation of energy homeostasis in maize and Arabidopsis to develop lines tolerant to drought, genotoxic and oxidative stresses

    Abiotic stresses cause crop losses worldwide that reduce the average yield by more than 50%. Due to the high energy consumed to enhance the respiration rates, the excessive reactive oxygen species release provokes cell death and, ultimately, whole plant decay. A metabolic engineering approach in maize (Zea mays) altered the expression of two poly(ADP-ribosyl)ation metabolic pathway proteins, poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) and ADP-ribose-specifIc Nudix hydrolase (NUDX) genes that play a role in the maintenance of the energy homeostasis during stresses. By means of RNAi hairpin silencing and CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing strategies, the PARP expression in maize was downregulated or knocked down. The Arabidopsis NUDX7 gene and its two maize homologs, ZmNUDX2 and ZmNUDX8, were overexpressed in maize and Arabidopsis. Novel phenotypes were observed, such as significant tolerance to oxidative stress and improved yield in Arabidopsis and a trend of tolerance to mild drought stress in maize and in Arabidopsis.     Pendidikan adalah proses kerjasama antara lembaga dan individu untuk meningkatkan kepribadian dan kompetensi peserta didik baik secara rohani maupun jasmani. Undang-Undang Sistem Pendidikan Nasional Republik Indonesia menggarisbawahi pentingnya menciptakan suasana belajar yang mendukung pengembangan potensi peserta didik. Manajemen pendidikan, terutama dalam konteks peserta didik berkebutuhan khusus (PDBK), memerlukan pendekatan yang inklusif, terencana, dan berkelanjutan. Penelitian deskriptif kualitatif ini mengkaji manajemen pembelajaran matematika bagi peserta didik hambatan intelektual di Sekolah Luar Biasa (SLB) Negeri Bontang, Kalimantan Timur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) menjadi pedoman utama bagi guru, meskipun harus disesuaikan secara fleksibel dengan kebutuhan peserta didik. Pembelajaran matematika mengedepankan pendekatan inklusif dan pengalaman langsung, di mana guru berperan penting dalam menyusun materi yang sederhana dan repetitif. Evaluasi pembelajaran tidak hanya mengukur hasil akhir, tetapi juga memperhatikan kemajuan dan respons peserta didik selama proses pembelajaran. Manajemen pendidikan khusus di SLB mencakup aspek kepegawaian, kurikulum, serta sarana dan prasarana. Kolaborasi antara sekolah, keluarga, praktisi pendidikan, dan komunitas mendukung terciptanya lingkungan pembelajaran inklusif. Dengan pendekatan yang tepat, pembelajaran matematika bagi peserta didik hambatan intelektual dapat membantu pengembangan keterampilan kognitif, sosial, dan kehidupan sehari-hari mereka

    The 5S Program is used to promote quality management in any business environment that seeks growth in its niche, minimizing process losses, costs and waste, increasing production and product quality. Thus, this article aims to demonstrate the improvements implemented with the application of the 5S Program in the machining sector in an assembly company Manaus Industrial Pole (PIM) that focuses on a pull production system. The research is of an applied nature, consisting of a bibliographical survey and a case study in the assembly company from July to October 2022. In the application of the tolerated meanings, the organization of items that were being used, as well as those that admitted were unused, disposal of worn-out materials that could no longer be used, accommodation of tools and equipment in their proper places, so that everyone could have access. The sense of cleanliness was applied to the use of cleaning kits allocated in supports oriented to the five production lines of the machining sector. The sense of standardization determined the cleaning of the machines in three stages, in a total time of 6 minutes, the sense of self-discipline, requires verification with more time, to identify whether the principles become a company culture. The benefits identified from the implementation of 5S are the elimination of waste, optimization of time and space, teamwork, improvements in health, reduction of accidents etc
