    Critical Examination of the School Environment in Terms of Augmenting Motivation Among Students in Junior High Schools in Palu

    This study aims to determine whether there is an influence of the school environment on the learning motivation of students at Negeri 9 Palu. The research method used in this study is quantitative. The instrument in this study uses a questionnaire. The research data that has been collected is analyzed with the help of a computer program using statistical product and service solution (SPSS), and the results of the hypothesis test are analyzed using a simple linear regression test. The results of the study show a calculated t value of 7.727> t table 1.986. With a significant value of 0.001 < 0.005. The results of this study can also be seen in the coefficient of determination that the contribution of the influence of the variable (X), namely the school environment, to the variable (Y), namely learning motivation, is 41%. The conclusion of the results of this study shows that there is a significant influence of the school environment on the learning motivation of students in the subject of Islamic Religious Education at SMP Negeri 9 Palu. This finding emphasizes the importance of a supportive and engaging school environment in fostering students' motivation to learn, particularly in subjects like Islamic Religious Education. Future research could explore additional factors that may further enhance learning motivation in this context

    Walking On Embers: The Complexity of Adolescent Sexual Dynamics and Its Implications for Sex Education Structure in University

    This article discusses the complexity of adolescent sexual behaviour in Indonesia and its implications for the need to reform sex education. The study highlights the increasing prevalence of premarital sex among adolescents, driven by uncontrolled access to sexual information via digital media. The urgency of this research lies in the lack of comprehensive sex education in Indonesia and the absence of open dialogue within families. This situation is exacerbated by the high number of adolescents engaging in premarital sex, with approximately 60% of those aged 16-17 involved. This study employs a qualitative approach using phenomenological methods to understand adolescents' perceptions and experiences of sexuality. Data were collected through content analysis of various digital platforms, including social media, news articles, videos, and online forums. This approach allows researchers to capture the nuances of how sexual information is disseminated and received by young audiences. Data triangulation techniques were employed to enhance the validity of the research by comparing multiple sources of information. Findings indicate that Indonesian adolescents are caught between traditional values and the influence of modernisation, particularly through social media. The wide accessibility of sexual information without proper guidance has led to confusion, risky sexual behaviour, increased teenage pregnancies, and the spread of sexually transmitted infections. This underscores the need for a more comprehensive reform of sex education in Indonesia, incorporating biological, psychological, social, and cultural dimensions. In conclusion, reforming sex education in Indonesia is crucial to providing adolescents with a more holistic understanding of sexuality in the digital age

    Analysis of E-Kinerja Platform Merdeka Mengajar Results in Improving the Work Ethic of Senior High School Teachers in East Kalimantan

    Technology-based teacher performance evaluation, such as the e-Kinerja Platform Merdeka Mengajar (PMM), serves as a modern solution for measuring and improving educators' performance. This study aims to describe the e-Kinerja PMM process, the supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation, and the solutions applied by schools. A qualitative approach is used to analyze the results of e-Kinerja PMM in enhancing teachers' work ethic. The research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 and SMA Negeri 7 Berau, with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis follows Miles and Huberman's interactive model, seeking relationships between e-Kinerja PMM and the improvement of teachers' work ethic. The study results show that the e-Kinerja PMM process enhances teachers' work ethic in six aspects: commitment to the profession, discipline and responsibility, creativity and innovation in teaching, enthusiasm and motivation in teaching, professionalism at work, and continuous self-development. Similarly, the supporting and inhibiting factors in implementing e-Kinerja are related to improvements in these six aspects. The solutions implemented by schools in carrying out e-Kinerja also contribute to enhancing teachers' work ethic in these areas. This study affirms that e-Kinerja PMM has the potential to improve teachers' work ethic. Theoretical implications of this research provide academic insights into digital-based performance evaluation.     Leveraging Information and Communication Technology for Enhancing Students' Learning and Development of Scientific Works

    This study explores how integrating ICT into education can significantly improve students' learning experiences and foster the creation of scientific works. ICT tools, offer students enhanced access to information, promote critical thinking, and support the development of research and scientific writing skills. By incorporating ICT, educators can provide more interactive, personalized, and effective learning environments, ultimately enriching the academic and research capabilities of students. This study aims to explain how students in SMA Negeri 1 Torue learn to design scientific work using information and communication technology. This research is descriptive-qualitative in nature. The researchers used purposive sampling to collect the samples. The research subjects were 36 people, including one language teacher and 35 students. Observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation are data collection methods. Data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions are the three stages of data analysis. Based on observations, interviews, and documentation of Indonesian language teachers, it is evident that teachers are capable of adapting their approaches, media, and materials. This allows researchers to conclude that the use of information and communication technology in teaching students to design scientific work in class XI IPS 1 SMA Negeri 1 Torue is adequate

    Development of Rukhsah Learning Application Based on SAC (Smart Apps Creator) to Improve Students' Argumentation Skills

    The development of the SAC (Smart Apps Creator) based Rukhsah learning application aims to improve students' argumentation skills, as well as make a real contribution to learning innovation in the digital era. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) Method by referring to the ADDIE research model, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. This study aims to determine the validation, practicality, and effectiveness of the use of the Rukhsah Application. This research was conducted at MTs Muhammadiyah 2 Jenangan Ponorogo. The number of research samples was 36 students taken through random sampling techniques. Data were obtained from questionnaires, and argumentation skills tests were analyzed using quantitative descriptive and qualitative descriptive to determine practicality, and statistical tests Sample Paired T Test and Choen's d to determine the level of effectiveness of the developed application. The results of the study show that the Rukhsah Application has a validation rate of 92% in the very valid category and a practicality level of 86% in the very practical category. The effectiveness in improving students' argumentation skills obtained a Cohen's d score of 5.541, which is >0.8 in the large effect category

    The Effectiveness of Spritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT) Therapy to Increase Motivation to Memorize the Quran and Reinforcement of Students at the Baitul Ilmi Tahfidz Putri Islamic Boarding School in Bima City

    This study explores whether the application of Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT) therapy can effectively enhance the motivation and reinforcement of students in memorizing the Qur’an at the Baitul Ilmi Female Tahfidz Islamic Boarding School in Bima City. To investigate this issue, the study utilized a quantitative research approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The participants consisted of 16 ninth-grade students from the Baitul Ilmi Female Tahfidz Islamic Boarding School. Data were gathered using standardized instruments measuring motivation and reinforcement, and subsequently analyzed through a series of statistical procedures, including normality testing, paired samples t-test, and Pearson correlation analysis. The findings revealed that the data were normally distributed, and there was a statistically significant increase in both motivation and reinforcement after SEFT therapy was applied (p < 0.001). Descriptively, students showed greater enthusiasm in attending tahfidz activities, became more confident in memorizing, and were more emotionally resilient. Reinforcement was reflected through improved self-perception, responsiveness to praise, and consistency in memorization practices. However, the correlation analysis showed no significant relationship between motivation and reinforcement (r = -0.079; p = 0.771), indicating that while both improved independently, they were not directly linked statistically.     This study aims to describe the target aspects of verbal violence in comments on the Instagram account @gibran_rakabuming in educational perspective. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the research applies pragmatic matching analysis techniques to delve deeper into the forms of verbal violence and the identity aspects targeted by these attacks, including ethnicity, religion, race, inter-group relations (SARA), gender, disability, and sexual orientation. The findings indicate that verbal violence is most often directed at inter-group aspects, reflecting high tensions between social groups in the digital space, particularly in the political context. Additionally, aspects of religion and race frequently become targets, further complicating the polarization on social media. This study reveals the role of social media as an arena where verbal violence thrives and indirectly reinforces social segregation, especially on sensitive identity issues. In conclusion, these findings demonstrate that comments on social media serve not only as a space for expression but also as a venue for intense verbal conflicts related to individual and group identities

    The education digitalization program in madrasah throughout Indonesia is an initiative to overcome significant challenges in improving the quality and access to education, especially in underserved areas. The program seeks to create a more equitable educational landscape by leveraging digital technology, allowing students and educators to benefit from modern learning tools and resources. The theoretical framework guiding this research emphasizes the importance of knowledge transfer and best practices from digital education models successfully implemented in other countries. A qualitative approach analyses implementation strategies, challenges, and program outcomes. The findings show that while these initiatives have great potential to transform education, they also face obstacles such as limited infrastructure and the need for comprehensive training for educators. Ultimately, the study concludes that ongoing commitment and collaboration among stakeholders are essential to realizing the full benefits of digital education in Indonesian madrasah

    IMPLEMENTATION OF TPACK-BASED LEARNING DESIGN ON THE ROTATING OBJECT CONCEPT

    This study aims to implement a learning design based on technological pedagogical and content knowledge (TPACK) on the concept of rotating object. The research subjects were students of class XII IPA SMAK Santo Bonaventura Madiun. The data were obtained from observations and student test results in completing the concept of rotating object. This research is a development research. Mathematics is still considered a difficult subject by some students. For elementary and middle school level mathematics, it is still possible to deliver it based on students' experiences in everyday life. For the senior high school level, the concept of rotating object is difficult to imagine because it requires a higher understanding. Therefore, it is necessary to design learning that can provide direct experience to students. TPACK is learning that uses a combined application of an education system that prioritizes technology and certain applications (content) in learning. In implementing TPACK-based learning, there are several things to pay attention to, namely aspects of pedagogy, content, and technology.
