Skyrmions, Hadrons and isospin chemical potential
Using the Hamiltonian formulation, in terms of collective variables, we
explore the evolution of different skyrmionic parameters as function of the
isospin chemical potential (), such as the energy density, the charge
density, the isoscalar radius and the isoscalar magnetic radius. We found that
the radii start to grow very fast for MeV, suggesting the
occurrence of a phase transition.Comment: 10 pages, 5 figure
Agronomic, economic and ecological aspects of the papaya (Carica papaya) production in Tabasco, Mexico
The cultivation of papaya is important in the tropic because it provides source of income to the farmer within a short time. Statistical data were obtained from farmers located in the Chontalpa, Rios and Centro-Sierra regions; the size of the survey was 67 farmers. The study shows the results of the farmers’ problem in a drastic reduction of their productivity because of the virosis and low prices in commercialization. The farmers were classified into three levels of technology, “low”, “middle” and “high”. The first one covers 88% of the farmers in seasonal conditions in contrast with the high technology that concentrates 4.5% in irrigation conditions. According to the technology used, the fertilizer shows more yields. Economically, the high technology had an internal tax return of 0.43 in comparison with the low technology of 0.25, which means that the investment is recovered with different yields. However, the use of high technology makes the system more competitive. Key words
A first approximation to the inheritance of cotyledon storage proteins was studied in European sweet chestnut (Castanea sativa Mill.) by evaluating the offspring of a controlled cross between two local chestnut varieties (Corriente and Pilonga) from southern Spain. The analysis was carried out in 15 polymorphic bands corresponding to the albumin fraction of the storage proteins. The relationship between bands displayed one case of allelism and four of linkage. These results should be considered as the baseline of the genetics of these proteins and suggest that they could be useful for the evaluation of the genetic variability in chestnut.
The sTB-B Hierarchy
We construct a new supersymmetric two boson (sTB-B) hierarchy and study its
properties. We derive the conserved quantities and the Hamiltonian structures
(proving the Jacobi identity) for the system. We show how this system gives the
sKdV-B equation and its Hamiltonian structures upon appropriate reduction. We
also describe the zero curvature formulation of this hierarchy both in the
superspace as well as in components.Comment: 15 pages, Te
A nonperturbative form of the spectral action principle in noncommutative geometry
Using the formalism of superconnections, we show the existence of a bosonic
action functional for the standard K-cycle in noncommutative geometry, giving
rise, through the spectral action principle, only to the Einstein gravity and
Standard Model Yang-Mills-Higgs terms. It provides an effective nonminimal
coupling in the bosonic sector of the Lagrangian.Comment: 12 pages. LaTeX2e, instructions for obsolete LaTeX'
On the Electric Charge of Monopoles at Finite Temperature
We calculate the electric charge at finite temperature for non-Abelian
monopoles in spontaneously broken gauge theories with a CP violating
-term. A careful treatment of dyon's gauge degrees of freedom shows
that Witten formula for the dyon charge at , ,
remains valid at .Comment: 13 pages, latex file, no figure
