    Get PDF
The aim of the present research is to study the role of the influential perceptual dimensions on the client's use of internet banking services of Pasargad Bank branches of Tehran. For this purpose, 384 of the clients of the branches of this bank in Tehran have been selected by using stratified random sampling method and the research questionnaires were distributed among them. The influential factors on acceptance of these services by the clients were studied in terms of four dimensions of efficiency, individual, social and security and for testing the proportionality of the research questionnaire, the exploratory factor analysis were used. The results indicated that the indices under study relatively represent the dimensions of the study. Hence, during the fitting the structural model, the effect of each of these dimensions were studied on the use of internet banking services, the results of which indicate that the efficiency and security dimensions have a significant effect (p<0.01) on the use of internet banking services while other dimensions such as individual and social dimensions in comparison to the efficiency dimension which were measured in terms of two concepts of usefulness and convenience and security, do not have a significant effect (p<0.01) on the use of internet banking services

Early shutting time in production wells due to water production performs an important role to determine production efficiency and useful life of the reservoir. In this study, in order to postpone the shut-in time of producing wells, increase oil displacement, and enhance production efficiency, production and injection wells capabilities with respect to their position in the reservoir were studied by using the concept of streamline. In the oil reservoirs, increasing injection flow rate does not necessarily enhance oil displacement and recovery. Therefore, suitable injection rates according to injection and production wells position have to be optimized. Also, production wells flow rate can affect sweep efficiency optimization extremely and increase the efficiency of injection wells. In this study, according to the position of production and injection wells and water production rates resulting from injection wells, four scenarios with different injection and production rates were investigated. This optimization has led to a reduced water production and water injection. Also, it increased the production efficiency and reservoir life

Optimizing oil recovery factor by horizontal and vertical infill drilling using streamline simulation in an Iranian oil reservoir

Although nowadays finite difference simulators have many advantages for reservoir engineers to predict reservoirs in three dimensions, they have some disadvantages, such as spending much run time for complex fields with several thousand grids, which – by using streamline simulation – the run time was decreased considerably. In this paper, first a brief summary of streamline simulation and its uniqueness applications were discussed and then an Iranian oil reservoir as a case study was simulated by using FrontSim streamline simulator. Then, besides testing the results of Sayyafzadeh et al. (2010) to find the location of infill wells, the most suitable locations for infill drilling were selected. After that, vertical and horizontal infill wells were investigated and overall 34 scenarios were tested by using the streamline simulation method and FrontSim software. Finally the results of simulation and testing infill drilling scenario show significant increase in field oil production and field oil recovery factor, approximately 13%, and also a reduction in field water cut. In addition, distinguishing fractures or faults, well’s drainage area, and understanding how much injectors affect the field oil production are some of the other benefits of the streamline simulation method. The novelty of this paper was to study the effects of horizontal infill wells and to compare the results between horizontal and vertical infill drilling using streamline simulation

Non-symbiotic association of Citrobacter freundii and Staphylococcus succinus with the entomopathogenic nematode Steinernema feltiae

Soil-dwelling nematodes from Steinernematidae family are obligate parasites of insects and usually referred to as entomopathogenic nematodes (EPNs). These nematodes are symbiotically associated with entomopathogenic bacteria Xenorhabdus spp. The bacterial symbionts are carried monoxenically in a special vesicle in the infective juveniles (IJs). In the present study we report the isolation of two species of non-symbiotic bacteria from infected insect cadavers by the EPN, Steinernema feltiae. Galleria mellonella L. larvae were exposed to surface sterilized infective juveniles of S. feltiae and transferred to sterile Petri dishes for a further 24 hours. Hemolymph was collected and streaked onto both MacConkey and NBTA agar. Bacteria were identified using biochemical and phylogenetic analysis. 16S-rRNA gene sequence based maximum parsimony, maximum likelihood and neighbour joining phylogenetic analyses were conducted. Two non-symbiotic species including Citrobacter freundii and Staphylococcus succinus were identified and reported to be associated with S. feltiae. Our results provide further evidence for the existence of non-symbiotic bacteria associated with EPNs infection

A number of N-benzylidene heterocycle derivatives have been synthesized and their antibacterial activities tested. The new chemical structures synthesized compounds were verified on the basis of spectral and elemental methods of analyses.the antimicrobial activity of the compounds was done by disc diffusion method We synthesized two different types of compounds, a combination of compounds based on the structure of isatin and other compounds based on the structure of thiazole. Synthesis of thiazole was performed using green chemistry method and a three-step reaction was used in the synthesis of isatin compounds. We used the Stoell-Becker method to synthesize compounds based on the isatin structure. The synthesized product was characterized by its physical properties, melting point, TLC and then subjected to the in vitro antibacterial activities against gram-positive and gram-negative strains of microbe

Morphology, morphometric and molecular study of geographical isolates of an entomopathogenic nematode, Steinernema feltiae (Rhabditida: Steinernematidae) from north-west of Iran

The study was intended to investigate the morphological, morphometric and molecular characterization of eight geographical isolates of the entomopathogenic nematode Steinernema feltiae from northwest of Iran. The results showed no detectable morphological variations, but significant morphometric variations were recorded among the isolates. Clustering based on morphometry of infective juveniles, classified the isolates in the following three separate groups:  group I consists of IRA30 and IRA25; group II includes IRA21, IRA23, IRA34, IRA28 and IRA21 and group III contains of IRA17. Clustering the isolates based on the male's morphometric characters, yielded nearly similar results and four groups were constructed as follows: group I is made up of IRA22, IRA23 and IRA21; group II holds IRA25, IRA34 and IRA28; group III contains IRA30 and IRA17 constitutes group IV. No intraspecific variation was observed among PCR-RFLP patterns of the native isolates resulted from16 restriction enzymes but significant variations were recorded within the isolate Pumping by HinfI, MspI and MboI. Although these markers serve as effective tools in separating the native isolates from the exotic ones, they are unable to detect variations among native isolates. Therefore, only ITS-rDNA sequence based phylogenetic analysis can effectively clarify the intraspecific variations of S. feltiae

Aims: To determine the inhibitory effect of oral Lactobacillus against bacterial pathogens and investigate correlation between presence of Lactobacillus strains and health promotion. Method: One hundred saliva samples were collected from oral cavity of domestic dairy consumers and were investigated for the isolation and identification of Lactobacillus strain by conventional culture and sequencing of 16SrRNA. Furthermore, well diffusion assay was performed to determination of antibacterial activity of Lactobacillus strains against bacterial pathogens including Salmonella typhimurium, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Shigella sonnei, Shigella dysenteriae, Enterococcus faecalis and Enterococcus faecium. Finally, association between health condition and isolation of Lactobacillus were investigated and obtained data using questionary form were analysed by chi-square test. Results: Thirty Lactobacillus strains recovered from 100 hundred saliva samples. The most common isolated strain was L. gasseri (n=18) and followed by L. vaginalis (n=3) and L. salivarius (n=3). All Lactobacillus strains demonstrated antibacterial activity against at least one of the investigated pathogens. However, the strongest results were obtained by L. vaginalis against K. pneumonia. The correlation between the presence of thirty Lactobacillus strains and health promotion not found. However, only L. gasseri species has significant positive impact on health in their hosts (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Only some Lactobacillus species have a positive impact on health promotion. Despite of weak activity against the investigated pathogens, L. gasseri has a positive impact on the mental problem (intense anger and depression) of their hosts.
