    Phase equilibria and phase transformations in the Ti-rich corner of the Fe-Ni-Ti system

    While the main features of the Fe-Ni-Ti system are well known at low Ti content, literature review of the Ti-rich corner revealed inconsistencies between experimental reports. This investigation presents new experimental results, defined to remove the uncertainties concerning melting behavior and solid-state phase equilibria of the (Ni,Fe)Ti2 phase with the adjacent (Fe,Ni)Ti (B2, CsCl-type structure) and Beta-Ti (A2, W-type) phases. Six samples have been prepared and examined by differential thermal analysis performed in yttria and alumina crucibles, and by scanning electron microscopy in the as-cast state as well as equilibrated at 900°C

    The aim of this paper is the discussion of preliminary results of the ongoing study of an Italian substandard variety (italiano popolare) with the ParVa spoken corpus (Guerini 2016). The focus is on the interplay of two structural factors: contact with Italo-Romance dialects and linguistic simplification. The corpus shows previously overlooked syntactic features, which may improve the view of this subvariety and also allows a quantitative analysis of agreement in existential constructions

    In vitro Untersuchungen zum Einfluss von flexiblen und rigiden Kunstharzen für den Stereolithographie-3D-Druck auf die Vitalität von oralen Fibroblasten und L929-Zellen

    Einleitung: Die Entwicklung von parodontalen Erkrankungen ist noch immer ein aktuelles Problem in der moderneren Zahnheilkunde. Deswegen spielt die Möglichkeit der Therapie eine große Rolle. Tissue Engineering wäre ein Weg die Regeneration des parodontalen Gewebes zu verbessern. Neue Ansätze beruhen auf Microtissues, Mikrogeweben, und verzichten auf das Trägermaterial. Die Gewebe werden aus Zellen in den Formen generiert. Allerdings sind kommerziell verfügbare Formen nicht anpassbar und erlauben nur die Generierung von Mikrogeweben in limitierten Dimensionen. Ein neuer Ansatz wäre die Formen in 3D-Druckern zu fertigen.Das Ziel dieser Studie war die Wirkung von rigiden und flexiblen Kunstharzen in unterschiedlichen Verarbeitungsstufen auf die Vitalität von oralen Fibroblasten und L929-Zellen zu klären. Material und Methoden: Zur Umsetzung der Experimente wurden PDL und L929 Zellen in 2DModellen in Zellkulturen verwendet und ihre Vitalität in direkten und indirekten Modellen in Vitro geprüft. Als positive Kontrolle dienten lebendige (unbehandelte) Zellen, die auf dem Plastik kultiviert wurden. Als negative Kontrolle dienten Zellen, die mit Staurosporin stimuliert wurden. Für die Bestimmung der metabolischen Aktivität der Zellen wurde der MTT-Test eingesetzt. Die Zellenviabilität und die Zytotoxizität wurden mittels auf Resazurin-basierendem Toxitätstest gemessen. Zur Evaluierung der vitalen und devitalen Zellen wurden Live-Dead Färbungen benutzt. Ergebnisse: Wir fanden, dass in beiden Modellen mit L929 Zellen und PDL rigide und flexible Kunstharze die Werte von MTT und Resazurin-basierendem Toxitätstest reduzierten. Hier zeigte flexibles Harz eine etwas stärkere Reduktion der Zellaktivität im MTT und auf Resazurin-basierendem Toxitätstest als das rigide Harz. Die Untersuchungen zeigen unter anderem die Expression von L929 und PDL-Zellen in direkten und indirekten 2D-monolayer-Modellen. In 2D-Monolayerkulturen hat sich herausgestellt, dass die Vitalität von L929 und PDL-Zellen von rigiden und flexiblen Kunstharzen stark negativ beeinflusst wird. Diese Ergebnisse zeigen starke Parallelen zu bisherigen Forschungen über die Auswirkungen von klaren und dentalen SG Kunstharzen auf L929 und PDL-Zellen. Schlussfolgerungen: In dieser Studie haben wir rigide und flexible Kunstharze verglichen. Unsere Resultate zeigen deutlich, dass Zellen in beiden Modellen absterben, was bedeutet, dass flexibles Kunstharz toxisch ist, unabhängig davon, ob es lichtgehärtet oder ungehärtet ist.Introduction: The development of periodontal diseases is still a current problem in modern dentistry. Tissue engineering would be a way to improve the regeneration of periodontal tissue.New approaches are based on microtissues, and do not require of scaffolds. For this purpose, the tissues are generated from cells by means of shapes. Commercially available molds are not customizable and only allow the generation of micro-tissues in prefabricated dimensions. A new approach would be to manufacture the shapes in 3D printers. The aim of this study was to clarify the effect of rigid and flexible resins at different processing stages on the vitality of oral fibroblasts and L929 cells. Material and methods: For the implementation of the experiments PDL and L929 cells in 2D models were used in cell cultures and their vitality in the direct and indirect models, in Vitro tested. As a positive control were living (untreated) cells, which were cultured on the resins. As a negative control were cells that were stimulated with Staurosporin. MTT Test was used to determine the metabolic activity of the cells. The cell viability and cytotoxicity were measured by Resazurin-based toxicity test. For the evaluation of vital and dead cells, Live-dead staining were used. Results: We found that in both models with L929 cells and PDL rigid and flexible synthetic resins reduced the values of MTT and Resazurin-based toxicity test. Here, flexible resin showed a slightly greater reduction in cell activity in MTT and Resazurin-based toxicity Test than the rigid resin. The studies show, among other things, the Expression of L929 and PDL cells in direct and indirect 2D monolayer models. In 2D monolayer cultures it has been found that the vitality of L929 and PDL cells is strongly negatively affected by rigid and flexible resins. These results show strong Parallels to previous research on the effects of clear and dental SG synthetic resins on L929 and PDL cells. Conclusions: In this study we compared rigid and flexible synthetic resins. Our results clearly show that in both models will be cell death, which means that flexible synthetic resin is toxic, regardless of whether they are light-hardened or uncured.Medizinische Universität Wien, Diplomarbeit, 2019(VLID)357424
