Expected-Delay-Summing Weak Bisimilarity for Markov Automata

A new weak bisimulation semantics is defined for Markov automata that, in addition to abstracting from internal actions, sums up the expected values of consecutive exponentially distributed delays possibly intertwined with internal actions. The resulting equivalence is shown to be a congruence with respect to parallel composition for Markov automata. Moreover, it turns out to be comparable with weak bisimilarity for timed labeled transition systems, thus constituting a step towards reconciling the semantics for stochastic time and deterministic time.Comment: In Proceedings QAPL 2015, arXiv:1509.0816

A Formal Framework for Modeling Trust and Reputation in Collective Adaptive Systems

    Get PDF
Trust and reputation models for distributed, collaborative systems have been studied and applied in several domains, in order to stimulate cooperation while preventing selfish and malicious behaviors. Nonetheless, such models have received less attention in the process of specifying and analyzing formally the functionalities of the systems mentioned above. The objective of this paper is to define a process algebraic framework for the modeling of systems that use (i) trust and reputation to govern the interactions among nodes, and (ii) communication models characterized by a high level of adaptiveness and flexibility. Hence, we propose a formalism for verifying, through model checking techniques, the robustness of these systems with respect to the typical attacks conducted against webs of trust.Comment: In Proceedings FORECAST 2016, arXiv:1607.0200

Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) is guidance of work stages to perform tasks based on function and tools of work assessment made systematically in order to maintaining bureaucratic effectively and efficiently. SOP arranged to abridging, straightening, and ordering tasks which it is contained chronology of process in performing tasks from the beginning task until the last task. Therefore, in making of halal certification, LPPOM MUI as executioner of the process has arranged a plot of SOP systematically before the certification being published including catering enterprise. Facts on field that society and producer are in misperception to SOP halal licence publication. This research aimed to understand SOP of halal licence and its application to Catering Enterprise in Pekanbaru City.Theory of concept which is used by researcher is SOP theory by Purnamasari, which indicators such as Consistency, Efficiency, Minimization of Error, Problem Resolution and Working Map. This research use qualitative research method which data analyzed descriptively. In data collecting, researcher use interview technique, observation and documentation. With using technique of purposive sampling as source of information and triangulation technique as source of data validityResult of this research shows that SOP of Halal Certification by LPPOM MUI Riau generally and catering enterprise particularly is good enough, nevertheless not implemented maximally based on efficiency which is not fast by time and precise along with lack of public socialization to society or producers in Pekanbaru City. On the other hand, process that working manually made execution of certification still not fast by time and Halal Guarantee System (HGS) not fully implemented by LPPOM to catering enterprise in Pekanbaru City

Tourism is one of the activities that support the economy and a potential source of income for a region. Tourism spots / recreations are a symbol of the presence of tourism activity itself. Semarang city has some attractions that are able to be a mainstay and a place for people to unwind. Among the tourism spots which become the mainstay of Semarang is the Wildlife Park of Semarang. Semarang Wildlife Park offers amusement or recreation that is able to attract the attention of the public to always re-visit the place. Public interest to always return to the Wildlife Park Semarang must be followed by the performance of the staff of the Wildlife Park to always provide the best service to the community. The method used by the author is a qualitative research method with descriptive analytic approach. Used data collection technique is data triangulation consisting of interviews, observation and documentation. The data analysis technique used by the author is an interactive analysis technique which is supported by the documents that author gets in the locus of research.Research conducted by the author is the analysis of the performance of employees in Wildlife Park of Semarang. The author found a lack of good governance in the management of Semarang Wildlife Park, one of the reason is the performance of the staff of the Wildlife Park which is still less than satisfactory. This can occur due to several factors such as inhibiting the lack of facilities and infrastructure support, as well as the lack of cash injection from the Government ofSemarang which can be an important element in improving the management of Semarang Wildlife Park itself, and the absence of the wildlife conservation license due to its management should not be from government agencies but must go through the local company. Conclusion of a study conducted by the author that the presence of Wildlife Park of Semarang contributes substantially to the Local Revenue of Semarang, but on the other hand the performance of employees of Wildlife Park of Semarang still insatisfactory in service delivery due to several factors such as lack of inhibiting one quality of human resources contained in the Wildlife Park of Semarang. The author recommends that with the proliferation of creative economic activities that can provide a positive injection to the scope of the Semarang Wildlife Park itself as well as the search for a third party or partner from the private sector are able to fund and develope Semarang Wildlife Park to be able to compete with Wildlife Park in other cities

The role of detraining in tendon mechanobiology

    Get PDF
INTRODUCTION: Several conditions such as training, aging, estrogen deficiency and drugs could affect the biological and anatomo-physiological characteristics of the tendon. Additionally, recent preclinical and clinical studies examined the effect of detraining on tendon, showing alterations in its structure and morphology and in tenocyte mechanobiology. However, few data evaluated the importance that cessation of training might have on tendon. Basically, we do not fully understand how tendons react to a phase of training followed by sudden detraining. Therefore, within this review, we summarize the studies where tendon detraining was examined. MATERIALS AND METHODS: A descriptive systematic literature review was carried out by searching three databases (PubMed, Scopus and Web of Knowledge) on tendon detraining. Original articles in English from 2000 to 2015 were included. In addition, the search was extended to the reference lists of the selected articles. A public reference manager (www.mendeley.com) was adopted to remove duplicate articles. RESULTS: An initial literature search yielded 134 references (www.pubmed.org: 53; www.scopus.com: 11; www.webofknowledge.com: 70). Fifteen publications were extracted based on the title for further analysis by two independent reviewers. Abstracts and complete articles were after that reviewed to evaluate if they met inclusion criteria. CONCLUSIONS: The revised literature comprised four clinical studies and an in vitro and three in vivo reports. Overall, the results showed that tendon structure and properties after detraining are compromised, with an alteration in the tissue structural organization and mechanical properties. Clinical studies usually showed a lesser extent of tendon alterations, probably because preclinical studies permit an in-depth evaluation of tendon modifications, which is hard to perform in human subjects. In conclusion, after a period of sudden detraining (e.g., after an injury), physical activity should be taken with caution, following a targeted rehabilitation program. However, further research should be performed to fully understand the effect of sudden detraining on tendons

Sicily, the largest Mediterranean island, is surrounded by many small islands (Aeolian Islands, Ustica, Aegadian Islands, Pantelleria, Linosa, Lampedusa, Maltese Islands), some of which forming archipelagoes. The authors, after a historical sketch of the research on Neuropterida in Sicily (sensu lato), analyze the biodiversity of the area, highlighting the species richness and providing an up-to-date check-list. The lack of knowledge on some of the most paradigmatic communities of Neuropterida is discussed in relation to their various habitats. The distributional patterns of Sicilian Neuropterida are interpreted in order to obtain a biogeographical characterization of the area. It is confirmed that the location of Sicily and its surrounding islands forms a bridge between north and south and a door from the W Mediterranean region to the oriental Mediterranean basi

    Bigraphical modelling of architectural patterns

Selected for publication in FACS'2011 post-proceedings, to appear in Springer Lecture Notes in Computer ScienceArchery is a language for behavioural modelling of architectural patterns, supporting hierarchical composition and a type discipline. This paper extends Archery to cope with the patterns' structural dimension through a set of (re-)configuration combinators and constraints that all instances of a pattern must obey. Both types and instances of architectural patterns are semantically represented as bigraphical reactive systems and operations upon them as reaction rules. Such a bigraphical semantics provides a rigorous model for Archery patterns and reduces constraint verification in architectures to a type-checking problem.(undefined

    Magneto-optic properties of CoFe2−xGaxO4

Research on cobaltferrite based composites has increased recently due to their potential applications such as noncontact magnetoelastic stress or torque sensors and erasable magneto-optic recording media. We report a study of the polar Kerr rotation spectra for CoFe2−xGaxO4 (with x=0.4 and x=0.8). Each of the spectra consists of two peaks of negative Kerr rotation in the measured photon energy range of 1.5–3.0eV. For x=0.4, one peak occured at 1.8eV and the other at 2.25eV. For x=0.8, the first peak shifted to a higher energy of about 1.9eV, while the second peak remained at 2.25eV. The origin of the peaks in the polar Kerr spectra and the observed shift of peak position resulting from Ga substitution can be explained by the intervalence charge-transfer transition, in which an electron from a metallic cation is transferred to a neighboring cation through an optical excitation
