Efficient cartridge purification for producing high molar activity [18F]fluoro-glycoconjugates via oxime formation
Introduction 18F-fluoroglycosylation via oxime formation is a chemoselective and mild radiolabeling method for sensitive molecules. Glycosylation can also improve the bioavailability, in vivo kinetics, and stability of the compound in blood, as well as accelerate clearance of biomolecules. A typical synthesis procedure for 18F-fluoroglycosylation with [18F]FDG (2-deoxy-2-[18F]fluoro-d-glucose) and [18F]FDR (5-deoxy-5-[18F]fluoro-d-ribose) involves two HPLC (high performance liquid chromatography) purifications: one after 18F-fluorination of the carbohydrate to remove its labeling precursor, and a second one after the oxime formation step to remove the aminooxy precursor. The two HPLC purifications can be time consuming and complicate the adaptation of the synthetic strategy in nuclear medicine applications and automated synthesis. We have developed a procedure in which SPE (solid phase extraction) and resin purification methods replace both of the needed HPLC purification steps. Methods We used [18F]FDR and [18F]FDG as prosthetic groups to radiolabel two aminooxy-modified model molecules, a tetrazine and a PSMA (prostate specific membrane antigen) inhibitor. After fluorination, the excess carbohydrate precursor was removed by derivatizing it with 4,4′-dimethoxytrityl chloride (DMT-Cl). The DMT moiety increases the hydrophobicity of the unreacted precursor making the separation from the fluorinated precursor possible with simple C18 Sep-Pak cartridge. For removal of the aminooxy precursor, we used a commercially available aldehyde resin (AminoLink, Thermo Fisher Scientific). C18 Sep-Pak SPE cartridge was used to separate [18F]FDR and [18F]FDG from the 18F-fluoroglycoconjugate end product. Results [18F]FDR and [18F]FDG were efficiently purified from their precursors, free fluorine-18, and other impurities. The aldehyde resin quantitatively removed the unreacted aminooxy precursors after the oxime formation. The fluorine-18 labeled oxime end products were obtained with high radiochemical purity (>99%) and molar activity (>600 GBq μmol−1). Wilson Loop-Loop Correlators in AdS/QCD
We calculate the expectation value of one circular Wilson loop and the
correlator of two concentric circular Wilson loops in AdS/QCD using the
modified AdS_5-metric given in Ref.[1]. The confinement properties of this
metric in AdS/QCD are analyzed and compared with QCD and Nambu-Goto theory in

Exhaust emissions of non-road mobile machine : Real-world and laboratory studies with diesel and HVO fuels
Exhaust emissions emitted by a non-road mobile machine were studied chasing a tractor in real-world conditions and repeating the same transient tests with a similar engine on an engine dynamometer where additionally, non-road steady state tests were carried out. The engines were equipped with an oxidation catalyst (DOC) and a selective catalytic reduction (SCR)system, and they were fuelled by fossil diesel fuel with ultra-low sulphur content and hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO). By substituting diesel fuel with HVO the on-road emissions of nitrogen oxides (NOx) reduced 20% and particle number 44%, the emission factors being EFNOx =1.62 +/- 0.04 g/kWh and EFN = (28.2 +/- 7.8) x 10(13) #/kWh. Similar trend was observed for NOx at laboratory although the emissions were somewhat smaller than on-road. In contrast to real-world, in the laboratory experiment the EFN was only 2% smaller with HVO than with diesel, and these emission factors were almost one order of magnitude smaller than observed on-road. The number size distribution and volatility measurements showed that in real-world experiments small nucleation mode particles were formed during uphill and during downhill in engine braking conditions. These were not observed at laboratory. However, nucleation mode particles were observed in the laboratory experiments at high load steady driving conditions. Beings in their own right? Exploring Children and young people's sibling and twin relationships in the Minority World
This paper examines the contributions that the sociological study of sibship and twinship in the Minority World can make to childhood studies. It argues that, in providing one forum within which to explore children and young people's social relationships, we can add to our understanding of children and young people's interdependence and develop a more nuanced understanding of agency. As emergent subjects, children, young people and adults are in a process of ‘becoming’. However, this does not mean that they can ‘become’ anything they choose to. The notion of negotiated interdependence (Punch 2002) is useful in helping us to grasp the contingent nature of children and young people's agency
Phenomenology of AdS/QCD and Its Gravity Dual
We construct the dilaton potential in the gravity dual theory of AdS/QCD for
the warp factor of Refs.{1,2}. Using this AdS_5-metric with properties similar
to QCD, we find that the gravity dual leads to a meaningful gauge coupling in
the region between the charmonium and bottonium mass, but differs slightly from
QCD in the extreme UV. When we fix the ultraviolet behavior in accord with the
beta-function, we can obtain good agreement with the overall heavy
quark-antiquark potential. Although the leading order proportional to
-\alpha^{4/3}/r differs from perturbative QCD, the full potential agrees quite
well with the short distance QCD potential in NNLO.Comment: 42 pages, 13 figures, 1 tabl
Spatial correlators in strongly coupled plasmas
We numerically calculate the spatial correlators of the scalar and
pseudoscalar operators and , in SU(3) Yang-Mills theory at
zero and finite-temperature on the lattice. We compare the results over the
distances to the free-field prediction, to the
operator-product expansion as well as to the strongly coupled large-
\sN=4 super-Yang-Mills theory, where results are obtained by AdS/CFT methods.
For , both channels exhibit stronger spatial correlations than
in the vacuum, and we give an explanation for this, using sum-rules and the
operator-product expansion. The AdS/CFT calculation provides a
semi-quantitatively successful description of the vacuum-subtracted
correlator, renormalized in the 3-loop scheme, in the
interval of temperatures , while the free-field prediction has
the wrong sign. The and correlators are predicted to have the
same functional form both at weak coupling and in the strongly coupled SYM
theory. The Yang-Mills plasma does not meet that expectation below .
Instead we find that strong fluctuations of are present at least up
to that temperature. We discuss the impact of our results on our understanding
