    The problem that is used as the object of research is that the leadership style applied to employees is still not good, there are communication barriers between superiors and employees that are still less effective and regulations regarding work discipline that must be obeyed by employees. This research was conducted with the aim of analyzing the factors that influence the performance of our restaurant kedai kita in Bogor. Data collection was through questionnaires and the data analysis technique used in this research was a quantitative method with the help of the SPSS 22.0 program. The assessment system used in this research is a Likert scale. This research uses multiple linear regression analysis. The population in this study was all restaurant employees, totaling 60 people. The sampling technique in this research used saturated sampling. The research results concluded that leadership style had a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Communication has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Work discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee performance

    Effect of methyl jasmonater on trigonelline content of suspension cell culture of Abrus Precatorius

    Trigonelline was a plant hormone that is built up in a plant from the methylation of the nitrogen atom of niacin. It was responsible for induction of G2 phase arrest in the root apices of many plant species. Trigonelline was also capable of reducing the blood sugar level and thus treating diabetes type II. In this study, effect of methyl jasmonate, MeJa (50 µM, 100 µM and 200 µM) on trigonelline content in suspension cell culture of Abrus precatorius using High Performance –Liquid Chromatography for trigonelline was investigated. The effect of different inoculum size (0.1 g and 0.5 g) on cell biomass and trigonelline content of suspension cell culture of A.precatorius was studied. Suspension cell culture of A. precatorius was developed in a 100 mL conical flask containing 30 mL MS medium supplemented with 0.5 mg/L kinetin and 0.5 mg/L 2, 4- D. Results showed that 0.5 g inoculum had higher cell biomass with maximum biomass of 0.0795 g than 0.1 g inoculum that had biomass decrement throughout the culture. Furthermore, addition of 50 µM MeJa had multiplied trigonelline content to five times (6.62 mg/L) compared to the control (1.41 mg/L) for a period of 2 weeks. The correlation coefficient test indicated that cell biomass was not correlated with trigonelline content. Different increment of cell biomass with trigonelline suggested that trigonelline was not involved in regulating cell cycle of A. precatorius. In conclusion, 0.5 g inoculum size was a better size compared to 0.1 g inoculum suspension cell culture. The optimum trigonelline during cell growth of A.precatorius was also discovered

    Correlation analysis of agronomic characteristic in F2 population in rice (Otyza sativa) / Mohd Faridhul Atrash Ahmad Ramly

    Rice is a common staple food for all Malaysian consumers, but with the population of 26 million and annual growth rate of 2.5%, there is a need to increase the rice grain production to ensure food security through the promotion of rice selfsufficiency. However there is some problem in producing the good quality of rice especially for F2 population. This study performed to determine the association between agronomic characteristics components in sixty-three selected rice genotypes at F2 populations. Results on correlation coefficient analysis showed that there are strong positive correlations between filled grains per panicle with total grain number (r = 0.768) followed by correlation between filled grains per panicle with 1000-grain weight (r = 0.678). Path coefficient analysis revealed that filled grains per panicles were directly associated with total grain number and 1000-grain weight. The greatest indirect effect belonged to grain length, plant height and number of tillers. Information obtained in this study revealed that traits, filled grains per panicle, total grain number, 1000-grain weight, panicle length and flag leaf length could be used as selection criteria for grain yield improvement at segregating populations of rice

    Shaping futures of prison inmates and former prisoners via higher education: A conceptual study on social return on investment assessment for stakeholders

    Companies largely play a role in corporate social responsibility (CSR) programmes by engaging with stakeholders including employees, customers, investors, communities and suppliers for financial, environmental and/or social impacts. Contribution quantum is rarely assessed or calculated when it concerns CSR as it is explicitly recognised as the willingness of an organisation to contribute to the community within the ethical norms of charity although strategically CSR can increase revenues by decreasing risks and costs. This study highlights the unique contributions of various stakeholders who wish to make positive and sustainable impact on the socially challenged community – the prisoners. One such engagement is the provision of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes for prisoners in selected Malaysian prisons by Open University Malaysia (OUM), with the partnership of the Prisons Department of Malaysia. It is an economic empowerment programme to rehabilitate and educate its inmates and create employment opportunities if and when they are released. Social Return On Investment (SROI) is a method for measuring and communicating values that incorporates social, environmental and economic impacts to stakeholders. It is an accounting of value created by the activities and the contributions that made the activity possible. Results will be expressed in a ratio of total benefits (a sum of all the outcomes) to total investments (a sum of all costs involved). The purpose of this conceptual study is to calculate the ratio of Ringgit Malaysia (RM) of social value created for every RM1 spent on its activities. Inmates who are accepted into OUM’s programmes attend face-to-face tutorials conducted by OUM tutors and sit for examinations in the prison. They are supported by OUM’s online learning management system where they manage their studies, submit their assignments and access the digital library. (Abstract by authors

    Persepsi Masyarakat Terhadap Ruang Terbuka Hijau di Alun – alun Kota Malang dan Kota Batu

    Ruang terbuka hijau merupakan komponen yang selalu diperhitungkan dalam proses perencanaan perkotaan apabila ruang terbuka hijau berkurang akan menimbulkan suatu permasalahan lingkungan. Menurut undang – undang no. 26 tahun 2007 tentang penataan ruang perkotaan, bahwa minimal untuk memenuhi ketentuan 20 % RTH publik dan 10 % RTH privat, diketahui area ruang terbuka hijau di wilayah Kota Malang dan Kota Batu maksimal dari ketentuan tersebut. Maka dibutuhkan peran dan tanggapan dari masyarakat tentang ruang terbuka hijau. Berdasarkan analisa data yang dilakukan, diperoleh kesimpulan jumlah vegetasi di area ruang terbuka hijau di Alun – alun Kota Malang ada 49 jenis tanaman dan rata rata suhu 29,9 ̊C, kelembaban udara 60,6 % dan kecepatan angin 1,26 m/s. Sedangkan jumlah vegetasi di area ruang terbuka hijau Alun – alun Kota Malang ada 40 jenis tanaman rata – rata suhu 28,1 ̊C, kelembaban udara 60,7 dan kecepatan angin 1,9 m/s. Persepsi pengunjung terhadap ruang terbuka hijau di Alun – alun Kota Malang tentang area ruang terbuka hijau memberikan kesan yang baik dan menarik mempunyai kategori tinggi dengan nilai sebesar 70,33 %, sedangkan untuk vegetasi di area ruang terbuka hijau sudah tertata rapi dan indah mempunyai kategori rendah dengan nilai sebesar 45,67 %. Persepsi pengunjung terhadap ruang terbuka hijau di Alun – alun Kota Batu tentang Kondisi ruang terbuka hijau sudah bebas dari banjir mempunyai kategori tinggi dengan nilai sebesar 69,00 %, sedangkan untuk Kondisi ruang terbuka hijau sudah bebas dari pencemaran udara mempunyai kategori tinggi dengan nilai sebesar 56,00 %.&nbsp

    An Intelligent-Data Management System (IDMS) for store separation analysis has been developed for Stores Separation Simulation program. The characteristics of the IDMS generically focuses on gathering, collecting, analysing, reporting, summarising and visualising validated data prior separation activity in simulated environment. The components of IDMS are Aircraft Configuration, Interface Configuration, Stores Geometry, Pylon Configuration and Cube (a multi-dimensional visibility of Form, Fit and Function stores-platform Data Verifier). Overall, this project combined information from separation patterns analysis by integrating multi-dimensional databases, systematic-data orchestration; rules based data mining for stores separation verifier into one data management system.     The Effects of Using Educational Videos in Online Learning: A Case Study for Basic Computer Science Subject

    This study was conducted to examine the effect of the use of educational videos in online learning which can attract students and help students understand the topic of learning more effectively. A quantitative design with a survey method was used in this study. The respondents of the study consisted of 43 teachers of Basic Computer Science subjects in the state of Perak who were selected by random sampling. A questionnaire form instrument was used to collect data based on a five-point Likert Scale. Data were analyzed by descriptive analysis where the mean amount was determined based on a predetermined level. The results show that the use of educational videos can help students understand the topics of learning effectively with an average mean value = of 4.40. In addition, educational videos also help attract students to learning topics with an average mean value = of 4.30. The implications of this study indicate that the use of educational videos in online learning is proven to have a positive impact on students

    A new hybrid of fuzzy c-means method and fuzzy linear regression model in predicting manufacturing income

    Analysis by human perception could not be solved using traditional method since uncertainty within the data have to be dealt with first. Thus, fuzzy structure system is considered. The objectives of this study are to determine suitable cluster by using fuzzy c-means (FCM) method, to apply existing methods such as multiple linear regression (MLR) and fuzzy linear regression (FLR) as proposed by Tanaka and Ni and to improve the FCM method and FLR model proposed by Zolfaghari to predict manufacturing income. This study focused on FLR which is suitable for ambiguous data in modelling. Clustering is used to cluster or group the data according to its similarity where FCM is the best method. The performance of models will measure by using the mean square error (MSE), the mean absolute error (MAE) and the mean absolute percentage error (MAPE). Results shows that the improvisation of FCM method and FLR model obtained the lowest value of error measurement with MSE=1.825 11 10 , MAE=115932.702 and MAPE=95.0366. Therefore, as the conclusion, a new hybrid of FCM method and FLR model are the best model for predicting manufacturing income compared to the other model
