Planning is one of the elements of management, next to organizing, motivating and control. It draws attention to the determinants and characteristics of the planning part and its particular importance in the project management process. Assessing the accuracy of the project timeline should be considered an essential part during planning stage. Neglecting to estimate timeline accuracy may lead to wrong decisions on acquisition of cost assessment and exposed to unforeseen events, risks, and deviations. Thus, the study was conducted to develop and evaluate new time cost relationship model based on previous 5 years projects under Department of Irrigation and Drainage Malaysia (JPS). To attempt this study, 47 projects under JPS Johor had been selected for evaluation and comparison. The data gathered through objective were measured and translated into table and scatter graph. The model was developed in line with the time cost model developed by Bromilow in 1980 where the predictive efficacy of a model measured in its coefficient determination of R2 . The R2 value indicated quite relevant as the study registered R2 value more than 0.7. The study further revealed that construction size measured by the cost has a far reaching effect on the time of completion indicated by the R2 value. Respondents with vast experiences have been interviewed to gather all data and information on disparity, similarity and effectiveness of current model practiced by their organizations. The data was tabulated into graph to acquire relevant information pertaining model of current practice in determining various project timeline and the effectiveness of model used in different organization. However, the others industry players are not practicing this model in their organizations as the other variables that they believed are important were keeping constants. The prediction efficacy of the model could be improved by incorporating other significant variables influencing construction durations. The results will be benefited as another comparison or assessment mechanism in getting comprehensive timeline during feasibility study. Findings of the study are expected to aid inputs to JPS in the direction to revise current theories which take place in 2020

The slogan of Indonesia, Bhineka Tunggal Ika, should involve the concept and the implementation of diversity and mutlicultualisme to strengthen the unity of Indonesia people. In fact, there are still found many conflicts in Indonesia caused by the different religiouns and culture among Indonesian people and it will cause the obstacle to reach the unity in Indonesia. The different religioun and culture has not given any positif impact to Indonesia. Unfortunely, it causes some conflicts, misunderstandings, and fightings in Indonesia. To minimize it, the schools should teach the value of togetherness and tolerancy in adjusting and implementing the diversity. This kind of education can be taught by using the concept of multiculturalism education. As the representation of Indonesian diversity, it is an appropriate decision to have Kalimantan Timus as the subject of this multiculturalism research

Hyaluronatelyase production by Streptococcus pneumoniae isolated from patients and carriers

Hyaluronatelyase produced by various microorganisms are capable of degrading hyaluronic acid in connective tissues and initiating the spread of infection by opening an access for the pathogen into host tissues. The present study attempts to determine the distribution of hyaluronatelyase-producing Streptococcus pneumoniae among invasive, non invasive and carriage isolates, and correlate it with the clinical sources, year of isolation, colonial morphology and their serotypes. A total of 100 isolates from various clinical samples were selected and screened for hyaluronatelyase production and presence of the encoding SpnHyl gene. All isolates possessed SpnHyl gene. Ninety-six isolates including 34 carriage isolates were positive for production of hyaluronatelyase. Four hyaluronatelyase-negative isolates were from blood (2 isolates) and sputum (2 isolates). No significant association was detected among hyaluronatelyase production and bacterial characteristics except for colonial morphology (p = 0.040). High percentages of hyaluronatelyase production in these isolates suggest their possible role as human pathogens

HUBUNGAN RED BLOOD CELL DISTRIBUTION (RDW) DENGAN NATIONAL INSTITUTES OF HEALTH STROKE SCALE (NIHSS) PADA PASIEN STROKE ISKEMIK AKUT YANG DIRAWAT DI UNIT STROKE RSUP DR. SARDJITO

Latar Belakang: Stroke iskemik menyebabkan terjadinya inflamasi sel.

A high number of infections from year to year require infectious diseases to get serious attention. The antimicrobial compound exploration must be continued to anticipate the development of infectious diseases. The purpose of this study was to find out in vitro antimicrobial activity of n-hexane, ethyl acetate, and ethanol fractions of Piper betle green leaves against S. aureus, and profiles of secondary metabolite compounds contained in these three extracts. The antimicrobial activity test was carried out by disk diffusion test of the fraction of n-hexane, ethyl acetate, and ethanol at a concentration of 6,25, 12,5, and 18,75 µg/disk. Detection of secondary metabolite content was done by the Thin Layer Chromatography method with stain-view reagents. The highest antimicrobial activity was found in the ethyl acetate fraction and was significantly different from the activity in the ethanol and n-hexane fractions. However, the antibacterial activity of all fractions was lower compared to the positive control of amoxiclav 30µg/disk. The phytochemical screening results of secondary metabolites of each fraction were shown that the n-hexane fraction contained alkaloids, terpenoids, flavonoids, polyphenols, and anthraquinone; the ethyl acetate fraction contained terpenoids, polyphenols, and anthraquinone; while the ethanol fraction contained alkaloids, terpenoids, polyphenols, and anthraquinone. Based on the test results, it is concluded that all fractions of Piper betle leaf extract had high antimicrobial activity; meanwhile, the ethyl acetate fraction had the highest activities among others. Each fraction was proven to have a different composition of secondary metabolites
