    On the benefit of logic-based approach to learn pairwise comparisons

    In recent years, many daily processes such as internet web searching, e-mail filtering, social media services, e-commerce have benefited from Machine Learning (ML) techniques. The implementation of ML techniques has been largely focused on black box methods where the general conclusions are not easily interpretable. Hence, the elaboration with other declarative software models to identify the correctness and completeness of the models is not easy to perform. On the other hand, the emerge of some logic-based machine learning approaches that can overcome such limitations with their white box methods has been proven to be well-suited for many software engineering tasks. In this paper, we propose the use of a logic-based approach to learn user preference in the form of pairwise comparisons. APARELL as a novel approach of inductive learning is able to model the user’s preferences in Description Logic(DL) and then build a model by generalising the concept for all examples given. This offers a rich, relational representation beyond the usual propositional domain, which is then can be used to produce a set of recommendations. A user study has been performed in our experiment to evaluate the implementation of pairwise preference recommender system when compared to a standard list interface. The result of the experiment shows that the pairwise interface was significantly better than the other interface in many ways

    Evaluation of Disaster Course Learning Methods in the Academic Phase of Medical Education Study Program

    This study was designed to evaluate students and lecturer perceptions of the learning methods used in Disaster Course. A qualitative cross-sectional descriptive study with focus group discussion (FGD) was conducted. Twenty students and eight Disaster’s lecturers in Faculty of Medicine Universitas Ahmad Dahlan participated in the study. The results showed that students have different perceptions from lectures. Students assessed the learning methods used are less effective due to their role as a passive learner. While the lectures assessed the effectiveness of their teaching methods varied according their ability to teach in large classes.&nbsp

    Learning Media In Mathematics Education: A Bibliometric Analysis

    This bibliometric analysis investigates the development of instructional media in mathematics education. As mathematics education is crucial for various fields, including science, technology, economics, and business, identifying effective learning media is essential to improve the quality of mathematics learning. This bibliometric analysis examines the trends, subject areas, and types of documents related to the use of instructional media in mathematics education. Results show an increasing trend in publications, with conference papers and scientific journal articles being the most common document types. The study highlights the importance of considering factors related to the learning environment, student involvement, and achievement when developing effective learning media, especially online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The findings provide insights for mathematics educators, researchers, and policymakers to improve mathematics learning quality and suggest further research directions

    INTERNALISASI URGENSI PENCEGAHAN PELECEHAN DAN KEKERASAN SEKSUAL BAGI SISWA

    The purpose of this activity is to provide an understanding and also to increase the knowledge of students, especially in MAN 2 Malang City about education regarding the prevention of sexual harassment and violence as a self-help before entering the campus world. The method used is in the form of socialization. While this socialization activity is carried out in two ways, the first is the presentation of the socialization material by the resource person using the talk show method, then the second is continued with group discussions. Don't forget that at the end of the activity there is an evaluation in the form of a post-test to find out how far the students' understanding is after getting this socialization briefing. The data that the author collects are reports of activities in the field which are supported by documentation in the form of photos and videos of activities, which are then analyzed and processed to be presented descriptively in this article. The subjects of this activity were fifty students at MAN 2 Malang City consisting of twenty student council students and 30 students for each class 11 head and administrator. The implementation of this socialization activity went smoothly as planned, the students were very enthusiastic and also eager to ask various questions. By carrying out this activity, students get an idea of how to act if there are acts of harassment and sexual violence that occur around them.Tujuan dari adanya kegiatan ini yaitu untuk memberikan suatu pemahaman dan juga untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan siswa, khususnya di MAN 2 Kota Malang mengenai edukasi seputar pencegahan pelecehan dan kekerasan seksual sebagai pembekalan diri sebelum memasuki dunia kampus. Metode yang digunakan yaitu berupa sosialisasi. Adapun kegiatan sosialisasi ini dilakukan dengan dua cara, yang pertama yaitu pemaparan materi sosialisasi oleh narasumber dengan metode talk show kemudian yang kedua dilanjut dengan diskusi secara berkelompok. Tidak lupa di akhir kegiatan terdapat evaluasi berupa post-test untuk mengetahui seberapa jauh pemahaman siswa setelah mendapatkan pembekalan sosialisasi ini. Data yang penulis kumpulkan yakni laporan kegiatan di lapangan yang didukung dengan dokumentasi baik berupa foto maupun video kegiatan, yang kemudian dianalisis serta diolah untuk disajikan secara deskriptif di artikel ini. Subyek kegiatan ini yaitu 50 siswa di MAN 2 Kota Malang yang terdiri dari 20 siswa OSIS dan 30 siswa tiap ketua dan pengurus kelas 11. Pelaksanaan kegiatan sosialisasi ini berjalan dengan lancar sesuai rencana, terlihat para siswa sangat antusias dan juga bersemangat mengajukan berbagai pertanyaan. Dengan dilaksanakannya kegiatan ini, para siswa memperoleh gambaran bagaimana cara bertindak apabila terdapat tindak pelecehan serta kekerasan seksual yang terjadi di sekitar mereka

    KECEMASAN DAN KEMAMPUAN ANALOGI MATEMATIS DALAM MODEL PEMBELAJARAN TREFFINGER BERDASARKAN KEPRIBADIAN

    Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengukur tingkat kecemasan dan kemampuan analogi matematis siswa dalam pembelajaran menggunakan model treffinger berdasarkan kepribadian mereka. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan melibatkan 39 orang siswa MTsN 1 Aceh Tengah kelas VII. Data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dari tes analogi, angket kecemasan, dan angket kepribadian siswa. Analisis dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji t dan uji Mann-Whitney. Berdasarkan analisis yang dilakukan diketahui bahwa terdapat 23 siswa dengan kepribadian ekstrovert dan 16 siswa dengan kepribadian introvert. Setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran treffinger, diketahui bahwa siswa berada pada tingkat kecemasan matematis sedang dengan rentang , dan tidak terdapat perbedaan kecemasan matematis antara siswa dengan kepribadian ekstrovert dan introvert. Pada kemampuan analogi matematis, terdapat perbedaan kemampuan antara siswa dengan kepribadian ekstrovert dan introvert. Siswa dengan kepribadian ekstrovert menguasai semua tahapan encoding, infering, mapping, dan applying, sedangkan siswa dengan kepribadian introvert hanya menguasai tahapan encoding, infering dan applying.The purpose of this study was to measure the level of anxiety and mathematical analogy ability of students in learning using the treffinger model based on their personality. This research is a quantitative research involving 39 students of MTsN 1 Aceh Tengah class VII. The data in this study were obtained from analogy tests, anxiety questionnaires, and student personality questionnaires. The analysis was performed using the t test and the Mann-Whitney test. Based on the analysis, it is known that there are 23 students with extroverted personalities and 16 students with introverted personalities. After applying the Treffinger learning model, it is known that students are at a moderate level of mathematical anxiety with a range of 83.2<X<108.8, and there is no difference in mathematical anxiety between students with extroverted and introverted personalities. In mathematical analogy ability, there are differences in abilities between students with extroverted and introverted personalities.     The purpose of the study was to describe the use of reading guide strategies in Akidah Akhlak subjects, Learning achievement in Aqidah Akhlak subjects. The effect of reading guide strategies on learning achievement in Aqidah Akhlak subjects. This study uses a quantitative approach. The population in this study was all eighth-grade students. Considering that the population in this study was less than 100 people, the researchers took 100% of the population. So this research is a population study. In this study, data were collected using interviews to determine the use of reading guide strategies, questionnaires to determine the effect of reading guide strategies, and using report cards to determine learning achievement. The result of this research is that there is an influence of the reading guide strategy on the learning achievement of Aqidah Akhlak, the result is 0.590 where the significance value is greater than the "r" table, both at the 5% significance level and at the 1% significance level

    Development of Discovery Model-Based Learning Tool Using Cabri 3D Interactive Multimedia to Improve Students’ Mathematics Communication Ability

    This study aims to develop learning tools using discovery learning models assisted by the 3D Cabri application to improve students' mathematical communication ability. This research is a development research using the 4-D Thiagarajan model which consists of 4 stages, namely define, design, develop and dissemination. The research subjects were students of SMP Negeri 5 Aceh Tengah class IX. The research instruments used were the lesson plan validation sheet, the student worksheet validation sheet, and mathematical communication ability test validation sheets, teacher response questionnaires and student response questionnaires. Data analysis techniques are validity analysis, practicality analysis and effectiveness analysis. Based on the test results, the average assessment of the three aspects of the lesson plan is 4.01 with valid criteria. The average assessment of the three aspects of the student worksheet is 4.05 with valid criteria. The average score on the three aspects of the mathematical communication test is 3.65 with valid criteria. The practicality analysis uses a teacher response questionnaire with an average practicality score of 85% and is included in the very practical category. Based on the results of the students’ response questionnaire data analysis, it was concluded that students had a positive response, namely 92.12% of the components and learning activities so that they showed effective results. The data on the effectiveness of learning outcomes were obtained from the pre-test and post-test scores of students' cognitive in learning using n-gain and the average value of the results of increasing mathematical communication ability was 0.70 which stated that mathematical communication ability increased in the medium category. The validation and testing of learning tools show that the learning tools meet the criteria for the learning tools developed, referring to being valid, practical, and effective

    Rendahnya kreativitas siswa kelas VIII SMP IT Az-Zahra Takengon, dapat menghambat siswa dalam mengoptimalkan daya imajinasi daya kreasi dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika. Rendahnya kemampuan kreativitas siswa dapat disebabkan oleh kurang tepatnya  pendekatan yang digunakan guru, sehingga untuk meminimalisir hal tersebut perlu adanya suatu pendekatan yang lebih efektif. Pendekatan STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) merupakan salah satu pendekatan yang baik digunakan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kreativitas siswa. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan kreativitas siswa melalui pendekatan STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) di kelas VIII SMP IT Az-Zahra Takengon. Metode penelitian yang bersifat kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriftif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 4 kelas, Sampel yang akan digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah sampel bentuk purposive sampling atau pertimbangan tertentu yaitu: Siswa yang memiliki kemampuan kreativitas paling rendah dibandingkan kelas lainnya yang di lihat dari  hasil rata-rata siswa, kelas VIII-1 nilai rata-ratanya 40, kelas VIII-2 nilai rata-ratanya 44, kelas VIII nilai rata-ratanya 29, kelas VIII-4 nilai rata-ratanya 30 Berdasarkan pra penelitian, persetujuan responden yang diizinkan pada masa pandemi (covid-19) Dari syarat di atas subjek penelitian yang diambil adalah kelas VIII-3. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini adalah Tes tertulis berbentuk uraian, soal berjumlah 5 soal. Soal terdiri dari 5 soal preteas dan 5 soal posttest, untuk melihat peningkatan kemampuan kreativitas siswa, akan digunkan uji gain ternomalisasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan kreativitas siswa dalam melakukan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa melalui pendekatan STEM. Sebanyak 62%  responden mengalami peningkatan kemampuan kreativitas dalam kategori tinggi, 33% dalam kategori sedang dan 5 % dalam kategori rendah. Dan secara keseluruhan kemampuan kreativitas matematis siswa di kelas VIII SMP IT Al-Zahra mengalami peningkatan dalam kategori tinggi dengan nilai gain ternomalisasi sebesar 0,7
