En este artículo se aportan nuevos datos de bordadores compostelanos de los siglos XVI y XVII. Se incluyen noticias relacionadas con la vida de estos artífices y con la producción artística de los mismos, es decir, contratos, conciertos, etc. Es el resultado de un minucioso trabajo de investigación en el archivo de la Catedral de Santiago de Compostela y en el Histórico Universitario de la misma ciudad. Con ello pretendemos profundizar en esta parcela de la historia del arte gallega por muchos olvidada y marcar un punto de partida a futuras investigacionesIn this article there is contributed new information from Santiago de Compostela embroiderers of the 16th and 17th century. This paper proposes an approach to the countercultural and new wave phenomena, punk and artistic vanguards of the eighties in Chile, into the context of the military dictatorship, and in Spain, coinciding with the Spanish transition to democracy process and the culture called La Movida Madrileña. The paper will try to define the nature of both models, and understand the evolution in relation to the contexts, from a minority and space to a most influential position in the process of social changes. We also highlight the value of the alternative culture as generator way for experimentation and new ideas, and determining factor in the construction of modern societies.Este artículo plantea un acercamiento a los fenómenos contraculturales de la new wave, el punk y las vanguardias artísticas de los años ochenta, y su nacimiento y posterior desarrollo en los entornos de Chile, bajo la dictadura de Augusto Pinochet, y España, coincidiendo con el proceso de transición a la democracia, en la cultura denominada La Movida Madrileña. Trataremos de definir la naturaleza de ambos modelos, y comprender su evolución en relación al contexto, desde un espacio marginal y minoritario hasta una posición más influyente en los procesos de cambio social. También entender el verdadero valor de la cultura alternativa dentro de estos procesos de cambio sociopolítico, como espacio sogenerador de experimentación y nuevas ideas, y factor determinante en la construcción de sociedades más abierta

Factorial Structure and Measurement Invariance of the Acceptance and Action Questionnaire-Stigma (AAQ-S) in Spain

The objective of the present study was to validate and adapt the Acceptance and Action Questionnaire-Stigma (AAQ-S) to the Spanish context. Method: The study included the participation of 1212 subjects, with an average age of 17.12 years old. Results: The confirmatory factorial analysis revealed a number of adequate fit indices for the new version of the scale χ2/df = 3.24; Comparative Fit Index = 0.96; Incremental Fit Index = 0.96; Root Mean Square Error of Approximation = 0.060; Standardized Root Mean Square Residual = 0.035, in which the factorial structures displayed gender invariance. The two factors comprise the scale both exhibited high internal consistency (+0.90) and temporal stability. Conclusion: The Spanish version of the AAQ-S proved to be a robust and adequate psychometric instrument. In this sense, future lines of research focused on determining the role of psychological flexibility in stigma and the processes of change at the base of interventions could benefit substantially from the use of AAQ-S

Los requena, una enigmática familia de pintores del renacimiento : A propósito de Gaspar Requena "El Joven"

[email protected] recientes exposiciones que viene realizando la Fundación “La Luz de las Imágenes” en el ámbito de las distintas diócesis valencianas no sólo ha acercado al público numerosas obras de arte en condiciones de ser vistas y admiradas, sino que también ha posibilitado su estudio. En ese contexto presentamos un acercamiento al taller de los Requena; una familia de pintores activa en el Reino de Valencia entre 1531 y 1605 aproximadamente que, en su desigual producción, deja entrever las innegables deudas con Paolo da San Leocadio, los Hernandos y, particularmente, Joan de Joanes.Recent exhibitions produced by the Foundation La Luz de las Imágenes in Valencian dioceses has allowed for numerous works of art to be seen, admired and studied under optimal conditions. In this context we offer an approach to the workshop of the Requena family, painters active in the Kingdom of Valencia between approximately 1531 and 1605. These artists, in their uneven production, owed much to Paolo da San Leocadio, the Hernandos and particularly, Joan de Joanes

Immune System and Its Relationships with Pathogens: Structure, Physiology, and Molecular Biology

Ticks are of vast medical and veterinary public health importance due to direct damage in livestock by its hematophagous feeding habits and its potential as a vector capable to transmit infectious agents such as Tick-borne diseases. Currently, the knowledge of vertebrates’ immune system contributes to the advance in vaccine and drug development, resulting in new drugs that help to control human and livestock pathogens. Unfortunately, very small advances have been achieved in tick’s immune system that could help to develop new strategies designated to control tick-borne diseases and other arthropod vectors. On this subject, the study of the mechanisms involved is transcendental as is also the study on molecules, cells, and regulation of immune response involved in signaling pathways in ticks. The progress on the understanding of ticks’ physiology represents a necessary advance in molecular approaches related with a tick’s immune response, involved in host-vector-pathogen interaction, and, in turn, evolutionary relationships. Current knowledge on tick’s immune response to different kinds of pathogens is described in this chapter and the use of modern molecular tools to fill the gaps on different aspects in tick immunobiology that still is unclear or under study
