    Hubungan Karakteristik Individu dengan Kompetensi Wirausaha Petani Rumput Laut di Sulawesi Selatan

    Seaweed farmers are those farmers who have seaweeds farming in rural coastal area, as their moyor income. The objective of this study was to determine the degree of relationship between individual characteristics of seaweed farmers and their entrepreneurship or business competence. Data were collected in July to October2006 from the 280 seaweed farmers. Data were analyzed by Kendal Concordance and Tau_b Path analysis and Pearson procedures. The important results of the study were as follows: (1) most of them are young, low educated, family size is sedentary, low family income, low in media utilization and sedentary in experience, motivation and capital, (2) two groups of competence were perceived (competence-importance) showed that the existence of positive correlation or high agreement, (3) Degree of all individual characteristic showed high positive correlation or high agreement for rank ten component of entrepreneur or business competence, (4) Mostly individual characteristic have significant relationship to entrepreneurship competence with existence of indirect and direct influence to some individual characteristics through entrepreneur or business competence and also direct to productions and incomes of seaweed farmer

    Pertumbuhan dan Sintasan Kuda Laut (Hippocampus barbouri) dalam Keramba Jaring Apung

    Kuda laut merupakan salah satu jenis ikan hias air laut yang banyak diminati, selain untuk tujuan estetika sebagai ikan hias akuarium, juga dalam keadaan kering digunakan sebagai bahan baku obat tradisional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pertumbuhan dan sintasan kuda laut, H. barbouri yang dipelihara dalam keramba jaring apung (KJA). Penelitian dilaksanakan di laksanakan di Teluk Laikang Kabupaten Takalar. Pemeliharaan kuda laut dalam karamba jaring apung menggunakan kurungan yang terbuat dari kain organdi dan berbentuk persegi panjang dengan ukuran 0,80 (p) x 0,80 (l) x 1,5 (t) m. Sebanyak 6 buah kurungan kuda laut ditempatkan dalam satu petak keramba jaring apung berukuran 3 x 3 m. Setiap kurungan ditebar benih kuda laut sebanyak 50 ekor dengan ukuran kisaran panjang 2,5 – 3 cm. Pakan yang diberikan berupa Artemia dewasa hidup dan pemberian pakan segar seperti udang misys beku. Hasil pemeliharaan kuda laut dalam KJA diperoleh pertumbuhan kuda laut mencapai ukuran kisaran panjang 5,06 hingga 5,15 cm, dengan rata-rata pertumbuhan mutlak kuda laut 2,4 cm dan rata-rata laju pertumbuhan hariannya sebesar 0,040 cm/hari serta sintasan sebesar 43,33%. Kata Kunci: pertumbuhan, sintasan, KJA, Hippocampus barbouri.

    Physical, thermal, and mechanical properties of polypropylene composites filled with rattan nanoparticles

    Natural fillers are recognized as the materials that feature a poor fiber/matrix interaction. As a result, their composites behaviors are directly compromised. Existing evidence has exhibited that nanoparticle fillers can be employed as an alternative size to overcome this problem. We thus examined in this study the effects of rattan filler of nanoparticle size on the physical, thermal, and mechanical properties of the composite. Neat polypropylene (PP), PP with 5% rattan nanoparticle (PP/R5), and PP with 5% glass fiber (PP/FG5) were considered. For performance assessment, particle size analysis, morphology, X-ray diffraction, thermal inspection, and mechanical tests were carried out. The highest degree of crystallinity was discovered in PP/R5. Tensile properties of both PP/FG5 and PP/R5 were comparable although the former demonstrated higher moduli of elasticity and rupture. Well-distributed constituents were displayed in PP/R5 by means of morphological study, which offered insight into its highest average hardness, maximum strain, and therefore its advantageous ductile behavior compared to the other considered materials

    Law Number 19 of 2019 concerning the Law on Corruption Eradication Commission which is a renewal of Law Number 31 of 1999 as amended by Law Law No. 20 of 2001 concerning Eradication of Corruption, instead of Law number 3 of 1971. The enactment of this law is expected to accelerate the growth of people’s welfare, responding to the evil nature contained in corruption. The problem in this study is how is the authority of police investigators in eradicating criminal acts of corruption after the issuance of Law Number 19 of 2019 concerning Law on Corruption Eradication Commission and what obstacles faced by investigators related to the authority of police investigators in eradicating criminal acts of corruption after the issuance of Law on Corruption Law Number 19 of 2019 concerning Law on Corruption Eradication Commission. The method in this study uses descriptive qualitative research methods with a normative juridical approach. The results of this study are : (1) The authority of police investigators is to carry out investigations. Investigation activities are a follow-up to investigations that have found the construction of corruption crimes that have occurred to some extent. The law gives special rights or privileges to investigators to carry out investigative functions such as summoning, examining, arresting, detaining, confiscating, and determining suspects. (2) The obstacles faced concerning the authority of police investigators are a) The number of members of criminal investigators is limited. b) Information received regarding criminal acts of corruption is still unclear and in detail. c) Operating costs that have not been met. d) Lack of public legal awareness. The solution to the obstacles faced is by a) Gradually increasing the number of criminal investigators. b) Speed up all access to information related to criminal acts of corruption. c) The government needs to increase the operational cost budget item. d) It is necessary to hold outreach to the community either directly or through electronic media or social media

    Green synthesis of silver nanoparticles using muntingia calabura leaf extract and evaluation of antibacterial activities

    The present work aims to investigate a green synthesis of AgNPs using Muntingia calabura leaf extract as reducing and stabilizing agents. The AgNPs formation was monitored using UV-Vis spectrophotometer. Characterisations of AgNPs size and shape were observed by TEM. The elemental analysis was analyzed using XDS. The maximum surface Plasmon resonance for AgNPs was detected at 425-430 nm. This study revealed that the AgNPs were polydispersed and polycrystalline nature. The microbial inhibition test against Escherichia coli and Bacillus cereus showed that the muntingia leaf-mediated AgNPs had inhibited the growth of these bacteria, as indicated by the formation of inhibition zone. The average inhibition zone for Escherichia coli was 10.3±0.5 mm and for Bacillus cereus at 9.5±0.6 mm. TEM results showed that the synthesised AgNPs have spherical form with the sizes ranging from 22 to 37 nm. Hence, the synthesised AgNPs can potentially be applied for water treatment and medicinal purposes

    SEAGRASS DISTRIBUTION BASED ON THEIR SEDIMENT CHARACTERISTICS IN PUNTONDO WATERS, TAKALAR DISTRICT, SOUTH SULAWESI, INDONESIA

    Seagrass distribution is influenced by many factors, including sediment characteristics. This study aims to determine the distribution of seagrass based on their sediment characteristics. Observations and sampling were carried out in the waters of the Puntondo Bay, Takalar Regency. This study observed the cover and density of seagrass species, water depth, water transparency, sediment’s total organic matter and size of sediment grains. There were five species of seagrass found in the area, namely Enhalus acoroides, Thalassia hemprichii, Cymodocea rotundata, Halophila ovalis and Syringodium isoetifolium with sediment types of medium sand and coarse sand. Results of the regression analysis showed that the relationship between sediment particle size and seagrass density with the  highest coeficient determination (R2=0,3346) was in seagrass Cymodocea rotundata, whereas the lowest was in  Syringodium isoetifolium.     Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pretasi mata pelajaran Fisika dengan tingkat pengetahuan siswa pada teknologi sepeda motor di SMK Negeri 7 Takalar, kontribusi pretasi mata pelajaran Fisika terhadap tingkat pengetahuan siswa pada teknologi sepeda motor di SMK Negeri 7 Takalar. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini tergolong penelitian korelasi yang dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif diolah menggunakan aplikasi SPSS 24, yang mana mau melihat kekuatan hubungan antara variabel bebas dan variabel terikat. Selanjutnya dilihat besarnya kontribusi variabel bebas terhadap variabel terikat, data dikumpulkan melalui instrumen dokumentasi, dan tes. Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis statistik inferensial parametrik yaitu Regresi Linier Sederhana. Regresi Linier Sederhana digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis. Pengujian hipotesis statistik menggunakan tingkat kesalahan 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan dengan kekuatan sedang antara mata pelajaran Fisika dengan pengetahuan TDSM pada jurusan Teknologi dan Bisnis Sepeda Motor (TBSM) di SMK Negeri 7 Takalar dengan Kontribusi mata pelajaran Fisika terhadap pengetahuan TDSM pada jurusan Teknologi dan Bisnis Sepeda Motor (TBSM) di SMK Negeri 7 Takalar sebesar 31,8 %.     Kemampuan Mendiagnosa Kerusakan Chasis Kendaraan Ringan Mahasiswa PTO FT UNM

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap kemampuan mahasiswa jurusan PTO FT UNM dalam hal ini endiagnosa kerusakan yang terjadi pada chasis kendaraan ringan secara keseluruhan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif. Populasi pada penelitian adalah seluruh mahasiswa Pendidikan Teknik otomotif FT UNM yang telah melulusi mata kuliah chasis dan diagnosa otomotif mulai angkatan 2017 sampai 2021, teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampel. Teknik analisis datayang digunakan adalah statisti deskriptif dengan kecenderungan variabel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan mahasiswa jurusan PTO FT UNM dalam hal mendiagnosa kerusakan yang terjadipada; (1) keseluruhan chasis kendaraan ringan sebagian besar kemampuan mahasiswa berada pada kategori cukup mampu dan mampu (2) sistem kemudi sebagian besar mahasiswa berada pada kategori mampu dan sangat mampu (3) sistem suspensi sebagian besar pada kategori mampu(4) sistem rem berada pada kategori mampu(5)sistem FWA sebagian besarpada kategori mampu dan sangat mampu

    Nutritional Status of Toddler Children in Cikoang Village, Mangarabombang District, Takalar District

    Nutritional status is the end result of the balance between the food that enters the body (nutrient input) and the body's need (nutrient output) for those nutrients. In other words, the state of the body as a result of food consumption and the use of nutrients. Nutrient requirements are determined by many factors, including: basal metabolic rate, growth rate, physical activity, and relative factors, namely: ingestion, differences in absorption, utilization, and differences in excretion and destruction of nutrients in the body. A sample of 82 children aged between 2.5 and 5.0 years and 114 households representing adulthood was observed in two villages with Maudu' rituals, and 99 and 134 households in two villages without Maudu' rituals. The research was conducted in Cikoang Village, Takalar District. The results of this study indicate that the nutritional status of children under five in Cikoang Village is not good and needs attention from related parties in helping to improve child nutrition in Cikoang Village

    Novel weed-extracted silver nanoparticles and their antibacterial appraisal against a rare bacterium from river and sewage treatment plan

    This is the first investigation to demonstrate the use of biochemical contents present within Cyperus rotundus, Eleusin indica, Euphorbia hirta, Melastoma malabathricum, Clidemia hirta and Pachyrhizus erosus extracts for the reduction of silver ion to silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) form. In addition, the antibacterial capability of the synthesized AgNPs and plant extracts alone against a rare bacterium, Chromobacterium haemolyticum (C. haemolyticum), was examined. Moreover, ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy (UV-vis), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) and inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectroscopy (ICPOES) of the synthesized AgNPs were characterized. The smallest AgNPs can be produced when Cyperus rotundus extracts were utilized. In addition, this study has found that the synthesis efficiencies using all plant extracts are in the range of 72% to 91% with the highest percentage achieved when Eleusin indica extract was employed. All synthesized AgNPs have antibacterial capability against all examined bacteria depending on their size and bacteria types. Interestingly, Melastoma malabathricum and Clidemia hirta extracts have demonstrated an antibacterial ability against C. haemolyticum
