A Novelty-based Clustering Method for On-line Documents

In this paper, we describe a document clustering method called noveltybased document clustering. This method clusters documents based on similarity and novelty. The method assigns higher weights to recent documents than old ones and generates clusters with the focus on recent topics. The similarity function is derived probabilistically, extending the conventional cosine measure of the vector space model by incorporating a document forgetting model to produce novelty-based clusters. The clustering procedure is a variation of the K-means method. An additional feature of our clustering method is an incremental update facility, which is applied when new documents are incorporated into a document repository. Performance of the clustering method is examined through experiments. Experimental results show the efficiency and effectiveness of our method.journal articl

研究ノートRESEARCH NOTE本研究は、キャリア支援者が生成 AI（Generative AI）を実務に活用することで、業務効率化およびサービス品質向上を図るための可能性を探求することを目的とする。生成 AI は、大量のデータをもとに自然言語で応答を生成する技術であり、近年ビジネス分野での普及が進む一方で、キャリア支援領域での活用は十分に議論されていない。本研究では、生成 AI をキャリア支援に導入するためのフレームワークを構築し、特に「CO-AI-CLモデル」（訓練生型 AI ）に焦点を当てた実践例を提示した。このモデルを通じて、生成 AI がキャリア支援者を補助し、スケーリングクエスチョンやハプンスタンス学習理論に基づくサポートを行う可能性を実証的に検討した。結果として、生成 AI はキャリア支援者による監督下で補助的役割を果たしうること、また支援者のスキル向上にも寄与する可能性が示唆された。さらに、生成 AI の限界や倫理的課題についても議論を行い、今後の研究課題を提示した。departmental bulletin pape

Recent U.S. Urban Revitalization Policies and their Effects on Central Cities : Can Central Cities be revitalized ?

本稿では、まず、アメリカの都市の状況と中心市における貧困や社会問題を明らかにする。それを踏まえて、近年のアメリカの都市政策の特徴である、「地方政府の権限の拡大」、「民間セクターの活用」、「個人の自由な選択と責任の重視」という政策方針の中で、アメリカの都市再生政策が、必ずしも衰退する中心市の再生に至らない要因について考察を行う。In this paper, I will first describe poverty and social problems in U.S. central cities. Then, I will review recent U.S. urban policies from the following three viewpoints: expansion of local government authority; collaboration with the private sector; and emphasis on personal choice and responsibility. 海風の運河遡上による都市暑熱環境の緩和効果 : 名古屋市の堀川及び新堀川における事例

The objective of this paper is to clarify the cooling effect of going-up sea breeze along the canal on thermal environment in the center of the city. Field observations of air temperature, humidity, wind direction and velocity were conducted in summer, 1994 and 1995 in Nagoya.These climatic conditions were measured at stationary points (the mouse of the canal and the center of the city), and moving observations points along the canal by car, around the canal on foot, and at the center of the city on foot. The sea breeze went up Horikawa canal up to 9?11km in daytime in the maximum. In that case, the stronger the sea breeze blow, the lower the air temperature in the center of the city was. In case of the sea breeze went up not so far, the cooling effect of sea breeze appeared only around the mouse of the canal. The wind velocity on the canal as a whole were stronger than that in the street. In the center of the city, cooling spots appeared in the boulevard and the small park. As a result, two canals in Nagoya can act as Wind trail which introduces cooling air to urban hot climate.application/pdfjournal articl
