Relationship between problem-based learning experience and self-directed learning readiness
Tun Hussein Onn University of Malaysia (UTHM) has been implementing
Problem-Based Learning (PBL) to some degree in various subjects. However, to this day no empirical data has been gathered on the effectiveness of PBL as a methodology to develop self-directed learning (SDL) skills. The purpose of this study is to investigate self-directed learning readiness (SDLR) among UTHM students exposed to vaiying PBL exposure intensity. SDLR was measured using the modified version of Self-Directed Learning Readiness (SDLRS). Participants in this study were first-year undergraduate students at UTHM. The instrument was administrated to students in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering, and Technical Education (N=260). Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical techniques with analysis of variance (ANOVA) and the independent /'-test for equal variance for hypotheses testing. The results of this study indicate that overall SDLR level increase with PBL exposure up to exposure intensity twice, beyond which no increase in SDLR was observed with increase in PBL exposure. Within the same academic programme, results did not
show a statistically significant difference of SDLR level between groups exposed to varying PBL exposure intensity. However, significant difference was found in some dimensions of the SDLR for the Technical Education students. Within the same education background, results did not show a statistically significant difference of SDLR level between groups exposed to varying PBL intensity. However, significant difference was found in some dimensions of the SDLR for students with both Matriculations and STPM background. A statistically significant difference of SDLR level was found between Electrical Engineering and Technical Education students
for exposure once and in some SDLR dimensions. No statistically significant difference was found between students from different academic programme for exposure twice or thrice. The data supports the conclusion that SDLR level increases with increase in PBL exposure intensity up to a certain extent only, beyond which no increase of SDLR can be observed. The data also suggest that only certain dimensions of the SDLR improve with increased exposure to PBL
Hubungan Antara Hardiness Dengan Adaptabilitas Karir Pada Siswa Kelas XII SMK Negeri Kecamatan Banda Raya Banda Aceh
Hardiness pada siswa SMK kelas XII dapat membantu dalam menghadapi dan mengantisipasi tantangan yang terjadi terhadap adaptabilitas karir. Jika siswa kurang memiliki hardiness dalam meningkatkan kemauan untuk mengembangkan tugas perkembangan karir, maka adaptabilitas karir siswa tersebut menjadi rendah sehingga dapat memberi pengaruh yang signifikan pada masa depan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui hubungan antara hardiness dengan adaptabilitas karir pada siswa Kelas XII SMK Negeri Kecamatan Banda Raya Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasi. Alat ukur dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Skala Hardiness yang disusun berdasarkan aspek yang diadaptasi dari skala yang dibuat oleh Lutfi, Jasmadi, dan Nova dan Skala Adaptabilitas Karir oleh Saviskas. Jumlah populasi sebanyak 782 siswa dengan jumlah sampel 243. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode probability sampling dengan teknik cluster sampling (area sampling). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan koefisien korelasi (r) sebesar 0.886 dengan p = 0.00 yang menandakan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif yang sangat signifikan antara hardiness dengan adaptabilitas karir pada siswa SMK Negeri Kecamatan Banda Raya Banda Aceh. Artinya semakin tinggi hardiness pada siswa, maka semakin tinggi adaptabilitas karir siswa tersebut. Sebaliknya semakin rendah hardiness pada siswa, maka akan semakin rendah pula adaptabilitas karir siswa tersebut
Criminal Accountability False Investments with Ponzi Schemes in Indonesia
Indonesia is currently experiencing a surge of investments, which is resulting in both positive and negative outcomes. Supported by increasingly fast technology, “investment” activists are even more enthusiastic about continuing to develop their investments. Recently, investment activists have faced various forms of fraudulent investment with Ponzi schemes. This study aims to determine criminal liability in investing in Ponzi schemes in Indonesia and the protection measures that can be provided for victims. Using normative legal research methods, it was found that fraudulent Ponzi scheme investors in Indonesia can be charged with Article 378 of the Criminal Code. And, because they do not have a permit, fraudulent investments can be subject to Article 103 of Law Number 8 of 1995 concerning Capital Markets, related to investment victims, falsifying a Ponzi scheme in an application because it uses electronic media can be subject to Article 28 paragraph 1 of Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning information and electronic transactions, which has been amended by Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning Amendments to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning information and electronic transactions.

Pengaruh Media Pembelajaran Audiopvisual Terhadap Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Siswa Mata Pelajaran IPA Di SD Swasta Tunas Bangsa Medan
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimanakah pengaruh media pembelajaran audio visual terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa mata pelajaran IPA di SD Swasta Tunas Bangsa Medan. Penelitian ini di lakukan di SD Swasta Tunas Bangsa Medan.
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian Quasy Eskperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas V Swasta Tunas Bangsa Medan yang berjumlah 50. Sampel penelitian ini ada dua kelas yang terdiri atas satu kelas eksperimen (VB) dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 25 orang dan satu kelas kontrol (VA) dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 25 orang.
Instrumen tes yang digunakan untuk mengetahui berpikir kritis siswa mata pelajaran IPA adalah tes essai berupa post-test yang berjumlah 10 butir soal.
Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini mengunakan uji t.
Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilaksanakan, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh media pembelajaran audio visual terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa mata pelajaran IPA Di SD Swasta Tunas Bangsa Medan. Hal ini terlihat dari nilai rata-rata berpikir kritis siswa mata pelajaran IPA berturutturut adalah 88 dan 74. Hal ini juga dibuktikan dari hasil pengujian hipotesis dimana thitung > ttabel yaitu 3,974 > 1,70
PENDIDIKAN KELUARGA BERBASIS FITRAH PADA Q.S LUQMAN AYAT 12-19
This research is underlain by the writer’s concern towards the conditions of most youth at present. The character deterioration and the moral degeneration are rampant, proven by the significant increase of cases of juvenile delinquency and behavioral deviation year by year. Considering the aforementioned cases, after being learned, it is found that the root of the problem comes from home. Education from the family at home is not optimally taught, or it is even improperly implemented. Parents are neglectful and do not prepare themselves with education skills even though the conditions of the era are constantly changing. Parents do not understand their roles and have no idea about the potential of fitrah as one of the important things in carrying the trust to educate their children, whereas all of the things which have been created by Allah have creation purposes. In addition, in Al-Qur’an, there are many figures created by Allah to be used as the role models for us. One of them is the story of Luqman al-Hakim in the 12th-19th verses of surah Luqman. With regard to the research purpose, this research aims to find out mufassirs’ view about the 12th-19th verses of surah Luqman which later relearned to find values of fitrah-based family education in the aforementioned verses, so that eventually, the findings can be implemented in the family education. Regarding the interpretation method, this research uses tahlīli and mauḍui interpretation methods. The data collection technique used in this research is the literature review. The data gained include Al-Qur’an as the main source completed by the interpretations, books, and journal articles which are related to the research problems as the secondary source. The research results show that the values of fitrah-based family education are found in the 12th-19th verses of surah Luqman; those are (1) fitrah of having faith, which includes (a) fitrah of being religious/believing God and (b) fitrah of having morals and (2) fitrah of learning and reasoning
The Need for Criminalizing Online Prostitution in Indonesia
Development always produces positive and negative impacts. The positive impact is advancing civilization and the negative impact is detrimental to life. The negative effect of the action is the development of crime from conventional to modern, one of which was born due to the use of the internet. One of the traditional problems that are now increasingly modern is online prostitution, known as cybercrime. With this research problem, the aim is to determine the legal rules of online prostitution in Indonesia and the urgency of its criminalization. Using the normative method, it was found that online prostitution poses a problem that only pimps will get criminal penalties. This provision is certainly unfair because the giver, perpetrator, and user must also be subject to criminal sanctions. In its laws and regulations, Indonesian law still does not regulate online prostitution activities, even conventional prostitution. However, in the Criminal Code, several article formulations indirectly regulate prostitution activities, namely articles 296 and 506 but only handle pimps. Seeing this legal vacuum and acts of prostitution that do not follow the values in society and advances in information and science, there are three reasons for the urgency of criminalization, namely philosophical, juridical, and sociological. Philosophically, online prostitution is against Pancasila, the first and second precepts, and the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia. Due to juridical reasons, there is a legal vacuum and legal uncertainty. The sociological sense that online prostitution does not follow the norms in society causes unrest and can cause various dangerous diseases.

MODEL PEMBELAJARAN READ, ANSWER, DISCUSS, EXPLAIN, AND CREATE (RADEC) SECARA DARING UNTUK MEMBANGUN PENGUASAAN KONSEP DAN KREATIVITAS SISWA KELAS IV SEKOLAH DASAR
Penguasaan konsep dan kreativitas merupakan keterampilan yang dapat mendukung siswa dalam menghadapi permasalahan di kehidupan nyata. Guru sebagai fasilitator belajar harus dapat memilih model pembelajaran yang dapat membangun keterampilan tersebut. Model pembelajaran RADEC menjadi model alternatif baru yang bertujuan untuk membantu siswa mendapatkan banyak kompetensi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membangun penguasaan konsep dan kreativitas siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar melalui model pembelajaran Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, and Create (RADEC) secara daring. Pembelajaran daring yang dilaksanakan melibatkan media zoom, whatsapp dan google classroom. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode campuran dengan strategi embedded konkuren yang menerapkan satu tahap pengumpulan data kualitatif dan kuantitatif dalam satu waktu. Partisipan penelitian terdiri dari 70 siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar dan tiga orang guru sekolah dasar. Pengolahan data dilakukan secara kualitatif dengan menjabarkan implementasi pembelajaran, profil penguasaan konsep siswa dan kreativitas siswa. Sedangkan pengolahan data secara kuantitatif dilakukan untuk mengetahui peningkatan penguasaan konsep siswa dengan bantuan SPSS versi 24. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa implementasi model pembelajaran RADEC menggunakan zoom berbantuan whatsapp belum dapat terlaksana dengan baik, sedangkan implementasi model pembelajaran RADEC menggunakan google classroom dapat terlaksana meskipun jumlah siswa yang terlibat sangat terbatas. Selanjutnya, implementasi model pembelajaran RADEC menggunakan google classroom dapat meningkatkan penguasaan konsep siswa. Hal tersebut berdasarkan pada uji Paired Sampel Sampel T-Test (sig. 0.015) yang menyatakan terdapat perbedaan rata-rata antara skor pretes (53,88) dan postes (85). Selain itu, pada pembelajaran ini kreativitas siswa dapat dimunculkan melalui tahap create. Aspek kreativitas yang muncul diantaranya keluwesan, keaslian, elaboratif, dan evaluasi.
Mastering concept and creativity is considered as a skill to support students in dealing with problems in real life. Teacher as a learning facilitator must be able to choose learning models that can develop these skills. The RADEC Learning Model became a new alternative model designed to help students gain a lot of competencies. This study aimed to construct grade IV elementary school students’ concept and creative proficiency through online Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain and Create (RADEC) learning model. The implemented online learning involved Zoom, WhatsApp and Google classroom media. Mixed method design with a concurrent embedded strategy in which qualitative and quantitative data were collected at the same time was selected to carry out this study. The participants of this study were 70 grade IV elementary school students and three elementary school teachers. The data were analyzed qualitatively by describing the result of observation on the learning process, students’ concept mastery profile and students’ creativity. On the other hand, the quantitative data processing was carried out to determine the increase students’ concept mastery using SPSS version 24. The results indicated that the implementation of RADEC learning model using Zoom and WhatsApp had not been implemented properly, but the implementation of RADEC learning model using Google Classroom can be carried out although the number of students involved was very limited. Furthermore, the implementation of RADEC learning model using google classroom could improve students' concept mastery. This was based on the Paired Sample T-Test (sig. 0.015) result which demonstrated that there was a mean difference between the pretest (53,88) and the posttest (85). In addition, students’ creativity could be fostered during the Create phase. The creativity aspects which could be observed were flexibility, authenticity, elaborative, and evaluation

Enhanced Soil Chemical Properties and Rice Yield in Acid Sulphate Soil by Application of Rice Straw
Swampland development such as acid sulphate soil for agricultural cultivation has various problem, including high soil acidity, fluctuated and unpredictable water flooding and the presence of toxic elements such as Fe which resulting in low crop yields. The research was conducted at the experimental station Belandean, Barito Kuala regency in dry season 2007. The objective of research was to study the effect of rice straw on the dynamic of soil pH, the concentration of iron and sulphate and yield on tidal land acid sulphate soil at two different water inlet channel. This research was designed in RCBD (Randomized Completely Block Design) with five treatments (0, 2.5, 5.0, 7.5 and 10 Mg ha-1) and four replications. Dolomite as much as 1 Mg ha-1 was also applied. This research was divided into two sub-units experiment i.e. two conditions of different water inlet channel. The first water channels were placed with limestone and the second inlet was planted with Eleocharis dulcis. The results showed that (i) rice straw application did not affect the dynamic of soil pH, concentration of iron and sulphate, and (ii) the highest yield was obtained with 7.5 Mg ha-1 of rice straw
