Dynamic changes in genomic and social structures in third millennium BCE central Europe

Europe’s prehistory oversaw dynamic and complex interactions of diverse societies, hitherto unexplored at detailed regional scales. Studying 271 human genomes dated ~4900 to 1600 BCE from the European heartland, Bohemia, we reveal unprecedented genetic changes and social processes. Major migrations preceded the arrival of “steppe” ancestry, and at ~2800 BCE, three genetically and culturally differentiated groups coexisted. Corded Ware appeared by 2900 BCE, were initially genetically diverse, did not derive all steppe ancestry from known Yamnaya, and assimilated females of diverse backgrounds. Both Corded Ware and Bell Beaker groups underwent dynamic changes, involving sharp reductions and complete replacements of Y-chromosomal diversity at ~2600 and ~2400 BCE, respectively, the latter accompanied by increased Neolithic-like ancestry. The Bronze Age saw new social organization emerge amid a ≥40% population turnover.Peer reviewe

This thesis deals with the theme of ethical problems and dilemmas we can meet when providing day care. The basic ethical norms for solving these problems are presented in the first part. Chosen ethical problems and dilemmas of various cases of day care practice are described in the next part. The attitude of the Law of Social Services as the basic legal norm for providing day care service in the Czech Republic follows each of the cases. Afterwards, each case is considered in the relation to the Ethical Code of social workers in the Czech Republic. This code contains ethical principles and the rules of ethical behaviour of a social worker towards the client, colleagues, employers and society. Then the care is judged from the point of view of some ethical theories. Next, the real solving of the case and its assessment from the point of view of the ethical norms of treatment is presented. The results of solving concrete situations are compared according to different ethical theories in the final part. This thesis does not include a questionnaire because of the individual attitude to the client and the theoretical orientation of this work. Diagnosing vascular prosthesis infection by means of the FDG-PET/CT

    No full text
Cíl práce: Infekce cévní protézy je jednou z nejzávažnějších komplikací v kardiovaskulární chirurgii. Standardně užívané diagnostické metody často selhávají zejména v případě nízce virulentní infekce cévní protézy a nalezení vhodné diagnostické modality je tedy stále výzvou. Cílem práce je vyhodnocení citlivosti nové hybridní diagnostické modality FDG-PET/CT v této indikaci. Materiál a metodika: Sedmdesát šest pacientů, z toho 52 mužů a 24 žen, nositelů 96 cévních protéz, podstoupilo kontrastní FDG-PET/CT vyšetření pro podezření na nízce virulentní infekci cévní protézy, 16 měsíců (1-33) po provedené tepenné rekonstrukci. Analyzované parametry PET byly: vizuálně posouzené fokální a difuzní uptake FDG (negativní-mírný- intenzivní) a poměrné hodnoty maximální intensity FDG uptake v oblasti cévní náhrady vztažené k referenční oblasti suprarenální aorty. K posuzovaným CT parametrům patří transaxiální plocha infiltrátu, iritace ohraničení ložiska předpokládané infekce a přítomnost pseudoaneurysmatu. U nereoperovaných považován klinicky stabilní follow-up >6 měsíců....Introduction: Vascular prosthesis infection (VPI) is a life-threatening complication in 0.5- 5% of cases. Early and reliable diagnosis is a necessity for adequate treatment. Computed tomography (CT) is the gold standard diagnostic method used world-wide with excellent results, but in cases of advanced graft infection. Low grade infections in non-acute patients are a diagnostic challenge requiring a new method with good diagnostic accuracy. The aim of this work is to define the accuracy of 18 F-FDG PET/CT in these settings and to identify essential parameters of its evaluation. Material and Methods: Seventy-six consecutive patients with total of 96 vascular prosthetic grafts in which infection was suspected underwent PET/CT examination prospectively. PET/CT scans were analysed in terms of presence and intensity of focal and diffuse FDG uptake, presence of anastomotic pseudoaneurysm, irregular boundary of infiltration, combination of these, and uptake ratio between graft and blood background. Also, other parameters like white blood cell count, C-reactive protein, and microbiological cultures were tested. The final diagnosis (gold standard) was based on operative/histopathological finding or >6 months clinical follow up. Results: In our series the prevalence of VPI was 57.3 % (55/96 prostheses). The topic of bachelor´s thesis is design four storey apartment house with barrier-free apartments. The building is four storey, roofed hipped roof. The fourth floor is residential attic. The building is located on plot of number 3800/32 in the village Velke Mezirici, cadastral area Velke Mezirici. The vertical constructions are designed from aerated concrete block Ytong and there are insulated with contact insulation systém ETICS. Horizontal constructions are designed large format precast floor slabs Ytong. The roofing is done using timber roof truss. Part of the design is thermal assessment, accustic assessment and fire safety assessment.

Business Process Risk Modelling in Theory and Practice

    No full text
Purpose: The purpose of the paper is to introduce SW based decision-making tool that helps managers cope with risks and uncertainties of selected industrial processes. The solution is substantiated by the theoretical background. Methodology/Approach: The research is based on combination of contextual interviews with process management experts and Business Process Modelling Notion (BPMN). The former is aimed at the identification of industrial processes with highest risk exposure the latter is conducive to the design of processes to be subjected to stochastic simulation. Findings: The findings show that the risks and uncertainties in the management of industrial processes can be kept under control when using advanced tools of risk analysis as simulation approaches. The solution proposed comes in handy to risk analysts or process managers. Research Limitation/Implication: The library of process models which were included into stochastic simulation includes selected processes as investments, service providing or economic value-added engineering. Additional processes are being included on ongoing basis. Originality/Value of paper: The paper offers the solution to industrial process risk management which goes far beyond academic sphere and provides industrial practitioners SW tool that facilitates process risk management
