    Get PDF
The aim of the present study was to identify the administrative problems that school principals face at schools in the city located in the east of Turkey with high Syrian student population and to provide suggestions for overcoming these problems. The city is a province in Turkey having the highest ratio of Syrian to Turkish population with 95.61 %. Therefore, the city is an important topic for the education and social integration of Syrian students. Based on the findings, it has been identified that school principals experience problems such as language and communication problems, crowded classrooms and environments, registration uncertainties, accordance between the parents (Turkish-Syrian), school culture, discipline and behavior. In addition, problems were also identified under headings such as financial resource insufficiency, personnel requirements and in-service training requirements. It has been emphasized that making courses more active, increasing the number of course hours for the targeted culture language will be more beneficial for overcoming the language issues. It has also been indicated that equal distribution of Syrian students to the schools and balancing the student ratio in the province through the use of transportation options if necessary will also be beneficial

The Relationship between Energy Efficiency and Economic Performance in G20 Countries

The relationship between the concept of energy efficiency and economic performance is a continuing debate and there is no consensus on it. The main motivation behind this paper is based on a trade-off that exists between energy efficiency and economic growth. Motivated by this trade-off, this paper investigates the long-run equilibrium relationships and causal relationships between energy consumption, economic performance (GDP per capita) and energy intensity in (G20) Countries. Panel data variables over the periods from 1992 to 2012 are employed in empirical tests. Panel cointegration tests suggest that these three variables tend to move together in the long-run. In addition, Panel Granger causality tests indicate that there is a unidirectional causality running from energy intensity to economic performance but not vice versa. Motivated by the panel granger causality findings, we estimated the energy intensity model using the fixed and the random effect model and evaluated the relationship between energy intensity, economic growth and energy consumption of (G20) countries

Population of the study is 1087 teachers and 167 elementary school principals whom working in the academic year 2011-2012 the province of Kilis. Research sample consists of 229 teachers and 34 managers. "Effective Teacher Characteristics Form" which include seven item given to the participants were asked to rank these features. Teachers in this study, as the first feature of effective teachers "create a behavioral model is ideal for students" feature, last in the "high expectations of the students have to learn and you can succeed in" feature, which they understood. School administrators during the first property of the effective teachers "education-teaching-related issues, in cooperation with the work" feature, ranked last in the "high expectations of the students have to learn and you can succeed in" feature to see itTarama modeline dayalı betimsel nitelikli bu araştırmada, etkili öğretmen özelliklerinin önem sırasının katılımcıların görüşlerine göre belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır.

The nationwide small ruminant breeding project under the breeder condition has been started in the year of 2005. The project planned to solve some of the problems related with small ruminant breeding system. Especially, to find the solution for inadequate productivity, lack of organisation, insufficient collaborations, low education, and unreliable registration system were the main parts of the mentioned project. Project planned with sub-projects according to districts and breeds. At the beginning, project started with sheep flocks, and then goats were included. Local sheep and goats associations were involved the project. Project personals were chosen and educated according to project rules. Also, meetings were organised with the selected breeders and the breeders were informed about the projects and their duties. In our region we were examined the goat flocks from the year of 2011 to at the end of 2016. During the period of the project some increases on the live weights of the animals have been detected. Also, breeders directly or indirectly had education about their job. At the end of the scheme, some of the positive effects of the project have been observed on the lives of breeders, goats, collaborations and market situations. The nationwide small ruminant breeding project under the breeder condition has been started in the year of 2005. Objective: To evaluate whether hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) treatment has a favorable effect on implant osseointegration in diabetic rabbits. Material and Methods: An experimental diabetes model was induced in 32 New Zealand rabbits through IV injection of alloxan. After the state of diabetes had been confirmed, one dental implant was placed in the metaphysical region of each animal’s tibia. After the implants’ placements, the animals were divided into two groups. Half of the animals underwent HBO treatment, while the other group did not receive HBO treatment and served as the control group. The animals were euthanized at the 4th and 8th weeks. The osseointegration of the implants were compared by histomorphometry and resonance frequency analysis (RFA). Results: The Bone Implant Contact (BIC) values were significantly higher in the HBO group than in the control group at the 4th week. There was no difference in the BIC values between the groups at the 8th week. There was no significant difference in the RFA scores between the groups both at the 4th and 8th weeks after the operation. Conclusion: Histomorphometry findings suggest that HBO has positive effect on implant osseointegration in the early healing period in diabetic rabbits. However, implant stability is not affected by HBO treatment
