Hechos como la reciente pandemia COVID-19, el envejecimiento de la población, el aumento de las tasas de dependencia o la necesidad de promover la asistencia sanitaria personalizada tanto en entorno hospitalario como domiciliario, ponen de manifiesto la necesidad de desarrollar dispositivos médicos de monitorización y diagnostico cada vez más sofisticados, fiables y conectados de forma rápida y eficaz. En este escenario, los sistemas embebidos se han convertido en tecnología clave para el diseño de soluciones innovadoras de bajo coste y de forma rápida. Conscientes de la oportunidad que existe en el sector, cada vez son más las denominadas "biotech start-ups" las que se embarcan en el negocio de los dispositivos médicos. Pese a tener grandes ideas y soluciones técnicas, muchas terminan fracasando por desconocimiento del sector sanitario y de los requisitos regulatorios que se deben cumplir. La gran cantidad de requisitos técnicos y regulatorios hace que sea necesario disponer de una metodología procedimental para ejecutar dichos desarrollos. Media Infrastructures and the Politics of Digital Time
Digital media everyday inscribe new patterns of time, promising instant communication, synchronous collaboration, intricate time management, and profound new advantages in speed. The essays in this volume reconsider these outward interfaces of convenience by calling attention to their supporting infrastructures, the networks of digital time that exert pressures of conformity and standardization on the temporalities of lived experience and have important ramifications for social relations, stratifications of power, practices of cooperation, and ways of life. Interdisciplinary in method and international in scope, the volume draws together insights from media and communication studies, cultural studies, and science and technology studies while staging an important encounter between two distinct approaches to the temporal patterning of media infrastructures, a North American strain emphasizing the social and cultural experiences of lived time and a European tradition, prominent especially in Germany, focusing on technological time and time-critical processes
HIGH BIOMAS BLOOMS CAUSING FISH KILLS AND OTHER ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS
Harmful algal blooms (HABs) have significant impacts on food safety and security
through contamination or mass mortalities of aquatic organisms. Indeed, if not properly
controlled, aquatic products contaminated with HAB biotoxins are responsible for
potentially deadly foodborne diseases and when rapidly growing, HAB consequences
include reduced dissolved oxygen in the ocean, dead zones, and mass mortalities of
aquatic organisms. Improving HAB forecasting is an opportunity to develop early
warning systems for HAB events such as food contamination, mass mortalities, or
foodborne diseases. Surveillance systems have been developed to monitor HABs in
many countries; however, the lead-time or the type of data (i.e. identification at the
Species-level, determination of toxicity) may not be sufficient to take effective action
for food safety management measures or other reasons, such as transfer of aquaculture
products to other areas. Having early warning systems could help mitigate the impact of
HABs and reduce the occurrence of HAB events. In this regard, FAO took the lead in the
development of a Joint FAO-IOC-IAEA Technical Guidance for the Implementation of
Early Warning Systems for HABs. The document will guide competent authorities and
relevant institutions involved in consumer protection or environmental monitoring to
implement early warning systems for HABs present in their areas (marine and brackish
waters), specifically for those affecting food safety or food security (benthic HABs,
fish-killing HABs, pelagic toxic HABs, and cyanobacteria HABs)
Privacy Intelligence: A Survey on Image Sharing on Online Social Networks
Image sharing on online social networks (OSNs) has become an indispensable
part of daily social activities, but it has also led to an increased risk of
privacy invasion. The recent image leaks from popular OSN services and the
abuse of personal photos using advanced algorithms (e.g. DeepFake) have
prompted the public to rethink individual privacy needs when sharing images on
OSNs. However, OSN image sharing itself is relatively complicated, and systems
currently in place to manage privacy in practice are labor-intensive yet fail
to provide personalized, accurate and flexible privacy protection. As a result,
an more intelligent environment for privacy-friendly OSN image sharing is in
demand. To fill the gap, we contribute a systematic survey of 'privacy
intelligence' solutions that target modern privacy issues related to OSN image
sharing. Specifically, we present a high-level analysis framework based on the
entire lifecycle of OSN image sharing to address the various privacy issues and
solutions facing this interdisciplinary field. The framework is divided into
three main stages: local management, online management and social experience.
At each stage, we identify typical sharing-related user behaviors, the privacy
issues generated by those behaviors, and review representative intelligent
solutions. The resulting analysis describes an intelligent privacy-enhancing
chain for closed-loop privacy management. We also discuss the challenges and
future directions existing at each stage, as well as in publicly available

Energy Data Analytics for Smart Meter Data
The principal advantage of smart electricity meters is their ability to transfer digitized electricity consumption data to remote processing systems. The data collected by these devices make the realization of many novel use cases possible, providing benefits to electricity providers and customers alike. This book includes 14 research articles that explore and exploit the information content of smart meter data, and provides insights into the realization of new digital solutions and services that support the transition towards a sustainable energy system. Air Traffic Management Abbreviation Compendium
As in all fields of work, an unmanageable number of abbreviations are used today in aviation for terms, definitions, commands, standards and technical descriptions. This applies in general to the areas of aeronautical communication, navigation and surveillance, cockpit and air traffic control working positions, passenger and cargo transport, and all other areas of flight planning, organization and guidance. In addition, many abbreviations are used more than once or have different meanings in different languages.
In order to obtain an overview of the most common abbreviations used in air traffic management, organizations like EUROCONTROL, FAA, DWD and DLR have published lists of abbreviations in the past, which have also been enclosed in this document. In addition, abbreviations from some larger international projects related to aviation have been included to provide users with a directory as complete as possible. This means that the second edition of the Air Traffic Management Abbreviation Compendium includes now around 16,500 abbreviations and acronyms from the field of aviation

Recent advances in the application of deep learning for fault diagnosis of rotating machinery using vibration signals
Vibration measurement and monitoring are essential in a wide variety of applications. Vibration measurements are critical for diagnosing industrial machinery malfunctions because they provide information about the condition of the rotating equipment. Vibration analysis is considered the most effective method for predictive maintenance because it is used to troubleshoot instantaneous faults as well as periodic maintenance. Numerous studies conducted in this vein have been published in a variety of outlets. This review documents data-driven and recently published deep learning techniques for vibration-based condition monitoring. Numerous studies were obtained from two reputable indexing databases, Web of Science and Scopus. Following a thorough review, 59 studies were selected for synthesis. The selected studies are then systematically discussed to provide researchers with an in-depth view of deep learning-based fault diagnosis methods based on vibration signals. Additionally, a few remarks regarding future research directions are made, including graph-based neural networks, physics-informed ML, and a transformer convolutional network-based fault diagnosis method
