Currently information technology has experienced rapid development so that information can be accessed quickly. One of the applications of technology in education today is the existence of an internet-based information system for report card grades or what we usually know as online report cards. This has changed the pattern of society in various aspects, especially the world of education. The e-Raport system is used as an information system designed by schools to inform parents of student progress, which has been implemented in almost all schools in Tangerang City. For example, SMPN 8 Tangerang City is one of the public schools in Tangerang City which uses the e-Raport System as a substitute for manual student learning outcomes reports. The problems raised were the teacher's lack of understanding in accessing e-reports when inputting grades and the lack of understanding of parents in accessing e-reports to see children's development. This research is a literature study that aims to collect information related to the use of online report card information systems implemented by several schools, the results obtained from this literature study are that the online report card system makes it easy for educators to process student value data that can be accessed both by students and parents

Data-based decision-making capabilities consist of Data Governance Capability, Data Analytics Capability, Performance Management Capability, Insight Exploitation Capability, and Integration Capability. The discussion is carried out by analyzing the description of four data-based decision-making capabilities related to tuition at UIN SGD Bandung: Data Governance Capability, Data Analytics Capability, Performance Management Capability, and Insight Exploitation Capability. The approach used in this study is qualitative with a case study design. The informants were obtained through a purposive sampling technique which was then tested for the validity of the results of the interviews by triangulating the data. The goal to be achieved is to describe how the process of using data in decision-making is carried out by campus authorities regarding tuition at UIN SGD Bandung so that it can produce a policy output. The findings in this study are that determining the amount of tuition accepted by UIN SGD Bandung students has gone through various processes, including using data as a reference for decision-making. However, a capability still needs to be fully fulfilled, namely, Performance Management Capability. Keywords: big data, data driven. Decision-making, tuitio

Unemployment is one of the issues confronting Indonesia in the labor market. This is due to a lack of jobs, inflation, explosions, or a lack of investment, all of which lead the unemployment rate to rise, particularly in the city of Bandung. As a result, the Bandung City Manpower Service developed the BIMMA application, one of which is to serve as a forum for connecting companies and job seekers in online job fairs in order to reduce unemployment. The purpose of this study is to describe the policies taken by the Bandung City Manpower Service in dealing with numbers in the city of Bandung based on data included in the BIMMA application. Descriptive research using a qualitative approach is used in this study. Following that, data was gathered through structured and semi-structured interviews, observation, documentation, and library research. Data analysis employs a pattern approach from the bottom up in a hierarchical approach, with data triangulation serving as the validity test. According to the findings of the study, the data obtained from the BIMMA application is used as statistical data for reports to local governments and as an indicator or reference for the agency to create work programs the following year in the form of open training or apprenticeship through competency tests on applications that are used to reduce unemployment in Bandung City. Keywords: Job Fair, E-government, unemploymen

Building Dynamic Service Analytics Capabilities for the Digital Marketplace

    Get PDF
Service firms are now interacting with customers through a multitude of channels or touchpoints. This progression into the digital realm is leading to an explosion of data, and warranting advanced analytic methods to manage service systems. Known as big data analytics, these methods harness insights to deliver, serve, and enhance the customer experience in the digital marketplace. Although global economies are becoming service-oriented, little attention is paid to the role of analytics in service systems. As such, drawing on a systematic literature review and thematic analysis of 30 in-depth interviews, this study aims to understand the nature of service analytics to identify its capability dimensions. Integrating the diverse areas of research on service systems, big data and dynamic capability theories, we propose a dynamic service analytics capabilities (DSAC) framework consisting of management, technology, talent, data governance, model development, and service innovation capability. We also propose a future research agenda to advance DSAC research for the emerging service systems in the digital marketplace

Debating big data: A literature review on realizing value from big data

    Get PDF
This is the final version. Available on open access from Elsevier via the DOI in this recordBig data has been considered to be a breakthrough technological development over recent years. Notwithstanding, we have as yet limited understanding of how organizations translate its potential into actual social and economic value. We conduct an in-depth systematic review of IS literature on the topic and identify six debates central to how organizations realize value from big data, at different levels of analysis. Based on this review, we identify two socio-technical features of big data that influence value realization: portability and interconnectivity. We argue that, in practice, organizations need to continuously realign work practices, organizational models, and stakeholder interests in order to reap the benefits from big data. We synthesize the findings by means of an integrated model

e-Government for good governance : establishing efficient governance through data-driven policymaking in Africa

Mini Dissertation (MPhil (Human Rights and Democratisation in Africa))--University of Pretoria, 2022.Governance in Africa has traditionally been hindered by a lack of accurate data and information. This has resulted in policies that are poorly informed and ineffective in addressing the needs of citizens. However, advances in technology and the increasing availability of data have provided a new opportunity for African governments to improve their decision-making processes. By collecting and analysing data, governments can identify the most pressing issues and develop targeted policies to address them. Data-driven policymaking has the potential to revolutionise the way governments in Africa make decisions, and can help address some of the challenges that Africa faces, such as poverty, inequality, and limited access to essential services. The effective use of data can also improve transparency and accountability, enabling citizens to hold their governments to account and encouraging greater public participation in the policymaking process. Having identified poor governance and ineffective public policies in Africa as major problems across the continent, this study has sought to respond to those challenges by exploring and proposing the adoption of a data-driven approach in public policies, and which could eventually improve the state of governance.Centre for Human RightsMPhil (Human Rights and Democratisation in Africa)Unrestricte
