A looped-functional approach for robust stability analysis of linear impulsive systems
A new functional-based approach is developed for the stability analysis of
linear impulsive systems. The new method, which introduces looped-functionals,
considers non-monotonic Lyapunov functions and leads to LMIs conditions devoid
of exponential terms. This allows one to easily formulate dwell-times results,
for both certain and uncertain systems. It is also shown that this approach may
be applied to a wider class of impulsive systems than existing methods. Some
examples, notably on sampled-data systems, illustrate the efficiency of the

Integral Input-to-State Stability of Nonlinear Time-Delay Systems with Delay-Dependent Impulse Effects
This paper studies integral input-to-state stability (iISS) of nonlinear
impulsive systems with time-delay in both the continuous dynamics and the
impulses. Several iISS results are established by using the method of
Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals. For impulsive systems with iISS continuous
dynamics and destabilizing impulses, we derive two iISS criteria that guarantee
the uniform iISS of the whole system provided that the time period between two
successive impulse moments is appropriately bounded from below. Then we provide
an iISS result for systems with unstable continuous dynamics and stabilizing
impulses. For this scenario, it is shown that the iISS properties are
guaranteed if the impulses occur frequently enough. For impulsive systems with
stabilizing impulses and stable continuous dynamics for zero input, we obtain
an iISS result which shows that the entire system is uniformly iISS over
arbitrary impulse time sequences. As applications, iISS properties of a class
of bilinear systems are studied in details with simulations to demonstrate the
presented results
Some new less conservative criteria for impulsive synchronization of a hyperchaotic Lorenz system based on small impulsive signals
In this Letter the issue of impulsive Synchronization of a hyperchaotic Lorenz system is developed. We propose an impulsive synchronization scheme of the hyperchaotic Lorenz system including chaotic systems. Some new and sufficient conditions on varying impulsive distances are established in order to guarantee the synchronizability of the systems using the synchronization method. In particular, some simple conditions are derived for synchronizing the systems by equal impulsive distances. The boundaries of the stable regions are also estimated. Simulation results show the proposed synchronization method to be effective. (C) 2009 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved
State estimation for discrete-time neural networks with Markov-mode-dependent lower and upper bounds on the distributed delays
Copyright @ 2012 Springer VerlagThis paper is concerned with the state estimation problem for a new class of discrete-time neural networks with Markovian jumping parameters and mixed time-delays. The parameters of the neural networks under consideration switch over time subject to a Markov chain. The networks involve both the discrete-time-varying delay and the mode-dependent distributed time-delay characterized by the upper and lower boundaries dependent on the Markov chain. By constructing novel Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals, sufficient conditions are firstly established to guarantee the exponential stability in mean square for the addressed discrete-time neural networks with Markovian jumping parameters and mixed time-delays. Then, the state estimation problem is coped with for the same neural network where the goal is to design a desired state estimator such that the estimation error approaches zero exponentially in mean square. The derived conditions for both the stability and the existence of desired estimators are expressed in the form of matrix inequalities that can be solved by the semi-definite programme method. Impulsive consensus for complex dynamical networks with nonidentical nodes and coupling time-delays
This paper investigates the problem of global consensus between a complex dynamical network (CDN) and a known goal signal by designing an impulsive consensus control scheme. The dynamical network is complex with respect to the uncertainties, nonidentical nodes, and coupling time-delays. The goal signal can be a measurable vector function or a solution of a dynamical system. By utilizing the Lyapunov function and Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional methods, robust global exponential stability criteria are derived for the error system, under which global exponential impulsive consensus is achieved for the CDN. These criteria are expressed in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) and algebraic inequalities. Thus, the impulsive controller can be easily designed by solving the derived inequalities. Meanwhile, the estimations of the consensus rate for global exponential consensus are also obtained. Two examples with numerical simulations are worked out for illustration. © 2011 Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics.published_or_final_versio
Time-delayed impulsive control for discrete-time nonlinear systems with actuator saturation
This paper focuses on the problem of time-delayed impulsive control with actuator saturation for discrete-time dynamical systems. By establishing a delayed impulsive difference inequality, combining with convex analysis and inequality techniques, some sufficient conditions are obtained to ensure exponential stability for discrete-time dynamical systems via time-delayed impulsive controller with actuator saturation. The designed controller admits the existence of some transmission delays in impulsive feedback law, and the control input variables are required to stay within an availability zone. Several numerical simulations are also given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed results. 
An advanced delay-dependent approach of impulsive genetic regulatory networks besides the distributed delays, parameter uncertainties and time-varying delays
In this typescript, we concerned the problem of delay-dependent approach of impulsive genetic regulatory networks besides the distributed delays, parameter uncertainties and time-varying delays. An advanced Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional are defined, which is in triple integral form. Combining the Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional with convex combination method and free-weighting matrix approach the stability conditions are derived with the help of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Some available software collections are used to solve the conditions. Lastly, two numerical examples and their simulations are conferred to indicate the feasibility of the theoretical concepts
