    Type-2 neutrosophic number based multi-attributive border approximation area comparison (MABAC) approach for offshore wind farm site selection in USA.

    The technical, logistical, and ecological challenges associated with offshore wind development necessitate an extensive site selection analysis. Technical parameters such as wind resource, logistical concerns such as distance to shore, and ecological considerations such as fisheries all must be evaluated and weighted, in many cases with incomplete or uncertain data. Making such a critical decision with severe potential economic and ecologic consequences requires a strong decision-making approach to ultimately guide the site selection process. This paper proposes a type-2 neutrosophic number (T2NN) fuzzy based multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) model for offshore wind farm (OWF) site selection. This approach combines the advantages of neutrosophic numbers sets, which can utilize uncertain and incomplete information, with a multi-attributive border approximation area comparison that provides formulation flexibility and easy calculation. Further, this study develops and integrates a techno-economic model for OWFs in the decision-making. A case study is performed to evaluate and rank five proposed OWF sites off the coast of New Jersey. To validate the proposed model, a comparison against three alternative T2NN fuzzy based models is performed. It is demonstrated that the implemented model yields the same ranking order as the alternative approaches. Sensitivity analysis reveals that changing criteria weightings does not affect the ranking order

    Modified EDAS Method Based on Cumulative Prospect Theory for Multiple Attributes Group Decision Making with Interval-valued Intuitionistic Fuzzy Information

    The Interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IVIFSs) based on the intuitionistic fuzzy sets combines the classical decision method is in its research and application is attracting attention. After comparative analysis, there are multiple classical methods with IVIFSs information have been applied into many practical issues. In this paper, we extended the classical EDAS method based on cumulative prospect theory (CPT) considering the decision makers (DMs) psychological factor under IVIFSs. Taking the fuzzy and uncertain character of the IVIFSs and the psychological preference into consideration, the original EDAS method based on the CPT under IVIFSs (IVIF-CPT-MABAC) method is built for MAGDM issues. Meanwhile, information entropy method is used to evaluate the attribute weight. Finally, a numerical example for project selection of green technology venture capital has been given and some comparisons is used to illustrate advantages of IVIF-CPT-MABAC method and some comparison analysis and sensitivity analysis are applied to prove this new methods effectiveness and stability.Comment: 48 page

    Single-valued neutrosophic TODIM method based on cumulative prospect theory for multi-attribute group decision making and its application to medical emergency management evaluation

    In recent years, emergent public health events happen from time to time, which puts forward new requirements for the establishment of a perfect medical emergency system. It is a new direction to evaluate the effectiveness of medical emergency systems from the perspective of multi-attribute group decision making (MAGDM) issues. In such article, we tend to resolve the MAGDM issues under single-valued neutrosophic sets (SVNSs) with TODIM method based on cumulative prospect theory (CPT). And the single-valued neutrosophic TODIM method based on CPT (CPT-SVNTODIM) for MAGDM issues are developed. This new method not only inherits advantages of classical TODIM method, but also has further improvement in some aspects. For example, we set up the entropy to calculate attribute weights for ensuring the more objective decision-making process. Furthermore, it is also an extension of MAGDM method to utilize single-valued neutrosophic numbers (SVNNs) to depict decision makers’ ideas. In addition, we introduce the application of CPT-SVN-TODIM method in the assessment of medical emergency management. And finally, the reliability of CPT-SVN-TODIM method is confirmed by comparing with some other methods

    A Comprehensive Review of the Novel Weighting Methods for Multi-Criteria Decision-Making

    In the realm of multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) problems, the selection of a weighting method holds a critical role. Researchers from diverse fields have consistently employed MCDM techniques, utilizing both traditional and novel methods to enhance the discipline. Acknowledging the significance of staying abreast of such methodological developments, this study endeavors to contribute to the field through a comprehensive review of several novel weighting-based methods: CILOS, IDOCRIW, FUCOM, LBWA, SAPEVO-M, and MEREC. Each method is scrutinized in terms of its characteristics and steps while also drawing upon publications extracted from the Web of Science (WoS) and Scopus databases. Through bibliometric and content analyses, this study delves into the trend, research components (sources, authors, countries, and affiliations), application areas, fuzzy implementations, hybrid studies (use of other weighting and/or ranking methods), and application tools for these methods.     APPLICATION OF HYBRID DIBR-FUCOM-LMAW-BONFERRONI-GREY-EDAS MODEL IN MULTICRITERIA DECISION-MAKING

    The selection of unmanned aerial vehicles for different purposes is a frequent topic of research. This paper presents a hybrid model of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) selection using the Defining Interrelationships Between Ranked criteria (DIBR), Full Consistency Method (FUCOM), Logarithm Methodology of Additive Weights (LMAW) and grey - Evaluation based on Distance from Average Solution (G-EDAS) methods. The above-mentioned model is tested and confirmed in a case study. First of all, in the paper are defined the criteria conditioning the selection, and then with the help of experts and by applying the DIBR, FUCOM and LMAW methods, the weight coefficients of the criteria are determined. The final values of the weight coefficients are obtained by aggregating the values of the criteria weights from all the three methods using the Bonferroni aggregator. Ranking and selection of the optimal UAV from twenty-three defined alternatives is carried out using the G-EDAS method. Sensitivity analysis confirmed a high degree of consistency of the solutions obtained using other MCDM methods, as well as changing the criteria weight coefficients. The proposed model has proved to be stable; its application is also possible in other areas and it is a reliable tool for decision-makers during the selection process

    Algorithms for probabilistic uncertain linguistic multiple attribute group decision making based on the GRA and CRITIC method: application to location planning of electric vehicle charging stations

    Electric vehicles (EVs) could be regarded as one of the most innovative and high technologies all over the world to cope with the fossil fuel energy resource crisis and environmental pollution issues. As the initiatory task of EV charging station (EVCS) construction, site selection play an important part throughout the whole life cycle, which is deemed to be multiple attribute group decision making (MAGDM) problem involving many experts and many conflicting attributes. In this paper, a grey relational analysis (GRA) method is investigated to tackle the probabilistic uncertain linguistic MAGDM in which the attribute weights are completely unknown information. Firstly, the definition of the expected value is then employed to objectively derive the attribute weights based on the CRiteria Importance Through Intercriteria Correlation (CRITIC) method. Then, the optimal alternative is chosen by calculating largest relative relational degree from the probabilistic uncertain linguistic positive ideal solution (PULPIS) which considers both the largest grey relational coefficient from the PULPIS and the smallest grey relational coefficient from the probabilistic uncertain linguistic negative ideal solution (PULNIS). Finally, a numerical case for site selection of electric vehicle charging stations (EVCS) is designed to illustrate the proposed method. The result shows the approach is simple, effective and easy to calculate

    Introducing alternatives ranking with elected nominee (ARWEN) method: a case study of supplier selection

    Supply chain management (SCM) has gradually evolved beyond the straightforward logic of benefits and economic viewpoints. Supplier selection and performance evaluation are the crucial strategic components of any SCM system with a substantial economic impact and risk reduction. Several conflicting factors make supplier selection a challenging multi-criteria decision-making problem. This paper introduces a method called alternative ranking with the elected nominee (ARWEN) to select suppliers in Iran’s dairy product chain store. The primary principle of ARWEN is to choose the best alternative based on the lowest change rate rather than the elected nominee. Four extensions of the ARWEN method are proposed depending upon the nature and level of information available to the decision-makers. A fifth extended version termed E-ARWEN is also recommended to consider the negative form of the elected nominee. Two novel statistical tools, the ranking performance index and the Zakeri-Konstantas distance product correlation coefficient, are also put forth to validate the ARWEN extensions’ outcomes. The results and verification of this new method are carried out through two supplier selection case examples. Comprehensive comparisons were carried out to explore the new methods’ behaviors, indicating ARWEN III and E-ARWEN have similar behavior to VIKOR, SAW, and EDAS in generating rankings

    Plithogenic sets coined by Smarandache in the year 2018 has unveiled new research opportunities in the field of Multi criteria decision making (MCDM). The contributions and developments of new decision making approaches based on plithogeny is gaining high momentum presently. The theoretical conceptualization of different phenomenon with plithogenic sets are also applied in designing optimal solutions to the decision making problems. This review paper presents the applications of plithogenic MCDM from the year 2018 to till date in almost all the spheres of decision making scenario. The literature works of the researchers presented in this paper will certainly portray the compatibility and flexibility of plithogenic sets, operators and other decision making tools. Though the time span considered for counting on the plithogeny based works is short, the applications of plithogenic sets are growing many in number and also plithogeny based theories are amplifying in a speedy manner. This has motivated the authors to investigate on the proliferation of plithogeny applications in decision making. This review paper has focused on the dimensions of different fields to which plithogeny is applied, new plithogeny based theories, extension of plithogeny, plithogenic based operators and measures. In addition to it the data on the publications of plithogeny based articles and interests of researchers are also presented as a part of this review work. The overall impact of plithogeny in the arena of decision making science and on the researchers of the same field is well sketched in this paper with the intention and hope of inspiring plithogenic researchers
