    Stability analysis of impulsive stochastic Cohenā€“Grossberg neural networks with mixed time delays

The official published version can be obtained from the link - Copyright 2008 Elsevier LtdIn this paper, the problem of stability analysis for a class of impulsive stochastic Cohenā€“Grossberg neural networks with mixed delays is considered. The mixed time delays comprise both the time-varying and infinite distributed delays. By employing a combination of the M-matrix theory and stochastic analysis technique, a sufficient condition is obtained to ensure the existence, uniqueness, and exponential p-stability of the equilibrium point for the addressed impulsive stochastic Cohenā€“Grossberg neural network with mixed delays. The proposed method, which does not make use of the Lyapunov functional, is shown to be simple yet effective for analyzing the stability of impulsive or stochastic neural networks with variable and/or distributed delays. We then extend our main results to the case where the parameters contain interval uncertainties. Moreover, the exponential convergence rate index is estimated, which depends on the system parameters.     Design of exponential state estimators for neural networks with mixed time delays

The official published version can be obtained from the link below - Copyright 2007 Elsevier Ltd.In this Letter, the state estimation problem is dealt with for a class of recurrent neural networks (RNNs) with mixed discrete and distributed delays. The activation functions are assumed to be neither monotonic, nor differentiable, nor bounded. We aim at designing a state estimator to estimate the neuron states, through available output measurements, such that the dynamics of the estimation error is globally exponentially stable in the presence of mixed time delays. By using the Laypunovā€“Krasovskii functional, a linear matrix inequality (LMI) approach is developed to establish sufficient conditions to guarantee the existence of the state estimators. We show that both the existence conditions and the explicit expression of the desired estimator can be characterized in terms of the solution to an LMI.     Global exponential stability of nonautonomous neural network models with unbounded delays

    For a nonautonomous class of n-dimensional di erential system with in nite delays, we give su cient conditions for its global exponential stability, without showing the existence of an equilibrium point, or a periodic solution, or an almost periodic solution. We apply our main result to several concrete neural network models, studied in the literature, and a comparison of results is given. Contrary to usual in the literature about neural networks, the assumption of bounded coe cients is not need to obtain the global exponential stability.     For a family of differential equations with infinite delay, we give sufficient conditions for the global asymptotic, and global exponential stability of an equilibrium point. This family includes most of the delayed models of neural networks of Cohen-Grossberg type, with both bounded and unbounded distributed delay, for which general asymptotic and exponential stability criteria are derived.     Convergence of asymptotic systems of non-autonomous neural network models with infinite distributed delays

    In this paper we investigate the global convergence of solutions of non-autonomous Hopfield neural network models with discrete time-varying delays, infinite distributed delays, and possible unbounded coefficient functions. Instead of using Lyapunov functionals, we explore intrinsic features between the non-autonomous systems and their asymptotic systems to ensure the boundedness and global convergence of the solutions of the studied models. Our results are new and complement known results in the literature.     Exponential Stability Analysis of Mixed Delayed Quaternion-Valued Neural Networks Via Decomposed Approach

    Ā© 2013 IEEE. With the application of quaternion in technology, quaternion-valued neural networks (QVNNs) have attracted many scholars' attention in recent years. For the existing results, dynamical behavior is an important studying side. In this paper, we mainly research the existence, uniqueness and exponential stability criteria of solutions for the QVNNs with discrete time-varying delays and distributed delays by means of generalized 2-norm. In order to avoid the noncommutativity of quaternion multiplication, the QVDNN system is firstly decomposed into four real-number systems by Hamilton rules. Then, we obtain the sufficient criteria for the existence, uniqueness and exponential stability of solutions by special Lyapunov-type functional, Cauchy convergence principle and monotone function. Furthermore, several corollaries are derived from the main results. Finally, we give one numerical example and its simulated figures to illustrate the effectiveness of the obtained conclusion
